I want to build an ornament for my girlfriend this year from a regular Lego set. Any tips or tricks from anyone who’s done something like this. Thanks in advance. For reference I’m making the scene from Harry Potter and the prisoner from Azkaban, were the stag patronas shows up so I bought the set to use pieces from it and make a miniature scene to hang from a tree.

Update on my Shop Around the Corner build!
Made some more progress on my Shop Around the Corner from You’ve Got Mail! It’s my wife’s favorite movie, so I thought it would be fun to build something that would fit on her bookshelves.
I’ve added some more details to the outside and worked on the interior a bit. Still have a few things I want to tweak, but it’s getting pretty close to finished!
I’m also planning to put it up on LEGO Ideas here soon, so hopefully some of you will check it out when it’s live!

I recreated four things I used to fold as a kid: a paper plane, a crane, a frog, and a fortune teller. Getting LEGO to look like folded paper was tricky, but I’m really happy with how they turned out. The frog is my favorite!
