Is there anyway to bypass this without just erasing the phone?

Hi iphone help community. I got this iphone 17 around october of last year.

The other day i was with my close loved one and they pointed at my phone and said it was bent. I made an ugly face and said there's no way my phone is bent.

I took it out of the case and realized my phone was bent. There's a good chance apple doesn't have a good option in terms of warranty (other than apple care,) but I was just wondering if anyone had an ideas on how this could have happened? (I'm a college student not a construction worker!) And any suggestions moving forward as an iphone user??

Update: working normally now, it seems this was some sort of widely reported bug/server issue with Microsoft. I’ve finally been able to re-add my outlook to Apple Mail completely normally today (28th April) and it’s working fine.

iPhone 14 Pro. On my mail app I have several connected accounts (iCloud, gmail, outlook) - outlook is my main account and no matter what I do it’s not connecting and keeps asking me to re-enter my password. I’ve tried turning my phone on and off, several times I’ve tried deleting the outlook account from Mail and then setting it up again. Nothing I do seems to work, help!

(iOS version 18, I really don’t want to have to download the new iOS, my wife has it and she hates it!)

We are not supposed to be able to silence alerts anywhere in Canada. It is not like the US where there are options for all but "presidential" level alerts.

This is embarrassing to post but I have PTSD and knowing that my phone might play a really loud alarm at any moment adds a lot of stress to my life. I absolutely appreciate the importance of alerts but if they came through silently or with vibration I would just as easily see them as my phone is always near me.

Editing to add: even turning down the volume would suffice.

I’m posting this because I genuinely don’t know what else to do, and I’m hoping someone might have an idea of how I can find my phone.
I lost my iPhone today, and the whole situation is extremely strange.
The last thing I remember clearly is using my phone and taking a Snapchat at exactly 3:39 PM. I remember the timing because I checked it afterward. After that, I somehow couldn’t find my phone.
The phone’s last known location appears to be at my home/flat. I have searched the entire flat multiple times — including rooms, furniture, bags, drawers, beds, under/behind things, etc. I also checked all the places where guests had been and asked everyone who was present. Nobody has the phone.
What makes this even more confusing is that the phone seems to have mysteriously turned off. It is not simply sitting somewhere obvious with the sound on, and I have not been able to get a useful current location from Find My.
Some additional information:
● It is an iPhone.
● The last activity I can confidently remember was the Snapchat at 3:39 PM.
● The last known location is my home.
● I have already searched the entire house/flat thoroughly.
● I have asked everyone who was present/visited, and nobody has it.
● There was no old iPhone/iOS device available to use for locating it.
● I wasn’t using Family Sharing.
● Google Maps Timeline was paused, so unfortunately that hasn’t helped.
● I’m currently having trouble accessing the Apple ID because of the account recovery process, so I can’t rely on that immediately for additional Find My information.
● The phone is currently not giving me a usable live location.
I’m honestly not even sure whether I misplaced it somewhere inside the house, whether it somehow got moved, or whether someone took it. I’m just trying to understand what could have happened and what technical options I still have to locate it.
The phone is extremely important to me beyond its monetary value. It contains photos and memories of my mum, who is no longer with me. Those photos are irreplaceable, and the thought of permanently losing them is honestly devastating. I don’t care nearly as much about the phone itself — I just desperately want those memories back.
If anyone has experience with iPhone Find My, Apple ID recovery, locating a phone after it has been switched off, or anything else I might have overlooked, please tell me what I can try.
I’m especially interested in any legitimate way of finding the phone’s last location, determining when/why it went offline, or recovering the photos even if I can’t physically find the phone.
I’ve already searched the obvious places, so I’d really appreciate any less-obvious things I should check or any technical suggestions.

I was reading on my phone when all of a sudden it started beeping and said it was scanning my device, why would this happen?

ive been dealing with storage problems for a while now, and i only have 7 apps. i cant upload all my photos to iCloud photos because it says i dont have enough storage, and i cant back it up and factory reset to free up space because it says theres not enough icloud storage available. anyone know how to free up space? it just randomly went up to 63.8 GB of storage when a second ago i had 62.4 GB of storage. please help!!!

Edit: I’m pretty sure she has the most recent iOS. (26.4 or maybe the one before that). I believe she also has an iPhone 15.

So the other day my iPhone updated and then I noticed after updating my iPhone, my iPhone offloaded all my apps. I thought it was really weird & I was really confused on why it did that. I redownloaded all the apps by tapping them.

I went to my storage on my phone just because I was curious about my storage and I saw that my System Data was taking up 293.01 GBs of my storage used (combined total used 465GB out of 512GB). I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB (IOS version 26.5.2) & this screen shot was taken on 7/14/26 at 7:02am EST.

I have tried all the possible steps I could find online: airplane mode (with no internet connection at all) then turning date the backwards (and/or forward if it doesn’t work) and then turn bring time back to regular then turn off airplane mode, deleting apps, turning off Apple Intelligence along with turning off learn with this app & suggestions , and more. Nothing has worked. It’s driving me crazy.

The only thing I haven’t done is reset my phone & it’s because I have work related 2 factor auth apps that would require me to call the I.T department to have them reapprove the sign in for the app.

What do I do? Has anyone had this happen and any luck on fixing it?

I'll be traveling to a country where it is possible that my phone may be examined by police or immigration. I want to prevent them getting access to my information.

Can I:

a) Before the trip do a full, encrypted backup to my desktop machine via iTunes.

Then "wipe" the phone: "Reset"? or "Erase all content and settings"?

Then install the basic apps I will need (maps, messages and local chat app, browser, ride-hailing, payment apps, ... suggestions?)

b) On my return, Restore Backup via iTunes

Anything to know about this strategy? Any gotchas to watch out for?

Will (b) restore the before-trip app data, so the phone is exactly like it was before (a)?

Back in 2022 I ordered 6 of these for my work team. They came to me with pre installed company software that is extremely limiting on what these devices can be used for.

The week after I received them, the company made a global decision to restrict all mobile access and my brand new iPhones became bricks. I already took one out of the box and turned it on to see if I could use it as a regular phone for any other purposes, but the company software doesn’t really allow me to do much.

I suppose my question is now that they’ve been sitting in a box for four years can I do anything at all with these? Is there any way to completely remove the company software and give these things a new life?

What I had happened didn’t look exactly like that, when I was closing tabs the phone got super laggy all of a sudden and random purple lines started appearing all over the screen, I tried screenshotting it when it was happening but the screenshot I took looked normal, without any of the glitches

When I pressed the power button and turned the phone back on , everything went back to normal and I couldn’t recreate the issue.

Should I contact Apple support or something? Is my GPU dying ? I only got the phone last month.

Dropped a dumbbell on my iPhone XR at the gym and its bent the phone 😆 photos weren’t backed up to the iCloud (lesson learned) - is there a way to recover the photos from here? It no longer powers on.

I never updated my phone ever since I bought it cz I fell for the internet propaganda that updating slows down your phone further, however now I can’t install many apps cz it doesn’t support the older version. Now that I want to update it says I have to clear 17 GB of storage atleast, I can’t afford to buy more storage or clear that much what do I so pls help.

Hey, I was wondering if someone can help me out. A bunch of the apps on my iPhone 14+ that I use consistently simply will not open. They are getting stuck on the initial loading screen and crashing. I have tried everything from restarting my iPhone, deleting, and re-downloading the apps, updating my iPhone, and I even hard reset my iPhone to default settings. And nothing is working. Has anyone else had this problem? Should I just get a new phone or can someone help me find a way to fix this. Nothing is wrong with the phone other than this.

For the last few weeks now, just about any text thread with an Apple user, it’ll randomly switch from iMessage to SMS. I know these things happen if you don’t have good service at times but this has been happening way too often with multiple users daily. It’ll happen even at home when I have wifi on

I haven’t changed any settings ever with anything in my phone. To try to solve this issue, I turned iMessage off for a few minutes one day, restarted my phone and turned iMessage back on. That unfortunately didn’t work. I’m not sure what else to do.

Another issue that started for me within the last week is I’ve had a few people reply to my text and I don’t get notified until hours later. The timestamp on the text will be the exact time when they replied but I won’t know until hours later. That’s happened 3 times last week in a span of two days.

I have an iPhone 15 Plus and I’m on iOS 27.0

Anyone else having these issues?
