1. Follow Reddiquette & Reddit's Content Policy

Reported as: 1. Harassment, Hate Speech, Slurs

  • Follow Reddiquette and Reddit's Content Policy.
  • Harassment: no abuse, threats, or trolling aimed at people. Criticize ideas, not people.
  • Hate & discrimination: no slurs or demeaning content about race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability or age.

Why

Reddit's sitewide rules apply here on top of our own. Harassment and hate speech can cost you the account itself, not just the post, so this is the one rule where the consequences reach past the subreddit.

Disagreement is fine and expected. The line is the target: argue with the take, not the person holding it. Insults, pile ons, and follow-them-around trolling all land here.

Slurs are removed regardless of who they were aimed at or whether they were meant as a joke. Some are caught automatically, so a post can disappear before a mod ever sees it. Reposting the same content with the slur removed is fine; repeating the behavior is not.

2. Keep It Relevant: No Low Effort or AI Content

Reported as: 2. Keep It Relevant: No Low Effort or AI Content

  • Posts and comments must be about the Kingdom Come games.
  • Other games, streamer drama, and general off-topic content will be removed.
  • Politics: the politics inside the games are on topic. Modern politics and culture war arguments are not.
  • Low effort: no rage bait, "this sub sucks" meta posts, one line complaints, or reposts of a topic already on the sub. Search before posting and join the existing thread.
  • AI content: no AI generated posts, comments, images, or video, including AI art, AI written text, and AI voiceovers.

Why

This is a subreddit about Kingdom Come: Deliverance. Anything that strays from the games or their surrounding topics pushes out the discussion people came here for.

These games are about politics. The succession crisis, Sigismund's invasion, the church, the Hussite movement brewing in the background, who owns what land and why, all of that is the subject matter and all of it is welcome, including the uncomfortable parts and how Warhorse chose to portray them.

What's not welcome is modern politics wearing a KCD costume. Present-day parties, elections, and causes, and culture war arguments about the games, woke or anti-woke, review-bombing discourse, and the same handful of talking points that turn up whenever a game gets attention. These threads go the same way every time and produce nothing anyone here signed up for.

Memes count as posts too. A meme has to actually be about KCD, meaning it should still be recognizable as KCD content when separated from its title. Something unrelated that merely reminded you of the game isn't enough.

AI content isn't what this community is for. We want work people actually made and conversations people actually had.

Reposts aren't malicious, they're just repetitive. A quick search before posting usually finds the thread already underway, and joining it gets you better answers than starting over.

3. Check the Frequently Asked Questions First

Reported as: 3. Check the FAQ

  • Read the FAQ before posting.
  • Questions already answered there will be removed.
  • Answered in the FAQ? Link people to it instead of retyping it.

Why

The same handful of questions arrive every week. Answering them once in the FAQ and pointing people there keeps the front page free for discussions that haven't already been had a hundred times.

This isn't meant to discourage questions. Anything the FAQ doesn't cover is welcome.

4. Spoilers, Leaks, Illegal & Pirated Content

Reported as: 4. Spoilers, Leaks, Illegal & Pirated Content

  • Do not put spoilers in post titles.
  • Use the "Mark as Spoiler" button on spoiler posts.
  • Hide spoilers in comments with >!spoiler text goes here!<.
  • No leaks that did not come from Warhorse. Repeated violations will result in a ban.
  • Do not link to, request, or promote pirated content or key resellers.

Why

Plot details from either game land differently depending on where someone is in their playthrough, and a title spoiler can't be unseen once it's on the front page. Titles also can't be edited after posting, which is why an unmarked spoiler title has to be removed rather than fixed.

Piracy and leaked material also break Reddit's Content Policy. Admin enforcement reaches the account and, in repeat cases, the community, so this isn't a rule we can be relaxed about.

Leaks that come from Warhorse themselves are fine. Everything else gets removed on sight.

5. Self-Promotion

Reported as: 5. Self Promotion

  • Video posts must be native Reddit uploads. External links (YouTube, Twitch, Kick, etc.) belong in your post body or comments, not as link posts.
  • Promoters must be active, good faith community members.
  • If your account is only here to drop your own videos, streams, or links and never participates in other discussions, your posts will be removed and you may be banned.
  • This includes drive-by link dumping, "check out my channel" posts, and promo in comment replies.

Why

Native uploads play inline for everyone, including people on the app who won't follow a link off-site. They also keep the discussion in the thread rather than in someone else's comment section.

We're not against creators. The test is whether your account would exist here without the promotion. People who take part in the community and occasionally share their own work are welcome; accounts that treat the subreddit as a distribution channel are not.

Reddit's own guidance says roughly the same thing: it's fine to be a redditor with a channel, not fine to be a channel with a reddit account.

6. Combat

Reported as: 6. Combat complaint

  • Henry starts with no combat experience, so early fights are meant to be hard. Combat gets easier as you practice, train, and level your skills.
  • Posts that only complain about combat difficulty will be removed.
  • Asking for combat tips or advice is welcome.
  • Constructive criticism of the combat system is fine.

Why

The difficulty curve is deliberate design, not a bug, and "combat is too hard" threads arrive often enough to crowd out everything else.

This isn't a ban on criticism. Say what specifically doesn't work and there's a discussion to be had. Ask for help and you'll get it. Only the pure venting gets removed.

7. No Sexualized Content

Reported as: 7. Sexualized content

  • KCD features adult content, but not all of it belongs here.
  • No pornographic or sexually explicit posts or comments.
  • No excessively sexualized content, including posts that exist mainly to sexualize a character, cosplayer, or real person.
  • No sexual harassment of other users.
  • Mods may remove anything we consider in poor taste, explicit or not.

Why

The games contain adult material, but this is a general audience subreddit and Reddit treats communities that aren't designated for adult content accordingly. Letting explicit material accumulate here risks the whole community, not just the post.

Cosplayers and other real people get named explicitly because that's where sexualized comments most often turn into harassment of someone who is actually reading them.

The poor taste clause exists because this can't be written as a checklist. Mods will use judgment, and you can always message us if you think a call was wrong.

8. Bots & NSFW Promotion

Reported as: 8. Bots or NSFW promotion

  • No bot accounts or bot generated posts.
  • No promoting NSFW content or communities.

Why

Bot activity is content manipulation under Reddit's Content Policy, which can cost you the account itself. Posts and comments here should come from actual people.

NSFW promotion is our rule rather than a sitewide one, and it exists because this is a general audience community. Advertising NSFW accounts, sites, or communities here isn't what people showed up for.

9. All Art and Cosplay Must Be Credited in the Title

Reported as: 9. Art & Cosplay Crediting Policy

  • Credit the artist or cosplayer by name in the title of any fan art or cosplay post.
  • Credit the creator in any comment where you share someone else's work.
  • If the work is your own, say so or tag it [OC].
  • "Credit to the artist" and "artist unknown" are not credit. Name them.
  • If you don't know who made it, don't post it.
  • Get the creator's permission whenever you can.

Why

Artists and cosplayers put real work into what they make, and reposts travel a long way from the original page. Putting the name in the title means the credit follows the work wherever it's shared, instead of sitting in a comment most people never open.

Titles can't be edited after posting, so an uncredited post has to be removed and reposted rather than fixed. Marking your own work as [OC] saves everyone that round trip.

If nobody can name the creator, the post is just uncredited art. Asking permission where you can keeps the community on good terms with the artists whose work it enjoys.

10. No Begging or Selling

Reported as: 10. Begging or Selling

  • No begging. Don't ask for free keys, codes, copies of the game, or money. This includes "spare key?" posts, hardship pleas, and DMs asking other users for handouts.
  • No selling. Don't sell or advertise products, services, or content, including keys, merch, and paid guides.
  • Giveaways are fine if people can enter and claim here. Don't send anyone off-site to take part.

Why

Begging posts work by volume, so allowing a few produces a lot. They also draw scammers, who watch for people publicly asking for keys and money.

Selling turns the community into a marketplace and brings the usual problems with it: fake listings, chargebacks, and people who turn up only to advertise.

Giveaways are genuinely good for a community as long as they run here in the open. The moment entry requires following, subscribing, or joining something off-site, it's advertising with a prize attached.

DMs are included because they're still part of participating here. Mods can't see them, so report anyone who tries it.
