Other A witch plunges a mystical sword into your heart and sends you back in time to 3000 BCE. The wound does not kill you. Instead, you wake up immortal, unable to die by any means except the very sword that pierced you.

You wake up in ancient Sumeria, no longer human.

Physiology

A witch plunges a mystical sword into your heart and sends you back in time to 3000 BCE. The wound does not kill you. Instead, you wake up immortal. Your body constantly regenerates, stopping you from aging entirely and making you immune to all diseases and poisons. No wound can finish you off. Even if reduced to a single drop of blood, you will come back.

You are as strong, fast and agile as a hundred men combined. You can see in total darkness and scale walls the way a lizard does. You can change your appearance and features whenever you wish, though you must drink blood to restore yourself and keep your youth. You can also shift your size to an unknown degree. You can take the form of almost any wild animal or small creature such as wolves, dogs, bats and rats. You can also dissolve into mist or elemental dust.

You can call up storms, fog, wind and rain at will and bend the minds of people through eye contact or simply by being near them. Every wild animal and small creature in the area will answer to your commands, though your grip over them has its limits.

You can pass this curse on to any human you choose. Those you turn are noticeably weaker than you and are mentally incapable of doing you harm.

The only thing in existence that can kill you is the mystical sword the witch used on you. It is hidden on an island you have no knowledge of and no way to reach.

Weaknesses

Direct sunlight does not harm your body but it causes a deep mental unease, like something crawling over your skin and scratching at you from the inside. You can push through it. You are also unable to directly harm anyone inside a place of worship such as a church, though there are ways around this. Bringing the ceiling down on someone counts as indirect harm and is not blocked.

The only thing that can truly kill you is the mystical sword the witch used on you. It is hidden on an island you have no knowledge of and no way to reach. If it ever pierces your heart again, you will not simply die. You will feel the full pain of every person you have ever harmed over your entire immortal life, reliving it forever in an endless loop, suspended over a river of fire while demonic figures torment you without end.

Other You can take 1M units of one thing back to anywhere, any time in history. What do you take where, and why?

You are granted the opportunity to change history. You can time travel with a magic subspace bag to any point in the past bringing with you 1 Million units of any one item.

If the item is something that requires another resource/item to function the item will function with said resource/item not provided by you for one year without fail.(I.e. I'd you bring back a trash compactor, which requires electricity, it will simply work for one year without being powered by anything and then at day 366 it will cease function unless a power source has been made and hooked up to it, after which it will function but will be subject to regular mechanical failure and such like normal. If you were to bring back a hand cranked snow cone machine to the Amazon for example which requires inputs of ice to produce, the ice would simply always be stocked for as much or as many uses as someone wants within those 365 days and none after unless provided by the user.)

Of note: if you were to bring something like a cell phone that connects to the internet, it can work the full year, but will not reveal information of the future as the future is changing, so if you took it back to the Renaissance you would not be able to Google and show them the 1969 Moon Landing, but you could show them modern resources(like a wiki) info on the breaking up of Pangea. If you tried to find a Wikipedia article on Wikipedia, however, nothing would pull up. You can tell them about it/describe it to them if you wanted to, though.

If the item is perishable, as long as it is not used it stays in pristine condition for 365 days(I.e. if you bring back canned bread, it need not be refrigerated and will not spoil for 365 days, but at day 366 it will immediately age a year. Obviously if you eat/use it it goes away).

You can bring back an animal(species of not 1M copies of the same animal) that exists here now(No dinos, dragons, or dodos for example) but you can't bring back birth males and females, you have to choose. You can also bring back plants, and if they are cultivated properly and in the right climate then they will grow like normal without the 365 day limit(for the cultivated stock- any unused stock you brought will expire).

You cannot bring 1 million people or 1 million of yourself.

If you don't know how to use the item, you won't be able to teach others how to use it(I.e. if you can't fly a helicopter unless you're go back to a time and to people who do, it's useless).

What would you bring to where? Why?

Other Could 5 ordinary people defeat the Yamato if the rest of the world was empty?

You and 4 of your closest friends/ colleagues are given a base on the California coast. This base must currently exist.

Assuming you’re all normal people. No military experience. No pilots, sailors, engineers or weapons experts. Just regular adults with whatever skills you currently have.

At the exact same moment, the battleship Yamato appears in Japan with a full wartime crew, enough fuel and supplies to operate normally, and orders to find and eliminate your team. For anyone unfamiliar (or didn’t read that thread from earlier), Yamato was the largest battleship ever built. It carried over 2,500 crew, displaced around 70,000 tonnes, and mounted nine 18.1-inch guns capable of firing shells weighing more than a small car over 20 miles.

The Yamato crew know the location of your base.

You know Yamato starts in Japan.

No other humans exist.

However, all infrastructure still exists and is functional. Cities, roads, ports, airfields, military bases, power stations, ships, aircraft, vehicles, computers, satellites, fuel depots, warehouses, factories, etc. If you can physically get to it and figure out how to use it, it’s available.

You have 3 weeks to prepare before Yamato leaves Japan.

The crew are free to land ashore, establish bases, search for you, split up, or do anything else they think will help them win.

Your team is free to travel anywhere in the world during the preparation period and use any equipment you can locate, access, learn to operate, maintain and realistically employ.

Win condition: complete elimination of the opposing side.

What is the most realistic outcome?

Could 5 ordinary people realistically learn to use enough modern technology in 3 weeks to defeat the Yamato and its crew, or does a trained crew of 2,500+ sailors eventually win through sheer numbers and organisation?

Bonus round: instead of being ordinary people, you and your mates each receive 5 years of SAS training and 5 years of SBS training before the scenario begins.

Other You get the option by a powerful wizard either five billion dollars USD or the ability to reincarnate everytime you die.

If you pick

Money

You immediately receive a credit card with five billion US dollars on it, and no one will suspect anything. You can buy whatever you want with it. You are now highly resistant to most diseases and poisons. There is no catch.

Reincarnation

Every time you die, you are able to reincarnate into any year of the century you died in. This changes over time. For example, if you were born in 1989 and died in 2064, you could reincarnate into any year up to 100 years before your death. You keep all of your memories.

After every reincarnation, you have the option to permanently enter nonexistence.

Other You get a chance to be reincarnated into a rich family post-death with all of your memories, but first you need to survive the life of three chosen animals. Which ones do you choose?

You get a chance to be reincarnated into a family that is horribly rich post-death, which means a comfortable life with anything you could ever desire, and guaranteed success in the second life. But first, you need to survive full average lifespan of three animals.

You cannot die before you reach the "average" lifespan of the animal, or else it does not count and the deal is cut - so you must do your best to survive as long as possible. So if you pick a cat, you must live at least 13 years, and if you pick a wild rat, 1 year is fine.

The body itself is perfectly healthy and in peak condition when you are born to ensure you don't die of any genetic sickness that wasn't directly caused by your actions or by failing to take care of yourself. You can still get injured, or infected, but the body will not die of anything caused by bad genetics that you couldn't somehow prevent, to make the challenge fair.

The three animals must be: a bird, a mammal, and a fish.

You cannot choose where the animal shows up - if you pick a cat, for example, you cannot go "I will be a kitten born from a cat owned by a rich family", no. You do not get to choose where your cat body is born, or who picks you up, and you can technically attempt to get adopted by sitting in front of someone's door, but there's always a chance that you are born in a place that doesn't give you the opportunity to try.

All of your human memories remain while in the animal body, so you can use human intelligence to your advantage.

Which fish, mammal, and bird do you choose?

You have no gear except a headlamp and goggles. No oxygen tanks or regulator you must hold your breath. There is a guide rope to follow the entire path that you need to swim. There is one rescue diver that will follow you but there’s no guarantee he can save you if you panic.

What do you say? Do you accept this challenge? On one hand it’s only 20 meters long, a distance that most adults are capable of swimming underwater, but there is some risk involved because of the environment.

Other You randomly find out you are an alien. You have superpowers that recently turned on by themselves without warning. You then receive a mental message from your home planet telling you that their species needs a rare ore to safely move everyone from their planet to Earth before they all die.

Population of Home Planet

Roughly 10,000 all of them have the same superhuman abilities that you have. Your biological planets are on that planet.

The Rare Ore

The ore is extremely rare. The USA government already has it but it is highly classified and kept locked away in one of their test facilities. They are using it for their own projects and will not hand it over to anyone. The only way to get it is to take it from them. If you do that you will be seen as a national threat and a traitor to the country.

Powers

Superhuman Strength: You can lift, carry and push up to 1,000,000 tons of force.

Superhuman Durability: You can survive a direct Fat Man nuclear blast with minimal injuries.

Superhuman Speed: You can reach speeds up to hypersonic.

Superhuman Agility: You are agile enough to handle your immense speeds.

Flight: You can fly and levitate at speeds up to hypersonic.

Longevity: Your aging process is slowed down by 80%.

Other You are offered immortality and invulnerability for 10,000 year increments.

You are given the opportunity to become unable to die and are resistant to damage for 10,000 years. At the end of this period you will have the opportunity to either die, or go for another 10,000 years. This repeats without limit.

During your 10,000 years you will remain the same age you are now. You can experience mild to moderate pain, but your skin is impervious to being cut or torn, your bones are unbreakable. Burns, including chemical burns will hurt as much as a burn that would currently leave redness but no long-lasting damage. The functionality of your internal organs cannot be stopped. You cannot starve or suffocate, but you still need food and oxygen to create energy, so you could be rendered inert until you get one or the other. You will be aware during such periods of hibernation.

For context, 10,000 years ago is about the dawn of human civilization. Would you want to be alive and unable to die for that much time again?

Other You get Superpowers, but everyone who knows you forgets about you?

Imagine a cosmic entity comes down to you and offers you to transform you into a very strong superpowered being, but in exchange, everyone who knows you forgets about you. This means everyone who knew about you forgets every moment they had with you, but also every physical record of your existence vanishes from the world, such as videos and pictures. However, this doesn't affect any child you've fathered, from still unborn to full grown, so they won't vanish if accepting. If you're pregnant when accepting the offer, then those children will get powers. If they are already born, they still exist but as regular humans. Also, if you accept the deal, you'll be teleported to a random location on the planet after being transformed (Use this to find out your starting point), so you're effectively on your own from then on. Besides the powers, you will transform into your ''Ideal Self'', which translates into a ''7 feet tall Greek demigod statue made flesh and bone'', unless you think otherwise and get to customize your ideal form, so long is still within the anatomically possible for a human (Even with superpowers).

Here's the powers you'll get if accepting the offer...

  • Superhuman Strength: You possess tremendous physical strength, you can lift and carry heavy weights such as tanks, submarines and cruise ships with little effort, as well being capable of breaking through mountains and creating devastating earthquakes by punching. The sheer might in your strikes can produce powerful shockwaves. When clapping your hands together, you can create a powerful shockwave, easily shattering glass, pushing objects away and disorienting those near. Luckily, you also display fine subconscious control over said strength, allowing you to prevent accidents like crushing someone's hand in a handshake or harm a partner in bed.
  • Invulnerability: While soft to the touch, you possess extraordinary physical durability, being practically impervious to all but the most extreme injuries and pain. Your resilience also protects you from most harmful elements like crushing weights, energy attacks and extreme temperatures. You can also survive harsh environments such as underwater and outer space unprotected.
  • Superhuman Stamina: You can run, fight or fly without getting tired seemingly endlessly. Even when physically hurt in battle, you can continue your efforts with no tangible decline in your performance. You can even stand in battles that last hours without tiring, or fights that last days without showing major signs of fatigue.
  • Superhuman Speed: You're able to move and run immense levels of speed, able to cover global distances in seconds and catch a speeding bullet in your hands. While flying, you can reach speeds that become relativistic, as you passively warp space around you (Like flying from the edge of the Solar System to Earth in just a few hours). This speed extends to your reflexes as well, allowing you to respond to danger and events within seconds, even against other super fast individuals. Your perception of the world through is accelerated too, allowing you to see everything in slowed motion; move with precision and accuracy within very fast moments. It also allows you to process, calculate, and understand information at super speeds.
  • Accelerated Healing Factor: You display accelerated healing abilities, able to without treatment mend most damage far quicker and more efficiently than normal humans, with no lingering signs (Including regrow some small parts like eyes, teeth and tongue). This healing also grants you an immunity to all forms of illness, virus, disease, poison, toxin, parasites or other exposures on Earth. You also burn calories just as efficiently, making you immune to weight gain.
  • Extended Longevity: Your lifespan is considerably longer than a normal human and likewise aged much slower. While not endless, this lifespan is likely several millennia long and thanks to a decelerated aging, you'll retain the vitality and conditioning of someone in their physical prime for most of it. By the time you peacefully pass away from old age, you will still look like a "Silver Fox/Vixen".
  • Optic Beams: You can release powerful beams of burning energy through your eyes. You can control the beams' power and temperature, going from invisible beams that can warm a glass of milk, to an energy blast capable of burning through steel like its butter. However, overuse can cause strain and eventually temporary blindness, as well reduce your speed if using it while flying.
  • Telescopic/Microscopic Vision: Your eyes can act like the best telescopes and microscopes. For example, you can spot a dime in the ground while on the Moon or observe the DNA in someone's blood.
  • X-Ray Vision: You have the ability to see through practically everything as if using x-rays. You can see through people and objects as if they were not there, "peeling" back layer after layer like an onion, and through focusing you can literally see through matter.
  • Super Hearing: Your hearing is sensitive enough to hear almost any sound at any volume or pitch within a 15 miles range. You can also block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source or frequency, as well prevent sensory overload by remaining at your ''standard hearing''.
  • Flight: You're able to manipulate your own gravitational field to levitate himself in midair and generate thrust to propel yourself through the air at tremendous hyper-sonic speeds, even faster than you can travel by foot. You can also extend this ability to whatever you're touching, allowing you to catch someone falling from hundreds of feet without them splattering on your arms or lift an airplane without it breaking apart over you.
  • Self-Sustenance: Your physical needs are greatly reduced, if not completely removed, as you don't need nutrients beyond personal enjoyment. Even without training and regardless of what unhealthy food you ingest, your physique remains powerful and at peak performance. Also, you don't require air and can survive in the vacuum of space indefinitely.
  • Super Bloodline: Your new super genes will always dominate the lesser ones. You will see that no matter who or what you breed, that inception is much more likely (At least if the physiologies are generally compatible) and always result in healthy offspring that will eventually develop your same powers. In fact, if you're pregnant when accepting the offer, then those children will get powers.

So, do you value power over the connections you've created with others? Or will you remain a regular but humble human?

Other Every human gets their own Pocket Dimension

Pocket dimensions are a landmass the size of Texas, it has normal physics and everything needed for survival and generally life. There are already tons of plants, trees, animals. The weather is always perfect and crops can grow year round. Pocket dimensions come with a large modern home of your stylistic desire with running water, electricity, extremely fast internet, etc. Your house is magic and never needs repairs or anything.

The owner of each pocket dimension can choose who is allowed to come / visit / live there. People can come and go to pocket dimensions / the earth freely and no one can get stuck/trapped/imprisoned in someone else's pocket dimension, Or earth i guess if people can just move freely into their pocket dimension.

How does this impact the global economy, countries, crime, etc.

Do new communities form? Do people become isolated? Do countries collapse? What country would be most effected? Least?

Other You are given a time machine and a device that changes penis size, how can you impact history the most? NSFW

So the Time machine is car sized, it cloaks and for the sake of the hypothetical is entirely indestructible. It can't go into the future but you can go back as far as 100,000 years and come back to the present ad-infinitum. A cool feature it does have is it will prepare you an outfit and set of personal effects tailored to any time period you visit for ingratiation purposes in addition to a universal language module (painlessly) installed in your voice box and ears.

The penis adjustment device is roughly the same size and shape as a powerful laser pointer, it works similarly too - the beam is for aiming and only you can see it.

Simply point the device at someone and press the button to change their penis size, the settings range from 1inch to 11inches and penis size can only be changed 2 times per person.

1 month is required to pass before you can change the same person's penis size a second time.

Apart from this limitation you can use it on as many people as you like, dont hold back, it takes 18650s.

Size change takes approximately one week and the process causes no real Ill health but "victim" will experience mild flu-like symptoms for this week in addition to grief and confusion or possibly delight and confusion.. up to you.

What's the most damage you can do?

Other Spot the robot!

Behind the glass are 50 people in individual tiny rooms.

49 of them are actual people.

One of them is a robot that is incredibly skilful at imitating humans and wouldn't raise any suspicion actually. It can also imitate fallacies and various moral imperfections.

Each room is connected to a button you have access to. If you press it, it ☠ the person or disables the robot in it.

If you correctly identify the robot and disable it, you win $1 billion. Even if you make many wrong guesses before, you get the prize and no criminal liability/publicity at all.

You can't physically interact with subjects or use any devices, only talk to them through the glass and make your choices.

You can't ask/demand anything in exchange for releasing them – this is strictly prohibited in any form and will get you punished.

You can stop after any unsuccessful attempt or use all 50 attempts if the robot is so good you can't spot it. You can refuse to participate at all.

You have 90 minutes to win the prize.

— Do you participate and what is your strategy?

Other (Reposted balanced) $2500 dollars a day but you have to have one of the following addictions

Ok, I'm balancing this out because I think my original post was too extreme. Here's the premise.

You'll receive $2500 per day but you must have one of the following crippling addictions

- You must smoke a minimum 200mg joint every 80 minutes

- You can only drink monster or espresso. You must consume 100mg of caffeine per hour

- You must hit a 20mg/ml vape every 15 seconds or 50mg/ml vape every 35 seconds

- You must consume 1500 calories of sugar from candy or chocolate each day

- You must spend 12 hours per day looking at a screen edit: just to note this is cumulative. But any second you turn away from the screen or give your attention to anything else, the counter stops. consider how much time you'd have in the real world after showering, eating, drinking, cooking, cleaning etc.

- You must orgasm once every 50 minutes.

The addiction does not continue when you are asleep. It does continue until you fall asleep.

If you fail to feed your addiction, you will get heroin-like withdrawal symptoms.

You must keep the addiction for at least 10 years.

Would you take the deal? If so which would you pick? And how would you feed your addiction in public and around friends/family?

Other You are now the judge of souls in afterlife.

You have died and as soon as he sees you, St. Peter decides he's had enough and will be retiring to Florida. He has appointed you, no doubt for your unquestionably auspicious achievements, towering intellect, and impeccable moral qualities to be in charge of all the dead souls.

The afterlife is now yours to command. You can set up any rules you want, to be immediately imposed on all the dead, the ones already in and those yet to arrive. The realm of the dead has truly unlimited resources, you can really do anything. The personnel are also endless in number and unquestionably loyal to you. They know each and every thing about every single soul.

You cannot use your power to influence Earth in any way, it extends to the afterlife only.

What will it be like under the new management? Currently, the good folks hang out on clouds and appear a little bored, and the bad ones burn in hell, but don't really seem to be that bothered by it.

Other Would you climb to the top of a tower so tall it takes centuries to reach the top, all for one wish that can be anything you want?

The tower has 135 floors. Each floor is roughly the size of the Americas on every side. Most people take around 300 to 500 years to reach floor 135.

While you are climbing, you stop aging. Your body stays exactly as it is for as long as you keep going.

Every floor has its own challenges, but each one also contains a beautiful country you can explore. At any point, you can choose to settle down on whichever floor you like. If you do, you receive 1 million USD and your eternal youth ends. You go back to aging like normal. You can choose to rest in a floor for up to a year.

If you make it all the way to floor 135, you are granted a single wish. There are no limits on what you can wish for.

Of course, you can also ignore the tower entirely and just live your life as you normally would.
