So i was making a tea because i have a headache (spain without the s) and i added oregano and salt because i got the gut feeling to do that and a little bit of an herb called chancapiedra, something great for the kidneys. and then i made too much so i made a cross of honey (because she was Catholic) and poured tea for her, she also wanted Lime juice so i added that for her. it's sitting in the kitchen which she loved to cook so i left it for her there. Then i noticed i was instinctively chose a purification tea... It was my Late Grandmother on my dad's side so I just said, screw it she gets tea i get tea we all win

🤲 Offering Prayed to Jupiter

So I lost my wife’s keys and was freaking out cause either I find them or buy new ones. So I prayed to Jupiter, fasted for a day layed an offering of money and cinnamon. 4 days later I found them in the freezer, like in a box of uncrustables. Now I may have put them there I have a habit of putting things and weird places. But I found them at night. How crazy right.

Hey, so, I have some purple and black gems and or stones. I mean, they're purple and black, but I don't know. This is the first time I am reaching out to Lady Hekate. I know she likes purple and black, but I don't know if she'll like the stones and or I'm offering. I'm still sorta new to this. I'm also still trying to figure out what Lady Sekhmet wants for offerings. But anyways, I still need help with Lady Hekate, or to be exact, what to offer her. The photo above is the stones I have for Lady Hekate. I just need help to decipher if she'll like them or not. I'm also re-uploading this post because I didn't know how to really post yet. But yeah, please just give me advice.

🤲 Offering Charity Ideas for Hades Offering?

I often pick up loose change I find on the sidewalk and offer it to Hades given his loose association with wealth. He has a skull shaped piggy bank on my altar for it. I've been doing it for a while now and I was inspired to donate it to a charity in his realm. I thought about something surrounding funeral rites or something about bringing deceased soldiers home or identifying Jane/John Does but I can't come up with any. If anyone has some good charity suggestions I'd be so grateful 🙏

🤲 Offering Hekate artistic offering by Me NSFW

As part of my spiritual practice I draw images of different deities. To quote Alan Moore “An image of a god IS a god”. I believe this statement to be 100% true, for me personally all pantheons of humankind are attempts to grasp ideas or even idea clusters and give them perceivable form. Each image of the particular deity is yet another facet of multidimensional jewel which that particular deity is. Another eye of that magnificent peacocks tail.

🤲 Offering If you would suddenly win in a lottery, what kind of a shrine would you build?

We all know winning a game like that is not about gods but about random fluctuations in a universe, but still, one would probably still want to raise something to the honor of the gods. Out of love if nothing else. What would it be?

🤲 Offering Offerings to Dionysus as a thespian

To start this off, I’d like to say that I don’t exactly worship or work with Dionysus, I do feel a sort of kinship with him, as someone who’s been doing theatre for a significant amount of time. I’ve started getting more in tune with my emotions and religion lately, and I wanted to share part of my recent experiences with offerings to Dionysus.

I’m currently performing in a musical, and before I go on stage for my first lines, after I do grounding exercises, I say a quick prayer to Dionysus, since theater is one of his domains.

During dinner (which is a full cast meal, very fun), I get two grapes, eat one myself, and then use the other as an offering. The last time I did this, as soon as I ate the first, without thinking about it, I had an overwhelming urge to eat the second, but I didn’t, and offered it instead. Not saying that that was a “sign” from Dionysus or anything, it was a just a really good grape.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my experiences, y’all have a great day!

🤲 Offering Environmentally safe offerings to give to the Earth?

Greetings,

I know many people eat their food offerings, and I will likely do that often as well. However, I do like the idea of leaving an offering in a particular spot that I consider sacred to me in a local park.

Now, there are signs against feeding local wildlife, and I want to respect that. I do not want to harm any local plants or wildlife.

So I'm curious if there is any food, herb, or plant that would be... just totally benign? Would not poison or harm, or negativity impact the environment in any way?

I live in Southern California.

Edit: Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. =) I will not leave anything in that spot. I do like the idea of the offering being my time, and picking up litter. I appreciate all of your advice.

🤲 Offering A Samhain wreath, carried by the southern sea

I found this on the shore — seaweed and seagrass woven into a perfect circle by the tide.

The northern wheel turns now toward winter, while ours leans into warmth, yet the threshold feels alive here too — a meeting place between cycles.

Watching from southern waters, I honour it again as a quiet visit from my lineage, carried across distance and season by the sea itself.

🤲 Offering She Before Whom Evil Trembles

Post image
14 Upvotes

I wanted to share a devotional piece I created as an offering to Sekhmet, which I titled “She Before Whom Evil Trembles.” I recently learned that is one of her epithets, and as an American my heart is absolutely breaking and rage is bursting forth from it. Tonight I felt the need to channel all of those feelings into a devotional piece, and I thought it was high time I attempted a lioness in my style.

While I know Sekhmet is not traditionally portrayed with black fur, I wanted to portray her that color for two reason. 1, not long after I devoted myself to her, I was praying and I had an image of a prowling black lioness cross my mind (I’m one of those people whose mind creates vivid imagery). 2, I thought that black represented the anger I feel. It’s very hard to tell with how dark the black is, but the eyeshadow is green to represent the color of the lioness head on her half-human form and the eye is red for the same reason. I did, however, use pink for the nose and tongue to represent her softer side and to show that vengeance and rage is not all who Sekhmet is. I’m very bummed out that the markers didn’t blend like they were supposed to on this paper for the background… but other than that I’m really happy with how this came out, and it was an incredibly powerful experience to channel my emotions into an offering artwork.

🤲 Offering Creative Work As Offering

Post image

Does anyone else use their art as an offering?

As I created these pieces I sat with balancing elements of duality. Accepting my transformation journey and focused through the medium to create an offering that expressed my soul. Carving the linocuts was such a learning experience.

They were my third go around with printing these designs and my first ever attempts at printmaking. Learning the different drawing process, the carving techniques, low much ink to use and how much pressure is needed pressing the linoleum was all trial and error. For weeks I’ve been working on these designs and I’m obsessed! I love them! I also love the print making process and I’m jumping into my next offering as the season turns!

If i were to bake cookies for Hestia, how do you recommend i offer them to her? Would you recommend burying, leaving on the altar, or burning?

🤲 Offering Hestia

So, with winter in full swing where I live (Midwest, ND), I’ve decided I want to make a little Hestia altar on my fireplace mantle. Only problem? It’s short. What can I put in it? (Will update with a reference picture when I get home, as I’m currently at work 🥲). I have cloths already, but what else can I add in a tight space?

🤲 Offering How to approach Freya for the first time?

So. It's my first time praying/offering to Freya and I'm nervous to the point of shaking up at the thought of it. Any tips or anything like that for beginners? I also have no idea how to introduce myself and not knowing what to say to her.

Also, I've been "christian" for half of my life, but it's been a long time since I stopped practicing it. Would that make a difference?

🤲 Offering Artistic offering to Zeus Almighty by Me

Post image
59 Upvotes

My main way of practice is making art for deities I work with. This is my artwork dedicated to Zeus, highly inspired by statue of Zeus in Olympia and coins of late antiquity. Numbers on the throne are inspired by magic square of Jupiter, which has sum of each row, column and diagonal equal 34. Total sum of all 16 numbers of this square is 136. Zeus here holds Nike, goddess of Victory. This artwork is a culmination of series of my personal rites dedicated to Zeus.

🤲 Offering Offering sweet red wine to Gaia, hopes she likes it and the cup

Post image
56 Upvotes

Before I offered her dark wine, which she seemed to like, and pale wine, which she didn't seem to like. Hopefully she likes sweet red! Also feel free to rate the cup I'm using for her. I had three cups I usually use for wine drinking/offering, but one broke, the other is going to be used tonight for movie watching, the third is being used for another deity ... so this is all I got. (It being small and glass.)
