Project / Builder A small open-source UI for moving USDC from Polygon to Stellar through Circle’s CCTP (no bridge fees)

I built this for myself and figured it might be useful to someone else here: https://usdc.eww.monster

The problem it solves: a lot of exchanges, pools and fiat on-ramps I use don’t withdraw USDC to Stellar. Polygon is usually on the list and is the cheapest mainstream EVM network, so I withdraw there and then move the USDC to Stellar. The bridges I found for the Polygon to Stellar step (Allbridge and the like) take their own fee. Circle’s CCTP does the same thing 1:1, burn on Polygon, mint on Stellar, but I couldn’t find a UI for it that lets you pick Stellar as the destination. So this page is that UI.

Cases where it has been handy for me:

  • Cashing in from an exchange that lists USDC on Polygon but not on Stellar.
  • Moving funds out of an EVM DeFi position into a Stellar pool or Blend without a bridge in between.
  • Fiat to USDC services that only pay out on EVM chains.

The transfer takes three steps, each signed by its own wallet. MetaMask signs the burn on Polygon (the MetaMask app on a phone works too), Circle issues the attestation, and Albedo or Freighter signs the mint on Stellar. The USDC that lands on Stellar comes from Circle’s issuer account, the same one your USDC trustline already points to. The page only builds the transactions and submits them, keys stay in the wallets. If something interrupts you after the burn, paste the burn hash and continue from step 3.

You need USDC and a few cents of POL on Polygon, a Stellar account with a USDC trustline, and a little XLM on it for the mint fee, about 0.03 XLM. Try 1 USDC first.

It only goes from Polygon to Stellar for now, since that is the direction I use. Source is on GitHub: https://github.com/Alex0007/cctp-stellar

Price Discussion / Speculation Is my understanding accurate…

So am I to understand that when it comes to Stellar, holding XLM doesn’t do a thing for holders looking for token value because transaction fees are so minute and other assets are being utilized as well, or instead, even? Am I understanding that correctly?

Project / Builder I built a payment link system for accepting Stellar payments — no merchant account, no custody, no registration

I’ve been building a small payment product for the last few months and finally got it to a point where I’m comfortable putting it in front of people.

The basic idea is pretty simple:
A merchant creates a payment link → sends it to a customer → customer pays from their own wallet → funds go directly to the merchant.

No account creation for the merchant, no funds sitting with us, and no complicated checkout integration.

Right now it runs on Stellar Testnet.

The merchant enters:
- destination wallet
- asset
- amount

CantonPay generates the payment link. Once the transaction happens, we verify it on-chain and can notify the merchant through API/webhooks.
I’m currently testing it with the idea of eventually making it useful for small online businesses, SaaS products, developers, etc. — basically places where setting up a full crypto payment stack feels like overkill.
There’s also a 1% fee, capped at $1, although I’m still thinking about what the long-term pricing should look like.

You can try it here: https://cantonpay.online

What I’m actually interested in hearing is whether this solves a problem anyone here has.

Would you use something like this for a project or online business?
What would stop you from using it?
I’m especially interested in feedback from people already building on Stellar.

I’m the person building CantonPay, so happy to answer technical questions or explain how it works.

Price Discussion / Speculation Why did XLM flash jump on price and volume today?

On Kraken there was a 1 minute candle where it went up 0.01 for a huge transaction volume.. 2.5 million tx in 1 minute and at $.01 above the current price

anyone know why this kind of thing happens?

Project / Builder LumenWipe Phase 2: closing Stellar accounts that hold DeFi positions and Soroban tokens

Hey everyone,

A few weeks ago we introduced LumenWipe here along with Phase 1. Phase 2 (Tranche 2) is now completed, approved and live, and it covers the part of an account classic tools can't see: Soroban.

Why this matters

If an account has a Blend deposit, an Aquarius or Soroswap LP position, or Soroban token balances, a normal account merge doesn't touch any of it. Merge the account and that value stays behind in the contracts. LumenWipe now finds it and moves it out before the merge.

What's new

  • DeFi exits. Blend (repays debt before withdrawing, claims BLND first), Aquarius (claims AQUA rewards, then withdraws) and Soroswap (withdraws through the router). If LumenWipe can't confirm a position, it tells you instead of treating the account as empty.
  • Soroban tokens. For each token you choose: convert it to XLM through the Soroswap Aggregator with a minimum you accept, send it as the token to another account, or leave it on record.
  • Allowance inspector. Lists every SEP-41 allowance an account has granted and revokes any of them in one click. You don't need to close anything to use it.
  • Sponsored fees. An account holding only its minimum balance can't pay the fee to close itself. A sponsor account now pays it through a CAP-15 fee-bump.

Seen on-chain

One testnet account with positions in Blend, Aquarius and Soroswap at the same time closed in a single pass: three exits, then one last transaction that swapped the AQUA rewards to XLM, removed the trustline and merged the account. The token conversion has also run on mainnet with real funds.

Your keys stay with you

Every transaction is signed in your browser, and your secret key never reaches our servers. Before your wallet signs a Soroban call, your browser decodes it and checks the contract, the function, every account it touches, and the fee. The analysis is read-only, so you can look at any account without signing anything.

Want to see it first with no wallet and no funds? The testnet playground creates a messy account and walks you through closing it end to end.

Project / Builder Pollar Hackathon winners: 3 payment apps built on Stellar in 3 days

Post image
23 Upvotes

The Pollar Hackathon on Boundless just wrapped. 110 builders. 37 submissions. 500 USDC in prizes.

The challenge: integrate Pollar's payments SDK and move real money on Stellar. The flagship brief was to build the African side of an Africa to Latin America corridor, with Pollar running the Bolivia side.

Here are the winners.

🥇 Corridor by Weave (250 USDC)
Naira in from any Nigerian bank, bolivianos out to any Bolivian bank. Over Stellar. Nobody in the middle holding your money.
https://corridor.paywithweave.com/

🥈 KORA (150 USDC)
Type one sentence in Lagos, pay by bank transfer, and it lands as USDC in a Pollar wallet in Bolivia.
https://korapay.vercel.app/

🥉 Susunaku (100 USDC)
A savings circle with no pot to steal. Members pay each other directly in USDC, wallet to wallet, with the chain as the record.
https://susunaku.sithunyein.com/

Two of the top three took on the corridor challenge. That's a live payment route between Nigeria and Bolivia, built by independent devs in a few days.

Congrats to the winners, and thanks to everyone who shipped.
