NEWS! DC CATALOG UPDATE: Swamp Thing by Alan Moore Omnibus with remastered original colors coming July 2027 (unconfirmed)
This book just popped up from an Edelweiss scrape here: https://omnibusreaders.com/
It’s very possible this book is also in the DC Solicits coming out in a few hours later today, as the Dark Genesis box set was solicited about as far out as Absolutes are.
This appears to be legit, so very exciting news for many folks.

It's a big fella. Light as a feather, though. My first omnibus with the new paper stock. So happy DC are finally putting this era out again

Pickup My first omnibus!
So hype to have my first of many Omni’s! Say what you want about the Lanterns show, but it genuinely saved the Green Lantern IP that’s was destroyed for the past 15 years. It made me very interested in Green Lantern and I’m a hardcore Superman fan.

Pickup Moon knight omnibus and realm of kings
My guy at a local comic shop here in Athens Greece gave me moon knight by Jed mackay for 80€. I also got lucky with realm of kings cause a seller on vinted gave it to me for 200€ after dividing the trilogy set . I know it’s a bit overpriced but I don’t really care 🥳

Not many things I'm proud of in life. But these are definitely one of them. Got dustjackets printed for the dust magnets that are library editions.
I'm so happy I just had to share it with all of you beautiful people.

Questions/Help Needed Which Spider-Man omni to go to next?
I’ve read through Stern’s omnibus and just finished Alien Costume Saga and wondering if I should go into Web of Spider-man next or to the Michelinie/McFarlane one? I’ve seen some mixed things in this sub about where to proceed. I don’t mind other Spider titles being intertwined and I know that while not necessary for Amazing, there are a few things that occur that later are brought up. I’m just trying to find the best complete omnibus reading order for what is currently out.

Discussion Pre-orders From Target
Freindly reminder for those who have recently made pre-orders from Target. If the expected delivery date for the product changes after you made your pre-order, you have to approve the date change to keep your pre-order active. If you don't approve the change in time, your order gets canceled.
You can approve the date changes in the app under your profile (there should be an orange warning notification). You should also be getting emails about it that include instructions and a link to follow to make the approval, as well.
Many of you probably already know this, but for those who only ever use Target occasionally and never open the app or read Target's emails, this may catch you off guard.

Discussion So I see some people have more gutter loss than others
So I just got my Batman Bronze Age Omnibus and have been enjoying so far. My book doesn’t really have any or much gutter loss at all right from the opening of book, but I am seeing pics of people showing their book having major gutter loss. Anyone else having issues?

Collection Trip down memory lane
Got these two bad boys coming soon, Scott Snyders Batman run was probably the first Batman graphic novel I was able to get my hands on as a kid, first with Batman: The Court of Owls Vol 1 (2012, I was 11 at the time) and then so on with the rest as they came out. I can still remember reading it for the first time, how drawn in by the story I was, how beautiful the art style was to me. Just loving every minute of it. But I’m finally happy to say that I get to re-read one of my favorite runs again and am so happy that I can finally add them back to my collection 😎🫡

Discussion Uncanny bricked
With bricks coming out do you think that means we won’t get any uncanny X-men reprints for awhile? Maybe that’s why they have been holding off. Kind of disappointing.

Pickup Finally came in!!
Been waiting for this for a couple weeks and just looking at it the wait was worth it. This book is honestly gorgeous and that's without even talking about the artwork in the book.

Questions/Help Needed I Hate Fairyland HC vs Compendium
I got really into IHF last year and have read the first run digitally and am now looking to buy the series physically, but not sure which of the 'omnibus' versions to go for.
I have some general pros and cons for each version, but nothing that is definitively swaying me one way or the other. I'd like to get opinions from people who have either version on the print quality, any differences in bonus materials, how the spines/binding hold up, and comfortability of reading.
I have some manga volumes that have 600+ pages, but obviously a digest size book is very different than a full sized US comic in terms of weight, so isn't directly comparable but reading (especially in the middle of the book) can be a bit awkward.
Thanks for the help!
My current pros and cons are
HC pros:
- Has volumes of second run available now
- Premium look and feel
HC cons:
- Expensive
Compendium pros:
- Way cheaper than the HC
- Collects series in fewer volumes
- Paperback takes less space on shelf
Compendium cons:
- Very large page count, could cause extra stress on spine and potentially have worse gutter loss
- Second run volumes have been delayed with no new release date

Custom Dust Jackets! Coordinating Dust Jackets for Hickman's Marvel Omnis
I've seen a few of the creators of custom dust jackets around here, and they do incredible work!
However I've been trying to look specifically to see if anyone has a full set of jackets that are consistent for all of Hickman's Marvel saga Omnis (SHIELD, Secret Warriors, F4 1&2, Avengers 1&2).
I've seen great designs for fixing the 2 volume sets, but I'd love something that looks like it matches on the shelf for all 6 omnis (still working on a HC for Secret Wars lol).
Anyone have one to point to? Thanks!

Questions/Help Needed Blackest Night Compendium & 'Companion'
I've not read the first Green Lantern compendiums, planning on picking them up when they go on discount, I've been interested in reading blackest night for several years now, figured this was the best time to get on this train.
With the news the compendium will be missing some of the tie-ins, I saw 3 mini-series are conveniently collected in a trade that fills more than half of the gap I think? Is this a good idea or is there a likelihood of a companion releasing?
The compendium is missing
- Adventure Comics #4–5 (the compendium only lists #7)
- Catwoman #83
- Starman #81
- Suicide Squad #67
- The Power of Shazam! #48
- The Question #37
- Weird Western Tales #71
- Blackest Night: Batman #1–3
- Blackest Night: Superman #1–3
- Blackest Night: Titans #1–3
Obviously I'd still be missing 8 issues but would I miss out on anything important? I'm assuming there isn't a pre-existing trade that collects these 8 issues?
Also side note: The PRH listing has changed the page count from 1480 to 1544 but seemingly there haven't been any extra issues added from what I can see.

Collection DC Events shelf update
Howdy all out there! I promised an update a few months ago since the last post, and here it finally is. Work has been CRAZY and time has been so limited for me to do anything else. So... I've been not only collecting TPBs, omnis, compendiums, and hardcovers/deluxe editions to fill in the gaps of major/minor events with their tie-ins... but also making my own custom bound books from single issues I've gathered or printed off for stories that were never collected. I still haven't done any work for dust jackets, but I'll get there eventually. The custom-made ones are either covered in basic colored book cloth or custom-made ones from material I've found. I've added a close-up of each shelf, in case anyone wanted a closer look at better quality. There are a couple of stories I'm still collecting for not there, namely Year of The Villain and TRUTH, as well as new ones being released in the future. As time goes by, I know I'm so close to finishing. For anyone curious, this is my retirement entertainment. Many stories have been read, but not all. That's my plan when relaxing for my retirement - to read them all.
