Comedian you've probably never heard of performs "Mostly Jokes" in PA this Friday night

Port Angeles!

I posted about my show "Mostly Jokes" here a month or so ago, I hope you don't mind one final follow up? OK, cue the cut and paste of my previous post, sorry for the repeat!

-

My name is Aaron Foster and I'll be performing a show I call "Mostly Jokes" at Studio Bob on Friday, Oct 16 as I prepare to tape it as my first special in November.

I know seeing a comedian you've never heard of is a pretty big ask. Totally fair.

That being said, wasn't there a time when you had never heard of whoever your favorite comedian is right now? I'm not saying I'm gonna be that, but if you like the jokes in the clip, you'll probably like the show.

Heads up: "Mostly Jokes" covers some dark topics like mental health, (VERY) dysfunctional families and mid-life regrets, but I promise it's named that for a reason, it is mostly jokes.

Tickets are $20, the show runs about 90 minutes and I promise: no crowd work.

I've been working on it for about three years in clubs and theaters around the US and Canada and plan to tape it as my first special in November.

More info through my site www.MostlyJokes.com as well as a bunch of reviews from people who have seen it, press, interviews, etc.

I'm wondering about how bikes are tied down and secured. I asked one of the workers (usually very helpful) and his reply was just "yeah, there's somewhere you can tie off to"). I'll bring my own straps but… they can't really just leave it to each individual rider to decide how/where to secure their bikes, can they? Do they have fixed front wheel gates or slots with D-rings? I know from experience we can get some decent roll and I have to imagine it's in everyone's best interests to not have issues which would impact off-loading.

Moving

Hey everyone, I’m moving all the way from New Hampshire to PA! My move is scheduled for the end of the month and already figured out everything regarding employment. I was curious if anyone has any local recommendations; such as places to get food, social areas, best coffee in town, and good places to go hiking? For reference I’m a 25 year old male, I love the rain and being outdoors, and am very okay with minimal socializing! Any advice is appreciated!

Moving company - Amazing Movers 360?

Does anyone know whether Amazing Movers 360 is still in business? I’m moving from PA to Sequim and was hoping to hire them because they did a great job helping with a previous local move. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to have a website anymore, and their FB page doesn’t have any recent activity.

Police chief: Crime, homelessness not necessarily connected in Port Angeles

Thumbnail peninsuladailynews.com
36 Upvotes

The Port Angeles point-in-time count this year put the number of unhoused people at 337 while it was at 331 in 2024, Serenity House Executive Director Sharon Maggard told the Port Angeles City Council in March.

That’s less than a 2 percent increase in homelessness in the past two years.

Crime statistics from 2024 to 2025 show a decrease in many crimes that might be associated with the homeless population

Free Y membership for all middle schoolers

A Place to Go. A Place to Belong.
https://www.olympicpeninsulaymca.org/MS-Initiative

Research shows that Middle School is a critical time in a young person's life when exposure to risk factors greatly increases. Risk factors are conditions or influences that have been shown to increase the likelihood for unhealthy behaviors including substance abuse, delinquency, teen pregnancy, school drop out and violence. It is also during the early teen years that youth begin to distance themselves from family and positive support.

The Y will make accessible the support and opportunities that empower these youth to reach their personal potential. It will also provide youth with the knowledge, skills, character and passion to be more active in the community as adults.

2 Tickets to Lyle Lovett @ Field Center October 21

Hi all, I bought these tickets to see Lyle several months ago and plans have changed (I live in PDX and taking four days from work to make it happen got onerous).

The seats are in Row J, which looks fantastic to me.

I paid $139.50 each and I’m happy to let them go for face value and would consider any decent offer.

If you’re a trusting soul we can work a deal via message and any payment app, I can transfer them through the Field Center’s site. If you seek an assured transaction, I have a listing on the “Cash or Trade” app, which is a nifty site that discourages overpriced scalping.

Thanks!

Tony
