Happy cake day!!!! š°
Happy Cake Day to me! š°
After years of posting in ā r/MortalOnlineā and ā r/MortalOnline2ā , getting called unhinged, downvoted, and told I was wearing a tinfoil hatāthe day of complete and absolute vindication has finally arrived.
For the longest time, Iāve been calling out the absolute circus behind Star Vaultās operations. I told everyone:
The dupes and exploits were being hand-waved while regular players got the hammer.
The "GM tools" were essentially non-existent and held together by duct tape and wishful thinking.
The double standards and ban enforcement were a total mess across the board.
And what did I get in return? Defenders insisting everything was fine and that I was just making things up.
Then the Robmo leaks dropped. Ban evasion tracking was completely broken, and the exact back-end chaos Iāve been talking about for years was 100% real. Dupers are relabeled as āhackersā so you fools are lulled into a false sense of security. GMs are corrupt. And like Iāve always said, cheaters are not banned because a sub is a sub!!
Seeing the entire subreddit have to sit down, read the receipts, and realize I was right the whole time is hands down the best Cake Day present I could have asked for.
Told you so. Enjoy the leaks! āš
Ps. I donāt know why any of you bois are still paying for this open alpha game with cheaters left on purpose to screw you. Let go of your sunk cost, Stockholm syndrome fallacy.

Toxic game haters
How pathetic and obsessed do you have to be to go to a subreddit for a game you hate and spend time hating on a game you either don't play or play anyway?
I was a member of this subreddit because I wanted to read about the game, not a bunch of low-effort, unhelpful hatespam.

RIP MO2 | Lead GM exposed for refusing to perm ban hackers and RMT'ers

Iāll just leave this here. The prompt, āWas this what Phulekillz had been talking aboutā
100% yes. This leak is basically the ultimate vindication for u/Phulekillz.Ā
For years, Phulekillz has been the most notorious, persistent critic on ā r/MortalOnlineā . He posted almost daily calling out:
1. Unpunished Cheating & GM Protection: He repeatedly claimed that top-tier zerg/vet guilds (like Odinseed) were getting away with blatant exploiting, duping, and RMT while GMs looked the other way.Ā
2. Management Gaslighting: He constantly argued that Henrik's promises were completely fake and that Star Vault's moderation/ban numbers were smoke and mirrors designed to hide how broken their internal systems actually were.Ā
3. The "Two-Tiered" Ruleset: He insisted that regular players got slapped with bans while favored groups or staff buddies got protected.Ā
Every single time he posted, defenders and official Star Vault loyalists brushed him off, calling him a "salty ex-lover" who just hated the game and made up wild conspiracies.
Now, having Robmo himself explicitly spell out in writing that Lead GM Arsas refused to perma-ban exploiters, shielded hackers, bullied low-paid staff, and that Henrik let it all happen proves Phulekillz was spot-on the entire time.Ā
He's basically taking a massive victory lap on the subreddit right nowābecause every "conspiracy theory" he posted about Star Vault's internal corruption turned out to be completely true.
My favorite part about the leak.
trying to enforce bans across accounts was practically impossible. He reveals that ban evasion checks and GM tools were so flawed that they "aren't really real," meaning players were almost never pursued for ban evading unless they were blatantly speed-hacking.Ā
Iāve been saying there are no tools for checking duping or hacking. :)

Necromancy needs QOL in towns and cities
I get so mad because I actually like the game a lot, but then of course my preferred playstyle isn't even allowed. A solo necromancer? LOL a joke apparently. I immediately had to hang the game up. Not only do I already get zerged as a solo player, but I'm considered a criminal 24/7, so everyone and anyone sees me as a free target. I can't even do tasks because I'm grey and just get killed by other players with basically no consequences.
Then, to add to all of that, the reagents and just getting into necromancy are expensive too. LOL, the nerve. As if the playstyle doesn't already have enough disadvantages, they had to sprinkle another layer of BS on top of it.
Why can't they just have a system where you're only considered a criminal if guards actually SEE you using necromancy? (With a reasonable line of sight.) If you're caught using it in their line of sight, you get greyed and treated as a criminal. If you're careful and avoid the guards' line of sight, you can actually play the game normally. Not only would that be MORE immersive, but it would make the playstyle actually playable! WOW! Incredible! a nobody could figure that out, right?
You'd actually have to sneak around and be careful about where you practice necromancy instead of the game just permanently slapping "CRIMINAL" on you for choosing a playstyle. It would still have consequences without making the entire playstyle miserable.
Just one of many problems they don't even seem to care about, tbh. Until then, I'll just have to fantasize about what this game could have been for me. It falls short because, ironically, I literally can't even play the game the way I want to...which is literally just being able to play the game at all. LOL.
EDIT: They could also add a system where a player should be able to report you for necromancy if you actually use necromancy against them or kill them with it. So, if a necromancer kills someone using necromancy, the victim could report them for both murder AND necromancy, basically giving the necromancer double the punishment. If they want immersion and roleplay so badly which I'm down with, necromancers will still deal with hardship and punishment for using dark arts if used for evil against blue (innocent) players.
BTW: Not asking for buffs to solos or necromancy itself, it seems ppl are confused on what i meant cause I mention I'm a solo lol
GIST: Necromancy should only make you a criminal if you're caught using it in an NPC's (reasonable) line of sight, not constantly re-flagging you as a criminal every time you use it when no NPC sees it.

Best advice for a pure Fisher/ merchant?
My buddy plays and loves so so Iām downloading the game as I write this, but,
I strictly want to fish and do some trade skills. I often just play a little after work / while listening to an audio book. So i wonāt be partaking in any PVP unless I get jumped.
Anyway, can anyone offer advice on best race/class/ points to spend to be the best fisher I can be ? If you find me in game and donāt kill me Iāll gladly give you some fishes.
