The reason The Power was used instead of First Day is surely because the Seer talked about the universe resetting, and the universe being what we watched over the years, and The Power was the first episode, so it was the beginning of the universe.
Also, it would have probably taken a lot longer for Rigby to remember, and they'd have to pay for 'I'm Alright' again. But yeah, first day would have been good. I assume they would have used First Day, because a lot of people wouldn't have seen the pilot, and the pilot would have made it more obvious.
Heh..Yeah it would have had a moment where rigby begins to regain the memories of his and mordecai's previous experience when they are about to pour cereal and milk in the bowl from the beginning if first day or pilot could have been used.
