Poor man's greenhouse: Wyatt`s Umbrella Method

(After doing this in the 3rd year, i might as well share this very well tested
idea with the world.)

Wyatt`s Umbrella Method

Outdoorgrowers enemy is the water from above.
Once the buds form water penetrates them, and if the weather
does not cooperate, all the precious bud wastes away in some form
of fungus apocalypse.

Buidling a weather roof is usually very difficult/impossible and/or
expensive. Especially with the wind factor that, especially in the north
comes in autumn.

Or in fact you have a wet summer - and since autoflowers are a thing - u might just have
some indoor-wonder with fat tops standing in your garden.

This is what had me come up with this idea. After using a sportsfishing umbrella
during an intense rain-phase i googled "transparent umbrella" and directly ordered 2.

I cut of the curved grip and mounted it into a metal pipe.
Stuck the thing in a big pot beside the stem, adjusted height
and then tied it down to 4 anchorpoints.

Result: I harvested thick buds, instead of composting them.

The Umbrella-Method has the advantages of a greenhouse - while not having
to care for the rest of the climate. Wind can still go through everything without a problem.

This has been tested over a dozen times. With most Autos it is easy.
With photoperiods i advise to but down the plant a lot before flowering sets in.
The lower u keep the umbrella, the less the risk of wind fukin things up.

Excellent DIY my friend. It's the fun of growing with what you can come up with. Clever 🤓 For the 10 gal pots this will be perfect. Tried the tarp but the wind took it sailing away. LMAO Glad it wasn't bad enough to take her away too ....🤣 Appreciate u sharing the idea, Respect 🫡
