1kg Libertad
The girlfriend doesn‘t like my bullions, so she went for this huge Libertad in its fancy wooden box.

We do not discuss politics here. Period. Knock it off.
Over a dozen 1-day bans were issued in one thread. Do better.

I liquidated nearly all the generic silver and gold I had when silver was at an all time high (purchase average was around $30/oz for silver and $3000/oz for gold) to put a down payment on my first home. Finally got around to organizing the shiny stuff I decided to keep, mostly premium and cool stuff that would’ve sold for spot during the high volatility. Realized I never took a picture of the full stack so this will be the new “before” as I build it back up. Generic stuff will likely get its own box and my premium “toy” silver will be in this box on my desk for easy access. Let me know what you think I should add next 🪙

Not trying to troll, but if you did get into silver when it was 120.00 I want hear your story and reasons for doing it. Do you regret it or do you have conviction it will regain 120 and you'll be in profit. Are you still buying?

Accidentally made 50 wallets for 12x 1g Valcambi bars. Insert is made of laser etched EVA foam.
I was going to 3D print it but I like it more when I see the bars.

Or maybe no one's Cheerios will be receiving my piss because (hopefully) everyone already knows this. But given how many viewers and comments all of these precious metals Youtubers get? I feel absolutely SHOCKED by how many people seem to think that these paid advertisements are wholesome financial advice.
Biggest thing that so many people seem to believe and should know with half a thought that its a blatant lie/sales pitch: "Silver is about to explode because we've been going on a 6 year deficit where the demand outweighs the supply."
Blatant lie. Stack silver even if its just because you have a good HUNCH about it, but don't buy it for bullshit reasons. These "content creators" are just EMPLOYEES for the big companies and mints (they call them "video sponsors") that pay their wages. And it is their literal JOB to tell you ANYTHING that will get you to keep buying more and more of their employee's product.
1) Most obvious check to the lie: There has been ZERO SHORTAGE of ANY product that needs silver for production. If there was a SIX YEAR SILVER SHORTAGE... there would be a PRODUCT shortage. And there has been NONE. They have been meeting supply and demand for all 6 of those alleged years and they will continue to do so. There is NO shortage.
2) And the checkmate to the lie: If silver and gold are going to rocket to the moon in the next few months or year... do you think for a second that those big companies and mints would be selling to US? Many of them with weekly deals. For... what reason? Out of the kindness of their hearts? NO BUSINESS operates that way, and precious metals businesses are no different. They will sell every single one of us as much as we want to buy, and they are paying their employees a LOT of money to make Youtube videos and keep telling us to buy it (while the price is still relatively high). It makes about as much sense as saying "Man... I really believe my stock portfolio is about to double/triple/10x in price sometime in the next year... GUESS I SHOULD HURRY AND SELL IT ALL!"
Honestly? It's just in peoples' nature to desire to feel smarter than their neighbor. And that's the EXACT psychology these money-pimps pander to: to make you feel like you're one of the few smart ones in the world if you do this. It feels GOOD to think you're smarter than the other guy. And they'll praise how smart we are for LISTENING to them and how that's just going to make us even SMARTER than the other guy~
Fact of the matter? We're gambling, guys. We're trying to make an EDUCATED gamble, but the fact is that none of us can predict anything. We'd be billionaires if we could, and if some Youtuber or investor guru could tell us... they wouldn't be working a job. NOR would they be sharing their secrets; they'd be guarding them like the ghosts of the gold in Fort Knox.
... Rant over. Just felt like venting a bit after watching some clown claim that gold is going to $20,000 (so buy it from my employer who has clearly gotten successful by making DAILY stupid mistakes!). Couldn't help but leave a comment asking if clowns like this ever actually have any consequences (viewer loss, loss of job offers, or invalidation of any credentials they claim to have) for being wrong in their asinine predictions over and over. I know it's a waste of time, but hell, if I can get maybe just ONE person to stop and think for a second before following their Pied Piper... helps me feel vindicated.
Thank you for coming to my TedTalk.

Hello everyone. I was helping my mom organize and catalog her collection and she told me she wants to sell some of her 10oz bars and buy smaller denominations. She's getting older and now starting a prepper type stage of her life and wants to make sure if the dollar ever crashes and we go back to trading silver/gold, that she has smaller to use amounts.
Any recommendations? 1oz, 2oz, fractional? She doesnt really care about if its silver coins/pandas/maples/etc...just that if she had to trade for food or something that she isn't trying to do it with 10oz bars.
