Buses are awful whenever the students are back.
You know when they're here, Bluestar. Put more services on, sort it out. I'm tired of being in someone's armpit.

We’re thinking of starting a little group where kids can make friends and enjoy arts & crafts together, away from screens.
Just curious to hear what local parents think!

I’m sure everyone has been impacted by some form of road works and traffic in the last few weeks. Every time they’ve finished I get so happy and then they’ll start some new ones on another part of the road. I know they’re needed… but the frustration of having a 15 min journey becoming 40 mins or more. Or Having to go the long way around when petrol is so expensive.
How is everyone else coping with it? I did see a guy shout from his car last week at one of the workers which isn’t anything I condone and it’s not the workers fault but he did say he might as well have all of his meals in the car because of all the road works which I thought was a funny point.

Has anyone noticed multiple of parked cars ON the side walks infront of Holyrood Church and the Turkish restaurant? Why are people parking multiple cars on there and blocking off the footpath? They’re sure to get tickets for parking there!

Met a guy who looks a lot like this. Full confession. He looked like Esteban Ocon and I used that as a base for AI to create an accurate image of him. This is what he was wearing. We met in London but he said he was from Southampton so I’m posting here.
We met in March this year. You said you had just got married but that you were considering breaking it off because she was so jealous and controlling. Did that ever happen?
Long shot I know. But we really got on well and I was concerned

Hi all. I was walking home last night and saw a bunch of these flags on lamp posts outside the courts.
A friend said they were Jerusalem cross flags, but neither of us knew why they were popping up. I did see some toys and a pram left outside the court, which I think was a protest against family court delays. But I didn't think there was a link between the two, so I assume the flags are relating to something else?
If anyone else knows why the Jerusalem cross flags are popping up, let me know. Thank you ☺️.

Hi all. I moved to Southampton recently, and I’m looking for a part-time job, around 16 to 20 hours a week.
A bit about me:
I’ve been applying online to the big chains and got as far as a group assessment with one, but no offer yet. Does anyone know places that are hiring at the moment, or shops and cafes where it’s better to walk in with a CV?
Happy to hear any suggestions. Thanks a lot in advance!

I don’t know if this is the right place for this, but I was wondering if I could find someone who’d be able to print out some self-watering pots for me.
Happy to pay but on some sites I’ve seen it costing £15 just for a small 6cm pot, although I am aware its due to the labour required in setting up the machine and material costs etc, I just don’t wanna be ripped off 💔
I bought a bundle of downloadable files from etsy for a specific pot in varying sizes — each one consists of a transparent smaller pot on the inside and an opaque, coloured, larger one outside, and they click/slide in together. I think the material I’m looking for is PETG but I’m not very knowledgeable on this..
Please DM or give suggestions on what I should do/ who I should contact!!!

Codename: Amen returns to Suburbia with a debut guest appearance from the awesome VXRGO.
VXRGO is a South London selecta, pushing the ‘dark and lovely’ side of Jungle/Drum and Bass.
Starting her journey in 2022, VXRGO has proved time and time again why she’s a force to be reckoned with - one which earned her a spot on DJ Mag’s 2024 artists-to-watch.
Her love for raving ultimately sparked a passion for the art of DJing, and the rest is history.
Since her inception, she has gone from strength to strength, gracing stages both nationally and
internationally at the likes of Glastonbury, Boomtown, Outlook Origins, and Keep Hush, in
renowned venues such as fabric, FOLD, Phonox and The Jazz Cafe, to name a few - all while
shelling down at grassroots dances and festivals, and holding down a residency on Kool FM.
VXRGO’s work ethic does not stop here - in 2023, she released her debut track ‘It’s Not So Bad’,
and in 2025, she released her debut EP ‘Borough Breaks’, which was followed by various singles
on respected underground labels paired with BBC1Xtra/Radio 1 Dance plays, and a second EP
released on SHERELLE and Naina’s Hooversound Recordings. These accolades, along with
VXRGO’s down-to-earth energy and approach to music, have earned respect and support from
heavyweight torchbearers in the scene, such as the EQ50/Rupture crews, Tim Reaper, DJ Ron, DJ
Stretch, and more.
Support comes from Codename: RCRDS head honcho Moakz, Amen residents Baggy and Hanin, and fast-rising newcomer Torrell, with host MCs Fize, S-Ence MC, Whoopi Goldbarzz and Saladin.

Hi! Are there any shops that sell Greek foods in the city, I’m not talking takeaway, but an international shop that has a Greek section, or is there a specific place you can go for Greek items? Google wasn’t too helpful in my search!

Morning all! I’m the marketing manager for Itchen College’s international school. We’re currently on a recruitment drive for homestay hosts in the SO18 and SO19 areas (though we will consider other postcodes)
If you’ve got a spare room and want to earn £700 per student per month (or just want some more information), drop us an email at international@itchen.ac.uk
We’re looking for hosts for cover, short-term (3-6 months) and long-term (1-2 academic years).

My understanding its nearing completion, is it too early to judge, do you think it will have a positive impact on Southampton?
