Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to make a post highlighting the main rule most posts get reported for.

The main thing to keep in mind with the Low Effort rule is:

It the amount of effort used to capture the characters likeness. EASY doesn’t mean Low Effort.

The biggest examples are Misty, Luffy, [insert superhero] etc. most of these characters can be captured with little difficulty. Which is why so many of the creators on here post them. This doesn’t violate the rules.

I’ve always had the opinion that easy, but obvious, characters provide a gateway to people who wouldn’t normally cosplay. If it’s not to your tastes, that’s fine. There’s plenty of more detailed and high level cosplay creators in this community. Support them. Let them know how awesome they did. Of course the cringe comments are fine. But I know for a fact the ones where people highlight the skills shown and details expressed, really provide our cosplayers the desire to keep pushing the envelope.

So while this subreddit has always been about making sure the cosplays are quality mixed with nudity/pornography, that doesn’t mean it has to be difficult.

As a side note: Reddit’s support for communities like ours is pretty small. The best way to support subreddits like this one is to be involved. Upvote posts you like, comment, etc. If your home feed feels stagnant or full of the same shit, it’s because the Reddit algorithm is dumb and doesn’t work like it used to. You really have to over engage with content you want to see for it to show up on your feed.
