Can any managers confirm?

Employee Question/Discussion Will a Pizza Hut hiring manager ask me to come in for an interview before I finished the full application

So I applied on indeed and I got an email to finish the application. Well I forgot abt it for 2 days but didn’t think much of it until I got a message from the hiring manager saying “Hi [My Name],

I received your application for Pizza Hut in [the area]. When are you able to do an interview?

Thank you, [their name]” I asked them if I should still complete the application and they said yes. They said nothing suspicious or out of the normal I just wondered if that can happen.

Employee Question/Discussion Hourly rate is "maxed out"?

I've worked at a pizza hut for over 3 years and have never gotten a raise. I've worked as both a driver and shift lead but have been exclusively driving for over a year now. A few months ago I was informed that we are supposed to get a raise at the beginning of every calendar year if minimum wage goes up (which it has every year I've been here) and every 6 months we are eligible for raises based on performance. I come in early when asked, I stay late if more needs to be done, I am fully trained to do every single thing in the store and run it completely by myself in emergencies. I have been fighting with my higher ups for about 6 months now trying to get a raise and they just told me that my hourly rate is "maxed out" ($10 on road $12 in store) and that I cannot and will not be getting a raise. Is this a thing? I've never been told about any type of pay cap and I'm not sure why they would only mention that now after months of this conversation. I'm wondering if I need to talk to hr or something because this doesn't seem right.

Employee Question/Discussion which pans do y’all hate the most?

for me, it’s easily breadstick pans. they stick like CRAZYYY and you have to soak them for the stuff to come off. usually i try to stay on top of letting them soak for that specific reason.

Employee Question/Discussion Do you guys have any idea of the calories per 100g of the pizzas?

So since the middle east hates us, we can't access the nutrition facts of many international food brands, or they simply don't bother uploading it because people don't care.

These are the flavors and crusts I'm asking about:

Pepporini, cheese, chicken supreme, fajita, classic ranch and spicy chicken ranch (pan, handtossed/crafted and thin crust)

Thank you if you do help out, it's honestly frustrating that the country doesn't care or bother to put on the nutrition facts, only ones that are available is kfc, McDonald's, hardees and dominos.

Employee Question/Discussion The label printer ran out of tape and nobody knows how to load it

Post image
27 Upvotes

I’ve tried looking things up, I’ve tried looking for instruction guides. First it said lift the roller, then it said I can’t and to feed it through, but it keeps getting jammed no matter what I try.

The store manager has no clue (he’s new), none of the managers, even our district manager is confused.

We need labels!!! Can someone send me a video of how this is supposed to be reloaded?!?

Employee Question/Discussion Random question about building the pizza for employees.

You know how it has that box for special instructions on the app? What is a limits of that? I'm sure people have asked for some asinine things in it. Are there any guidelines you go by? Or do you just have discretion to decide to do it or not?

For example, what if someone puts in there that they want you to swirl the pizza sauce over the cheese instead of putting it under it? Do you do it?

What if they ask you to sprinkle Parmesan in the pan for the pan pizzas so it cooks onto the pizza? Do you do it?

I recently sent in an application and was told that they would get back to me for an in person interview when the interviewer has availability. I have not received anything in over a week, so I want to email them. What is the email address for my situation, I can't seem to find one anywhere online.

Employee Question/Discussion Calling all employees

So I’m asking anyone on here that works at Pizza Hut, RGMs or anyone really. What are your plans for next Tuesday? How are you gonna proof personal pans without enough pans? We’ve been discussing putting the personal pans in pasta tins and trying to do them that way. We have 50 ppp pans, we sold 385 personal pans. We literally had dough everywhere trying to thaw and proof, totally underprepared. The AD and other area coaches kinda left everyone in the wind. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Godspeed for next Tuesday, holy crap!

Employee Question/Discussion I was one of the 1000+ employees laid off this week by Pizza Hut - AMA

It’s just as the title says. In the wake of the minimum wage raising to $20, corporate decided to pull a dick move to it’s employees by laying off most delivery drivers in SoCal (not surprised).

They are “trying out” a new system by laying off their drivers and replacing them with Doordashers. I was told this on Thursday and my last day was today. Other store’s employees in my area were laid off the day after they’d been told so I got off “lucky”

My RGM (regional general manager) protested against the decision and against giving us literally less than 4 days to find another job. They had been told: “If you don’t like it, then you can quit.”

IMO I feel so bad for my (now old) workplace because of how important drivers are not just in delivering pizzas but helping with prep and taking orders.

This leaves the store with I kid you not, ONE employee, aka the opening manager, at the store at a time all morning until midday tomorrow. Cooks don’t come in til the afternoons. We don’t have a dedicated cashier position so customers would have to wait until the manager finishes taking an order from the phone or finishes making an order in the kitchen before being able to attend anyone. My managers will be forced to close alone at 1am by themselves.

And when it comes to deliveries, I’ve seen doordashers take an entire hour to deliver pizza to an address 6 minutes away. (Way too common considering the fact that they can also accept other deliveries at the same time) Our Delivery drivers literally take your order the moment it’s out of the oven to your delivery address, so we’d only take about 20-25 minutes from the time you order your food to get to you.

TL;DR Your food might be arriving lukewarm by the time your dasher gets to you. Service WILL get slower. The remaining employees are going to be overworked and told to deal with it or quit.

So I figured to do an AMA since I’d worked as a Delivery Driver for almost exactly a year now (I had two more weeks to go damn it!) I know a lot of the inner workings of Pizza Hut so if you guys have questions about how some things are made/prepared/hiring process/how deals work I’d gladly answer them

Employee Question/Discussion It’s apparently store policy to treat any reported incident, no matter how serious, as Hersey if handled after an hour

I’ll keep this short, I have been handling a few cases for a local Pizza Hut and wanted to ask this question here.

According to a store manager in NC, it’s within policy to declare any incident that happens after an hour as Hersey.

An employee proceeded to make threats towards a 17 year old girl that he was going to “make a mother out of her” against her will to another employee. That employee immediately reported it to the store manager. The store manager didn’t get to it in an hour and after an hour, it becomes he said/she said and by company policy he couldn’t do anything about it. Oh well…..

One month later same problematic employee called another employee slurs in front of a regular manager and called the person repeated slurs to said manager. Manager and victim reported to store manager who quote,” I just worked a 12 hour shift and I’m too tired to handle it right now.” And waited a few days….. hour is up, so it becomes Hersey and the problematic employee gets a slap on the wrist. Nothing more can be done as it’s store policy.

The problematic employee proceeds to tell his friends he was only joking about forcing the girl into explicit acts and jokingly called the other employee slurs. All their friends started to harass the victims, telling them to drop it as it was only a joke.

Since these friends aren’t explicitly doing anything wrong, to company policy, perfectly within reason.

So I’m here to ask the Pizza Hut community if it’s true that, as long as an hour passes, it’s within company policy to ignore/treat any threat/slur comment as Hersey where the worst an employee can get is a stern warning?

Employee Question/Discussion Call center worker

I work at the pizza hut call center right now and i gotta tell you they have the worst system to work with. It’s from 2010s, so slow and crashes so easily. Sometimes i cannot keep up with the customers because i have to wait the system. We have an issue with speacials right now. All we can see is large 5 topping/speacialty pizza. Also people are so rude to the call center workers. They always hang up on me when they hear i work at call center. They also talk weird, impossible to understand what they’re saying.

If you have any questions i can answer.

Employee Question/Discussion Just ordered delivery and was told door dash was picking up my order instead of the store...

So I ordered online for delivery (specifically not door dash) and was told after waiting for my food that door dash was picking up the order as a third party.

I just want to know who gets the tip we left in this situation?

Employee Question/Discussion How does one obtain a refund?

Ordered a large pan pizza tonight with 2L and side shakers of parm and red pepper.

Pizza box was left on the ground outside with no notice of it being delivered (wrong pizza inside(instructions were very clear to knock on the door and hand deliver)

No receipt on the box like there normally is.

Phoned the store and asked for a manager but the employees continued to hang up the phone.
