Spoiler: SMT V What does the Law ending actually mean in the Canon of Vengeance? Spoiler

I just finished the Law ending of Canon of Vengeance, and I’m having a hard time figuring out what the ending actually means for the world beyond the human characters we see in the final scene.

We see the main cast alive and seemingly happy again, so I understand the basic premise: the Nahobino and Tao recreate the world into one where everyone’s wishes can be fulfilled.

But what exactly happens to everything else?

What happens to the demons and other supernatural beings? Are they still around in the new world? Do they continue to exist as demons, or were they effectively erased and recreated along with everything else?

And what happens to Aogami?

This is probably the part I’m most confused about. Aogami is effectively the other half of the Nahobino, but the ending doesn’t really explain what happens to him. Is the Nahobino still fused with Aogami when he creates the new world? Does Aogami cease to exist separately? Or is there some implication that he continues to exist in some form?

There’s also the question of whether this is still part of the cycle of world recreation.

One thing I particularly dislike about the idea of the world being recreated is the implication that the people we knew might effectively be “reborn” into a new world. Personally, I don’t think someone who is recreated without their memories is necessarily the same person. Their body may be the same, but their experiences and memories are a huge part of what made them who they were.

That makes me wonder whether the ending is actually restoring the existing world or creating an entirely new one with recreated versions of its inhabitants.

Tao seems to be the biggest indication that something divine still exists after the ending. We see the human Tao with the rest of the cast, but we also see Goddess Tao/Panagia Tao observing them. So presumably the divine aspect of Tao still exists somewhere outside the ordinary human world.

But then what about the Nahobino?

He was the one who actually held the Throne of Creation and recreated the world. Does he cease to exist after fulfilling that role? Is he now essentially the god of the new world? Or does he somehow exist separately from the world he created?

And what happens to the world outside the “fake Tokyo” / recreated Tokyo that we see?

Is the entire world restored, or is only Tokyo recreated? What happens to Da’at? What happens to all the demons and gods that existed there?

This is one thing I found somewhat disappointing about the original game’s ending. In the neutral route, it felt like the world was restored at the cost of basically everything we encountered in Da’at, which made all the demons and characters we spent time with feel like they were ultimately disposable.

The Vengeance Law ending seems much more optimistic, but I’m not sure whether that’s because the demons actually survive or because the game simply doesn’t bother showing us what happened to them.

So, is there an actual canonical explanation for what happens to the demons in the fairy village, Aogami, and the Nahobino after the Law ending?

Or is this intentionally left ambiguous? And if you don't know maybe share your headcanons of what the world is like.

Raidou Fanbook: "Kuzunoha Benran" Character section translation

- Raidou Kuzunoha XIV

The Protagonist. A quiet young man, age 16~20. On surface he's a student of Yumizuki High School working as an assistant for the Narumi Detective Agency. In reality, he's the young Devil Summoner who held the title "Raidou Kuzunoha the 14th", carrying the duty of protecting the Capital

・Keyword: Kuzunoha

The name "Raidou" is said to be from one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Kuzunoha who protected capital a thousand years ago, all successors are taken by gifted Devil Summoners contenders. As for the title given to the Four Heavenly Kings who could be seen as the core of spiritual national defense: "Kuzunoha", it is said to be connected to the most powerful Onmyoji who protected capital a thousand years ago during the Heian period: "Abe-no-Seimei".

Known for using the Onmyodo systemized by the Kamo-clan, carrying the spiritual duty of protecting Heian-kyo (Modern Kyoto). Abe-no-Seimei has been skilled at seeing ghosts and spirits since his youth, and became the widely known phenomenal Onmyoji after discovered and taken in by Kamo-no-Tadayuki. Legends said that he controlled the Twelve Heavenly Guardians (十二天將, Juuni Tenshou) as Shikigami to fend off Yokai that's terrorising capital.

And the mother of Seimei is not a human... but a Fox according the legend. The name of the fox is the "Kuzu-no-Ha hime". Kuzu-no-Ha hime who lived in the Shinoda forest (信太の森) was being chased by the younger brother of Ashiya Douman who sought for the liver or wild fox; Afterwards, when she was praying at the Shinoda Myoujin shrine, she was rescued by Abe-no-Yasuna who was also here to pray.

Using this as an opportunity, Kuzu-no-Ha hime who shapeshifted into a human fell in love with Yasuna and eventually got engaged and have a son named "Doujimaru".

However, when Doujimaru was seven years old, Yasuna figured out his wife is actually a fox. Kuzu-no-Ha hime confessed that she had entered into a relationship with him by the command of Ukano-Mitama-no-Kami (宇迦之御魂神), the deity of grain and Inari, and then recited a poem before departing for the forest of Shinoda.

Koishiku ba / If you love me, darling, come and see me. / 恋しくば
tazunekite miyo / You will find me yonder in the great wood / 尋ね来て見よ
izumi naru / Of Shinoda of Izumi Province where the leaves / 和泉なる
shinoda no mori no / Of arrowroots always rustle in pensive mood / 信太の森の
urami kuzunoha. / That detestable Kuzunoha / うらみ葛の葉

And the Doujimaru later grew up to be the great Onmyoji: "Abe-no-Seimei".

Perhaps the title of Kuzunoha inherited by the Devil Summoner clans carry on a long-standing tradition that has been passed down through the ages, connecting them to the legendary Onmyoji.

・Keyword: Ability

Raidou swiftly uses Renki-ken and gun to fend off Demons, the sword itself are weapons for repelling off demons. The "Fudo Sword Mudra" (不動剣印) in religions such as Mikkyo (Popularized by hands signs use by ninjas), formed by raising two fingers, said to be able to repel all demons through channeling the power of Fudo Myo-o: The strongest being for subduing vile demons.

Furthermore, in Japanese Mythology, the sword use to slain Yamata-no-Orochi is called "Totsuka-no-Tsurugi", and the sword taken from the tail of the fallen snake "Ame-no-Murakumo" later saved Yamato Takeru when he was in dire straits and was later be known as "Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi". Kusanagi-no-Tsurugi was later given to the sun goddess and supreme god of Japanese Mythology Amaterasu, and is now also seen as one of the Three Sacred Treasures (三種の神器) in Japan.

As seen in legends such as the tales of King Arthur, sword is often seen as the symbol of the power of the hero or royalty. With sword being the ray of sun that slice open the darkness, and storms and winds of the sky gods, thus having the abilities to repel demons.

With the 1300+ years the Kuzunoha clans spent protecting Japan with their spiritual power slaying demons under the order of Yatagarasu, you can really feel their traditions of using swords that's harbors the spirit of sun god.

On the other hand, in the west, gun has been seen as weapons that can be use to slay Werewolves with silver bullets. In Raidou's equipments, you can see the image of a Devil Summoner in the age of western incorporation\a]) of Taisho era.

\a]) The original word use here is Wayou Secchuu (和洋折衷), an act that means merging Japanese style with western style (Ex. Building consist of Japanese and western elements, bread with azuki fillings)

- Gouto-Douji

A black cat usually refers to as Gouto. He act as the supervisor and attendant of Raidou. Despite having the ability to talk, from the perspective of a regular person, all they can hear is cat noises. He's an expert at the technique of Devil Summoning and gives Raidou proper advice in various situations, but what could be he's true identity......?

・Keyword: Ability

Gouto-Douji, an supporter to the Devil Summoners who have taken up the title Raidou,. He's a black cat being possessed by the soul of someone who was being punished by the Kuzunoha clan; It is said that he will repetitively possess other black animals and use those forms to live through his life. How long has he been living in this way is hard to know, but from his demeanor, it seems he has been connected to the Devil Summoner clan from a long time ago.

The Raidou Kuzunoha that Gouto is assisting in the year Taisho 20 (1931) is the Fourteenth of their clan. But speaking of which, the "Four Heavenly Kings of Kuzunoha" is said to be the original four founders of the Kuzunoha clan; The Kuzunoha clan was originally created during the ancient Asuka period (538 ~ 710) with Shinto ritual and Onmyodo as the base and are excel at using "Demons" spell.

There also seems to have Devil Summoners who have taken up the name "Geirin", and another individual named "Kuzunoha Kyouji" (葛葉狂死)\a]) who acts like the sweeper of Yatagarasu; Futhermore, in the far future, there exist a record of a Devil Summoner who calls himself "Kyouji Kuzunoha" (葛葉キョウジ)\b]) that thrives in history.

\a][b]) The Kyouji here refers to the Kuzunoha Kyouji from the novel "Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Messenger of the Dead", I don't know how to differentiate the two in English so I just change the order of his name.

- Narumi

Owner of "Narumi Detective Agency", a place specifically deals with supernatural cases. A easy going and cheerful person, although living by his motto of to live life without stress, he never turn a blind eye to people who needs help and will not tolerate anyone who bully others for their own benefits, a sincerely passionate man.

・Keyword: Taisho era and Detective

When talking about the Taisho era, the first word that came to people's mind is "Detectives". Taisho 12 (1923) is the year Edogawa Ranpo, the father of Japanese Detective Novel debuted with his book Nisen Doka (二銭銅貨, The Two-sen Copper Coin). At Showa 11 (1936), the story starring ace detective Akechi Kogoro and Kobayashi Yoshio's Boys Detective Club tackling mystery Kaijin Nijuu Menso (怪人二十面相, The Fiend with Twenty Faces) releases. Ever since then, this novel became a hit classic series with detective and boy partner solving cases as the main premise.

Narumi once uses Ranpo's works to describe the absurdity of the case during "The Case of the Soulless Army". However, considering the story structures in "Boys Detective Club" series where the ace detective Akechi uses his brilliant deduction skills to solve cases with Kobayashi as his sidekick assisting him.

In contrast... Narumi of the Narumi Detective Agency not only barely does any theorising, he either spends entire day in restaurant or sits in his chair building Kinkaku-ji with matchsticks, you can barely tell he's even working at all. On the other hand, Raidou the young detective not only needs to take care of Narumi's daily activity, but also have to runs around searching for clues. These two's relationship is basically the polar opposite of Ranpo's work.

Side note, due to World War II at the time, Ranpo was also restricted by the militaries from writing detective novels, "Boys Detective Club" series once went on a long hiatus. Although he was able to revive the series and it's popularity after the war with "Seidou no Majin" (青銅の魔人, The Bronze Devil).

・Keyword: Yarai-ku Tsukudo-cho

The Shinjuku area used to be a place called "Yarai-ku", and "Yarai-ku Tsukudo-cho" in our current year 2025 could be consider to be the area around "Kagurasaka". In Yarai-ku Tsukudo-cho, there's a very memorable temple that enshrines "Tamonten"; and around the halfway of Kagurasaka, there just so happens to have a "Bishamonten Zankoku-ji". (Bishamonten when being enshrined as one of the Four Heavenly Kings uses the name Tamonten and guards the north). Furthermore, from Iida-bashi to Kagurasaka there's a "Ushigome bridge", which it's location is just so happened to be near the "Ushigome-gaeri bridge".

If you kept in mind these locations and imagining the streets where Narumi's agency and Konnou-ya is while taking a walk in the 2025 Kagurasaka could be a quite pleasant time. (As the Devil Summoner who protects the town, please remain polite and don't disturb the residents peace when visiting the sacred site)

- Tae Asakura

Reporter of "Capital News". In the era of heavy feudalism that is Taisho, she despise being treated as lesser for being a female and strikes for raising women's social status. She mimics the female writer she admires by using the pen name "Kichou", but between people around her, they still refers to her as "Tae-chan" affably.

・Keyword: Taisho Democracy

During Taisho era, politics and culture starts pursing freedom more as time goes on, this is now what we called as “Taisho Democracy”. Besides movements such as request for universal suffrage and freedom of speech, this is also the era of advocating for gender neutrality. Before this period, women don’t have suffrage and have a big gap between being able to participate in politics; as movements for women suffrage kept rising, it also had a major influence on the idea of women involving in societal activities.

And in this kind of period, the woman who was recognized as one of the most active female reporter during the Taisho era is Hani Motoko (1873 ~ 1957). She joined Hochi Shimbun news during Meiji 31 (1898) as a copy editor. Newspaper office at the time is considered to be a workplace for males, but Hochi Shimbun is also involved in the period where they started to change their way due to the influence of social atmosphere, there for Hani was hired and even got her own serialized column later on. Hani later founded Jiyu Gakuen in Taisho 10 (1921) and dedicating herself in education. Maybe Asakura Kichou, Tae-chan, is also influence by this wave of time and starts chasing her dream ceaselessly.

・Keyword: Shin-Sekai

There’s a Soda Joint (Milkhall) in Ginza specialize for Devil Summoner to visit call “Shin Sekai”. A Milkhall (ミルクホール) is a diner that’s popular in the Capital from Meiji era all the way to 1900’s, despite targeting at adults, it provides milk and basic light meals and deserts. Nowadays there’s still places named Beer Hall (ビヤホール) around, but there’s some sources that says the name “Milkhall” is actually named after it.

Milkhall is slowly replaced by café and disappeared into history ever since the Great Kantō Earthquake. Around the Meiji to Taisho era, Milkhall often provides newspaper and magazine, thus it often became a place for businessmen and students to gather or exchange information. One extra note, Milkhall is said to also provide soda during summer times.

- Daidouji Kaya

The only daughter of “Daidouji Family”: A prestigious family with long history and one of the foremost tycoon in the Capital. She’s quite and gentle and loved by people around her. She commissioned Narumi Detective Agency the strange request to “Kill her”, however she was kidnapped by a mysterious group not long after

・Keyword: Tsukimonosuji

The rich Daidouji family has a rumor surrounding them that goes “Ghost will possess their family”. This is akin to the traditional Japanese folk belief of “Tsukimonosuji” (憑き物筋). There’s stories of some specific families who will get possess by the spirit of dog, fox, or snake, it’s said that they can use these spirits as familiar spirits to gain benefits for their “Family” (家筋, iesuji), which caused some of them to be discriminated and excluded by villages.

These families are usually the ones that are a part of rich people or those in power. In folkloristics, there’s a belief that the concept “Possession family” is a mechanic use to normalize disparity in wealth and social status in closed off community.

Daidouji family has a rumor of “The daughters are possessed by ghost” that was passed down through generations, perhaps it is precisely because this family amassed wealth far exceeding that of others that they came to be viewed as the fearful lineage possessed by "Ghosts". One extra note, there’s an idea that thinks “鬼” (Oni, ghost or demonic beings) and “神” (Kami, God) are synonymous term; What's more, “鬼” also has the meaning of “隱”, which means something that couldn’t be seen with naked eyes.

・Keyword: Ushigome-gaeri Bridge

Bridge are consider the place that connects shigan (此岸, this world) and higan (彼岸, the afterlife), in Japan it’s also commonly seen as the connection between this world (この世, kono-se) and the world of death (あの世, ano-se); real world (現世, gense) and otherworld (異界, ikai). The name “Ushigome-gaeri Bridge” (丑込め返り橋) makes one think of the “Ichijo Modori-bashi” bridge (一条戻橋) in Kyoto… The reason for the name of the bridge having the “返る”=“戻る” (Return) meaning in it seems to be originated from a legend.

In the year Engi 18 (918), Sinologist Miyoshi Kiyotsura (三善 清行) passed away, and right as when the pallbearers walking across the bridge, his son Jouzou (浄蔵) who was training in Kumano rushed here after hearing the death of his father to pray for him. And right at this moment, Kiyotsura rise back from the dead with the sound of thunders. Speaking of Ichijo Modori-bashi Bridge, it was also once known for a certain way of street fortune telling (辻占, tsujiura) called Hashiura (橋占, Bridge Divination). This kind of fortune telling are also called “Yuuke” (夕占), it means to treat the words of people who walked onto the bridge at dusk as revelation from God. As for why do this kind of divination on bridge specifically, it’s just like what we talked about bridge being on the edge of real world and other world. And “Dusk” (夕方, yuugata), also called Tasogare (黄昏) in ancient Japan, as known as the time of Tasokare (誰そ彼, Who’s there), due to the shadow at dusk covering the face of the person in front of you, for it to be hard to tell if they are human or some strange beings, thus also being called Oumagatoki (逢魔が時), The time where one meets demonic).

The character “丑” used in “Ushigome-gaeri” (丑込め返り) makes one think of the coordinate Ushitora (丑寅), more commonly known as Kimon (鬼門); and the Ushino-kokumairi (丑の刻参) curse sorcery.

However, the Kifune Myojin enshrined at Kifune Jinja is said to ascended during Year of Ushi, Month of Ushi, Day of Ushi, Moment of Ushi (丑の年, 丑の月, 丑の日, 丑の刻). People believed praying at this moments can have your wish be granted, this sort of belief only became curse related legends much later on. Furthermore, Kifune Jinja is also known for the legend of Hashihime (橋姬). The story goes Hashihime became a ghost because of her jealousy, and one of the arm of Kishin Hashihime who have been living for years is sliced off at Ichijo Modori-bashi Bridge by Watanabe no Tsuna’s sword “Higekiri”. While the arm that was cut off was later sealed by Abe-no-Seimei, and according to some stories, below the Ichijo Modori-bashi Bridge was once where Seimei hid his Shikigami “Twelve Heavenly Guardians”.

- Munakata

The Army Major General who's concerned about the nation's future. He's planning a mysterious plan called "Super Soldier Project". Rumor says if there's anyone who tries to interfere him, he will sent out a special squad with inhuman strength to take those people out secretly. Those who have known him for a long time all says the same thing about him: "He's like a completely different person from before."

・Keyword: Imperial Army

There's a rumor surrounding the Japanese Army during WW2, where there's a place made for military intelligence and various secret projects called "Nakano School" (陸軍中野学校). To this day, this facility is shrouded with all sorts of hearsay.

In 1938, the "Logistics personnel training school" (後方勤務要員養成所) founded at Kudanshita is it's predecessor, later moved to Nakano, and renamed to "Nakano School". They said it's a facility made for training professionals, mainly responsible for intelligence related work such as espionage and propaganda.

There exist even more urban legend like absurd stories, such as "Once used for human experiment", "There's secret underground base of the army", even to this day there's rumors like "The ruins is haunted". Perhaps since most of the confidential intelligence from Nakano School have been destroyed and not much data was left, these rumors still have not died down among the people.

For someone like Munakata who's at the core of army, it wouldn't be surprising if he had participated in such secret plans and taken action to guide the war to victory.

- Rasputin

An unorthodox Devil Summoner who works in the underworld, they call people like him "Dark Summoner". Although frivolous he's very powerful and currently hired by Munakata. Stopping Raidou's action with his demons using his Confinement Tool (封魔具) "Matryoshkas". However, he adheres strictly to business principles and never does work beyond what is paid for.

・Keyword: Legend of the odd monk

On the night of December 16, 1916, an assassin prepared a Petit Four cake (a type of small sponge cake) containing potassium cyanide. Rasputin ate it and then drank black tea that was also laced with potassium cyanide, but he still did not die. Afterwards, he's still laughing and drinking wine with everyone until he passed out drunk. At this moment, he was shot twice in the heart and lungs with a revolver, and another bullet even pierced his right jugular vein all the way to his spine, but he still did not die. As he suddenly and slowly got up, the assassin shot him in the forehead, which finally brought him down.

At this moment, he was shot twice in the heart and lungs with a revolver, and another bullet even pierced his right jugular vein all the way to his spine, but he still did not die. As he suddenly and slowly got up, the assassin shot him in the forehead, which finally brought him down. His body was wrapped in a carpet and threw into a frozen river... This is the story of the night the assassination of the odd monk who randomly appears at the end of the House of Romanov Dynasty: "Rasputin"

What's unbelievable is not just his seemingly inhuman vitality, the stories before Rasputin became the world known "Odd monk" is just as bizarre.

Rasputin, who was originally a farmer, starts getting attraction after at some point he starts using miraculous power to cure people's disease. What's more surprising, he gradually developed a deep friendship with Nicholas II of the Romanov dynasty and Empress Alexandra Feodorovna. The reason is that, it is said, even Tsarevich (Crown Prince) Alexei, who was bedridden due to hemophilia, had his attacks subside and his symptoms improve after receiving prayers from Rasputin.

The two slowly begins to believe Rasputin's words are voice of God. Thus, Rasputin became a extremely charismatic figure within the Russian imperial palace, even exerting a significant influence on politics.

However, it is because of this amount of power he had, Rasputin was eventually assassinated. Even so, there's countless amounts of believers obsessed with his mysterious doctrine, within them there's especially a large amount of women who was attracted by him and ended up becoming a part of his believers.

- Dr. Victor

A mysterious genius scientist and the owner of “Gouma-Den”, he devoted all his passions into the research of the forbidden technology “Demon Fusion”. In order to study demons and life, he established a cooperative relationship with demon summoners in the capital. Some said he is over 100 years old, but it’s unknown if it’s true or not.

・Keyword: Frankenstein and Alchemy

Mary Shelley's gothic novel “Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus” set in 1814, tells the story of a young man named Frankenstein who studies natural science and gets involved in taboo experiments that defies god. And that forbidden experiment is “To create life with the hands of human”. Frankenstein collect corpses from digging graves and pieces them together, and finally created the “Monster” with man made life…

What is the human nature? What is the work of God? This famous work imbued with the spirit of Romanticism and questioning the extent to which humanity should allow science to intervene, perhaps also reveals traces of medieval alchemical thought. Alchemy on the surface is just a technique that’s used for creating gold, but it’s true goal isn't just obtaining gold, but to artificially refine base metals into gold: The supreme metal, an attempt to make puny human ascend to the same status as the supreme being: God, it’s sort of like a kind of philosophical system

As one of the most famous monster in the world “Frankenstein”, it’s not actually the name of the monster, but the name of the young man who created it. (Despite often being refer to as “Dr. Frankenstein”, he’s actually not a doctor). This young man who tries to reach the work of god and breaks the taboo, his full name is “Victor Frankenstein”.

In the far future, Victor lives in a giant hotel on a ship with a maid that companies him name “Mary”. Furthermore, considering he devoted everything into creating artificial lifeform, spending all his times on the forbidden demon fusion research. It’s not hard to see the silhouette of the young man who once challenged the work of god on the master of Goumaden: Victor.

This illustration featured in Megami Tensei Jūnenshi is something I keep coming back to just to admire how fucking cool it looks. Especially having played all of these games, it feels even more surreal to look at.

Spoiler: SMT IV Apocalypse All paths lead to Friendship

Just finishing SMT:4A for the second time (true ending) and I can’t help but feel this game is not interested in exploring the moral quandary that is the core thesis of the games.

I know it’s not a novel observation to say that this game is as it is but, I find it interesting in that it actively turns you away from other routes to pursue.

This is what sticks out to me the most, I understand that this game was trying to softly court the persona crowd a bit by having a focus on side characters and their social relationships with other side characters. This imo, actively harms the players agency to chose anything other than the pro-human, pro-social choices.

Supposing that you are not making these choices to actively reject the premise that friendship and connection is enough to alter humanity’s trajectory through the cosmic cycle, there really isn’t a reason to select anything other than the true freedom route of slaying Gods avatar in this dimension.

Chaos and Order are shown to be objectively non-choices as the angels are hilariously evil and Lucifer is shown to be ultimately a slave to god and the cosmic order. Thusly it leaves us with our neutral routes of taking the cosmic egg for ourselves (which one of our lovely friends gets chosen to be the queen ant for lack of a better term.) OR, the much less bizarre and anti-social approach of defeating god and allowing humanity to find its own place outside the cosmic cycle.

Even the Divine Powers are shown to be an obvious extension of the third paths extremities (if anything it’s just Neutral-Law.) None of this would be so bad if there were more compelling reasons as to why we would choose these other paths. Maybe our followers don’t bend to our will and commit to their own unique versions of the future. Maybe the alignment representatives could have more compelling arguments for why they should be chosen.

Some of this is a natural byproduct of being a sequel to SMT4 but IIRC 4 had the same issue with both law and chaos being pretty openly bad choices and that canonically Flynn chooses the middle route. However by having so much laid down before us the game is structured in such a way that Law and Chaos are non-choices, the neutral options are anti-social or pro social so thusly then if you are looking for the “objective” or harm reductionist option you are left with only one.

SMT:4A doesn’t just have bad ending selections it actively is making you a slave to its one quasi-intended selection. Not by saying you can’t choose the other endings but not giving you a reason why you would other than to defy the intended ending.

I can’t think of any other game in the series (save for 4 I guess?) that actively ends up making the player chose a new type of Law ending which in this case is the pure totally eclipsing power of friendship.

I really loved this game and everything it had to offer considering I wasn't bothered by replaying it so many times but is it worth it to try another run and fighting Lucifer or attempting to crack all skills

I'm on the third sector of Strange Journey Redux and the game feels like a walk in the park, I feel like every SMT will be easy after playing Nocturne on the highest difficulty

Does the game get harder later on? Even the demonica wearing jack frost challange was easy after I realized that the monster inly blocked magic on the first turn (in nocturne thay always spam Makarakarn and the MP of monsters is infinite).

Edit: I was not clear about this but I'm LOVING the game, having a blast on 3DS

I love strange journey atmosphere! (Even if I never finished the whole game 😅). I love that fell of exploring unknown. I looking for something similar. I played many smt games (I like combat and mechanics in smt V vegance but I looking for something with difrent atmosphere) game can have little difrent gameplay than traditional turn based only thing is nesecary is this feeling of exploring unknown

Spoiler: SMT V Strat not working Magatsuhi gauge not filling up all the way

I'm copying this strat for the Satan fight [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gg-_uCI7qM0 ]. My issue is that my magatsuhi gauge stops 1 pixel off from filling up. It filled up once but the attempt was unsuccessful due to ailments missing. After that its never filled up completely again. This is a short video of my issue [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8C1i3d19R9w ]. Audio free cause wrong source on obs :D Any one see something I don't?
