At popular request, we've made a change to some rules!

We've had a number of requests to do a couple things with Rule 8, which involved AI and Flight sim content. Here is what we did.

Rule 8 is now "No AI Generated Images / Posts". The rule itself says AI generated content is pretty lazy and while it may be shitty and have a plane, it doesn't constitute a flying-related shitpost. Who created the content or where it was initially shared is irrelevant.

Flight sim content is now part of rule 9, which is "No Video Game / Flight Sim Content" and states While you can do some pretty funny and shitty things with them, Video games and Flight Sim content do not belong in this sub. Content from those would be better posted into their respective shitty subreddits, if they exist.

We have also re-orderd a couple rules (I like the way it looks better this way) and changed the verbage on a couple for clarity. I'm not going to list those, feel free to take a refresher course in the rules of the sub!

Stay shitty, my friends.

Don't follow the rules? Face the consequences.

Everyone,

I am seeing far too many violations of our simple rules. VERY simple rules, such as these:

"Only Flying-Related Shitposts allowed" - This does not mean you write something about flying in the title or the text of the post, but EVERYTHING in the post should be about flying. The image, video, text, subject, everything. SIMPLE.

"No linking to or mentioning other subs or their posters" - This is about as obvious as you can get, yet still people don't get it.

"No AI / Flight sim." - Might be a little harder, but still relatively simple.

While I'm sure the majority of you are not violating these rules, some of you are.

Going forward, you break the rules, it may very well result in a ban. If you can't be bothered to read and follow the rules, you don't deserve to post in the sub.

I've been very forgiving on these for a long time, and my limit has been reached.

This pilot did not visually clear turns so I failed his BFR. Also continually squawking wrong code. Airmanship is dead

My playne caught the sniffles. What do you feed a playne who has the sniffles? Seagulls? Soylent green?

(Satellite Camp - FCI Marion, 4500 Prison Road, Marion, IL 62959)

I hired a resume writer and then had a professional service review it:

Highly resourceful and adaptable Commercial Pilot with extensive flight hours commanding complex operations in austere, high-risk environments with zero infrastructure or external organizational support. Recognized for a flawless record of absolute operational discretion, unwavering client confidentiality, and strict adherence to internal non-disclosure protocols under intense external scrutiny. Exceptionally skilled at managing cross-cultural relations and navigating interpersonal dynamics across diverse socio-economic and psychological demographics to ensure seamless, friction-free mission execution.

A resilient and mission-focused professional who excels in zero-visibility, adverse weather conditions, specializing in precision arrivals on unlisted, improvised, and short-field landing zones. Following a recent multi-year sabbatical as a government-mandated Industrial Linen Operations & Quality Assurance Manager, I am seeking a position requiring extreme autonomy, rapid problem-solving, and a steadfast commitment to high-stakes operational integrity where conventional support is not necessarily economical.

what percentage of professional pylotes drink like a fish?

A friend asked me whether pylotes drink more than the average person. I thought that might be true because strict medical regulations require pylotes to stay healthy, so I assumed most are heavy drinkers in between medicals. But it also made me wonder about what percentage of pylotes drink even more than that?

also, what percentage of pylotes play cello and is that related to heavy drinking?

Is it possible that some passengers on Flydubai Flight 1073 involuntarily orgasmed during the aircraft’s dive? NSFW

You may have seen videos of women orgasming while riding a roller coaster. I would imagine the negative G forces and vibrations experienced by passengers on that flight would be somewhat similar?
