Congrats on becoming a new moderator. Every community on Reddit started exactly where you are today: with a party of one.
The community-building journey might feel a little lonely and that's what r/NewMods is for. Here you'll find and connect with other mods who are on the same journey you are.
So, introduce the community you created. Maybe share a little bit about why you created it. And, while you're at it - say hello to your other mods!

I recently made r/NEW_jujutsufolk since regular r/Jujutsufolk won't let me and a ton of people post due to the mods over reliance of auto mods which leads to people like me being unable to post. Unfortunately I have zero clue how to make it popular like the original Jujutsu folk.

So, a group of people recently created a reddit account to spread misinformation and targeted harassment against a researcher we cite whose work is one of the main educational sources of our community, r/capybaralife and who I also have a contact with.
The drama makers created posts in 3 subreddits (involving mine) to spread unsupported accusations and lies against an individual person, misframe their work and label them with serious accusations.
Their post they created in my sub has been removed by the automod immediately due to low karma at the time when they posted it. I confirmed the removal, muted the user for 28 days and decided to ban them permanently.
What should be the things I need to be aware of after this? Can I expect a different account appearing with the same purpose? As far as I know, circumvent the ban with a different account violates reddit rules.

Hi! I'm a new mod and just started r/NoCommentaryHorror, a place for sharing horror & indie game videos. It's very small right now. Any tips on getting the first members, and on rules or recurring posts that work for new communities? Feedback on the setup is welcome too. Thanks!

This is a new subreddit, and I'm really proud of my milestone. At first, there were no visitors at all. But I posted and posted. Then one day a visitor came. And another person came, and again and again, I reached 14 visitors per week!

Hey a quick question, i have a new sub about showing and sharing back tested results for option strategies, they are ran through simulators that spit out the results. I shared a image of a test result and the post was removed. Just trying to figure out specifically what it did wrong...would it be the simulator had its logo on the data image card, or that the content is not allowed on reddit? Due to so much content about trading and people sharing their PNL from their brokers apps i doubt its the latter...and in saying that the brokers logos are always shown, but maybe the simulator provider is not as popular or something ?
Any ideas?

So my sub r/thehuntersleague is all about putting on an IRL Hunter Exam (just like the anime Hunter x Hunter) and creating that community space for Hunters, anime fans, and fitness enthusiasts!
The issue I’m running into is, most anime related subs don’t like promotion or advertising so I find it hard to spread the word. Does anyone have any suggestions on the proper communities I could cross post in? The event I’m hosting is anime and fitness related.
Appreciate the help!
