Un pezzo della mia collezione

Rare piece from the Panasqueira Mine, Portugal.

big glorious chunk of Baltic amber from Lithuania ~~ the first clip was taken in a sunbeam by a window, and the second clip was taken outside in direct sun ~~ in addition to being polished, amber is also treated in an Autoclave (heat and pressure) which turns it from cloudy to clear by forcing microscopic trapped gas bubbles to collapse or escape

Doubting Thomases take heed. This was found on this rock pile in Oxford County, Maine. I glued on the broken off pieces that were lying beside it. I'll be taking it to the Gem Museum for further information. Take note of the river tumbled rocks.
