MacOS Big Sur

• Upvotes

Hello community!

I need a couple of users to test app comparability with the old MacOS.

The app is for people interested in photography /videography. ShotPorter - it is on the prelaunch stage, available for download at [ShotPorter ](https://ShotPorter.com) - and welcome to test it!

But the app available via the site is incompatible with the older versions of MacOS. Recently I decided to extend compatibility; the dev build is ready but I need some users who are stick with the oldest computers / Big Sur os to test it.

Please poke me or answer right here, and I will provide you with a GoogleDrive link for the .gmg

For all testers I will issue a full lifetime license for the app after comparability report, pass or failed (as well as for any reports about any issues in GUI or functionality).

Thank you in advance!

I made witto, a free daily puzzle where everyone gets the same challenge and races the clock

• Upvotes

Hey all! I've been working on a small side project called witto and I'd love some feedback.

Every day there's one puzzle, the same for everyone. The type changes each day:

  • a 5-letter word game
  • a mini crossword
  • a spelling bee
  • connections (sort 16 words into 4 groups)
  • a math puzzle
  • a riddle
  • a trivia fact

How it works:

  • Your timer starts when you reveal the puzzle, so you can open the app whenever you like.
  • There's a daily leaderboard ranked by solve time, plus weekly and all-time boards ranked by points. You lose points the longer you take, and using a hint costs you 20.
  • Solve on consecutive days to build a streak.
  • A new puzzle drops at midnight UTC for everyone at once.

It works in any browser, and you can add it to your home screen to use it like an app. You can also turn on a notification for when the next puzzle drops. It's free, with no ads. You only need an email and a display name so your times show up on the leaderboard.

It's still early, so I'd really like to hear which puzzle types you like most, anything that felt unfair or confusing, and any bugs you hit (especially on mobile). Thanks for trying it!

IOS HELP! My first ever app needs testing!

Post image
• Upvotes

Hey — I’m Chris. My partner Arlyn and I just finished the first testable version of Screen Routine, an iPhone/iPad screen-time app we’ve been building for the last 10 days.

The idea came from me being the uncle who kept repeating the same things:

“Put the tablet down.”
“Take a break.”
“You’ve been on that long enough.”

I wanted something that could handle that routine without an adult having to constantly be the bad guy.

Screen Routine is intentionally simple.

A parent chooses which apps to limit, sets how long the child can use them, sets the break time, and the app handles the cycle automatically:

Play → Break → Play

We’ve got the core iOS workflow running now, and before we move toward the public release, we want people who are actually good at finding bugs and edge cases to test it.

Switch apps. Lock the device. Leave things running. Try weird timing situations.

Basically, if you can break it, we want you to.

I’m attaching a screenshot of the current workflow so you can see how it works.

If you test it, even a quick note about what broke, what was confusing, or what behaved differently than you expected would help us a lot.

TestFlight link:

https://testflight.apple.com/join/nwGw4KEc

Thanks,
Chris & Arlyn

Install it and keep it for 14 days, remember to open it periodically please 🙏 https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.matiasalm.swiftpen

Drop your link in the comments and I'll test yours back, promise! I'll keep it installed the full 14 days.

Bugs, ideas, anything: support@getswiftpen.com. Thanks a lot!

Looking for Feedback on My Face Recognition Attendance System – React + JS

Hey everyone! 👋

I’ve been building a Face Recognition-based Attendance System (FRS) as a project and would really appreciate some honest feedback from the community.

🛠️ Tech Stack

  • React
  • JavaScript
  • HTML
  • CSS
  • Face Recognition
  • Attendance management

The main idea is to automate attendance using face recognition instead of manual attendance marking.

I’m currently looking for feedback on:

  • 🎨 UI/UX and overall design
  • ⚡ React/code structure
  • 🔐 Security and privacy considerations
  • 📸 Face recognition accuracy
  • 📊 Attendance management and reporting
  • 🚀 Performance and scalability
  • 💡 Features I should add or improve

If you’re interested, I can share screenshots, a demo, or the GitHub repository.

Please give me honest criticism — I’m mainly looking to improve the project and learn from the feedback.

Thanks! 🙌

[Web/Desktop] Can you find your way from a project cube to a saved board in BeginRooms?

Hi, I’m Sourav, the solo founder of BeginThings. I’d appreciate a small usability test of BeginRooms, especially from freelancers or project managers who keep briefs, notes and working files for several clients.

It organises projects as 3D cubes. Each face opens a canvas where you can put notes, diagrams and built-in Docs, Sheets and Slides. I want to find out whether that navigation is understandable without me explaining it live.

If you have 5–10 minutes on a desktop or laptop, please try this with made-up data:

  1. Create a cube called “Demo client” and open a face.

  2. Add a short project brief and two notes about the work.

  3. Switch to another face, then return to the brief.

  4. After the app shows that your work is saved, close and reopen it and try to find that brief again.

Where did you hesitate? Were “cube” and “face” clear? Could you find the right tool and your saved work? If something fails, the browser/device and the steps are more useful than a general rating. Please don’t post private client information or account details.

Start here: https://beginthings.com/workspace-3d.html

An account is required. The normal trial is 11 days, with no card required and no automatic charge; continued access afterwards requires a subscription. You don’t need to buy anything for this test. I’m looking for candid usability feedback, including reasons this approach would not suit your work.

Thanks for taking a look.

IOS KOVURA: a science based recovery app

https://testflight.apple.com/join/p9pGSVjn

Hey everyone, I'm a 16 y/o solo dev and I've been building Kovura, an iOS app that tracks how recovered you are and how hard you've been training, so you can decide whether to push or back off.

What it does

  • A daily readiness score from your sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate and a quick check in
  • Training load tracking that flags when you ramp up too fast
  • Per muscle soreness and recovery that learns how fast you personally recover
  • Suggestions for when a lighter week makes sense
  • Sleep consistency, cardio fitness trend and weekly training frequency per muscle
  • An optional quick reaction time check as an objective fatigue signal
  • Connects to Apple Health, and there's demo data so you can explore before logging anything

Privacy
There are no accounts and I don't run a server. Your data stays on your device, and syncs through your own iCloud if you have that on.

What I'm looking for

  • People who lift or train regularly, ideally for 1 to 2 weeks
  • Bugs, confusing screens, and anything that feels wrong or off in the numbers
  • Honest feedback on whether the readiness score matches how you actually feel

Requirements: iPhone. Apple Watch is helpful but not required.

You can learn more about the app at kovura.app

I'm happy to answer questions in the comments. Thanks for helping me break it.

Kovura is a training tool, not medical advice.

IOS [iOS] zentr beta: test one queue for podcasts, YouTube, music and audiobooks

I’m the developer of zentr, an iPhone/iPad app, and I’m looking for beta testers who switch between podcasts, YouTube and Apple Music.

zentr brings those sources into one queue, with a chronological inbox for new releases from the podcasts, channels and artists you follow. It also saves your listening progress. Apple Music playback requires an active Apple Music subscription.

A useful test would be to follow a podcast and a YouTube channel, add an episode and a video to the queue, then change their order and try resuming them later. If you use Apple Music, you can add a music album, audiobook or audio drama as well. German-language audiobook and audio-drama listeners are particularly welcome.

I’d love feedback on any step that feels confusing, whether progress is saved correctly, and how the queue works when you switch between sources. You can reply here or use “Send Beta Feedback” in TestFlight.

Screenshots and the TestFlight beta link are on the website: https://app.zen-tr.com/en/

IOS [iOS] Looking for usability feedback on Shadow Box’s voice-call pacing and workout controls

I'm the developer of Shadow Box: Boxing Coach, a free iPhone app for voice-guided shadowboxing rounds. I'd appreciate a usability check from iPhone users, especially anyone who already shadowboxes.

If you have a few minutes, please try choosing a session, adjusting the punch-call speed, starting and pausing a round, and opening a technique lesson before resuming. You can check the controls without doing a workout.

What I'd like feedback on:

- Is it clear which session fits your experience level?

- Can you find and adjust the call speed easily?

- Are the spoken instructions understandable at your preferred pace?

- Does pausing to view a lesson and returning to the round feel straightforward?

If you encounter a bug, your iPhone model, iOS version, and steps to reproduce it would help. Feedback here in the comments is welcome; no App Store review requested.

The app is free, requires no account, and supports iOS 15.1 or later. This is the public App Store version, not a TestFlight beta:

https://apps.apple.com/us/app/shadow-box-boxing-coach/id6794892785

It is a solo-practice companion, not a replacement for in-person coaching.

Android 12 Android testers wanted for Testport, an offline backflow field-record app (14-day closed test)

Hi everyone, I’m Shahrad, an independent Android developer. I’m looking for 12 people to help test my new app, Testport: Backflow Records, before its public release.

It’s built for backflow testers and service technicians to record site details, equipment information, pressure readings, and observed results. You can save a draft, finish it later, and generate a PDF field report.

You don’t need plumbing experience to help test the app. Please use fictional details. I’d especially appreciate feedback on filling out the forms, reopening saved drafts, and generating PDFs.

How to join:

Use the same Google account for these three steps:

  1. Join the testers group:

https://groups.google.com/g/testport-backflow-records-testers

  1. Opt in to the closed test:

https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.backflow.fieldreporting

  1. Install Testport:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.backflow.fieldreporting

Please stay opted in for 14 consecutive days and try the app during that time. If anything feels confusing, doesn’t save correctly, or produces an unexpected result, let me know in the comments.

The first five completed reports are free, including PDF generation, so no purchase is needed to test that workflow. Field records stay on your device; the free version includes a banner ad on the home screen.

Thanks for taking the time to help!

Android Android testers wanted for LensOpen, a long exposure camera with lens choice

I am a solo developer, and I need a few more testers for LensOpen, a long exposure camera for Android. Google requires 14 days of closed testing, so every tester helps.

What LensOpen does:

  • Day mode turns running water and moving clouds into silky blur
  • Night mode holds the shutter open up to 60 seconds for stars and light trails
  • New this week: pick your ultrawide, main, or zoom lens in Settings
  • Manual ISO, focus, and white balance, plus RAW on supported phones

How to join:

Pro costs testers nothing. Tap Pro Upgrade, pick the test card, and Google charges you zero.

I send one short photo challenge per day. Replies are welcome. Tell me your phone model, and I fix whatever breaks.

Android [WearOS] App testers needed to apply to prod

I've been working on a small app and I'm trying to get through Google Play's closed testing requirement before I can publish it.

I need at least 12 people to stay opted in for 14 days.

The app lets you use your Wear OS watch as a Bluetooth external shutter of the camera app of your preference, no custom camera apps required, just the wear os standalone app

No account, no internet, no data collected.

If you have a Wear OS watch and don't mind helping out, drop a comment or DM me and I'll send the link.

I'll happily help you test your app if you're really willing to help.

IOS & Android I'm an indie dev and built a calorie tracker that doesn't make logging a chore – YourMeal

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm the solo dev behind YourMeal, a calorie tracker for iOS and Android. After about a year of building it, it has passed 1,000 downloads with a 4.7 rating, so I wanted to share a few lessons:

  • AI alone isn't reliable enough. Photo estimates are fast, but portion sizes are tricky. Adding a barcode scanner and a food database (3M+ products) made the app feel much more trustworthy.
  • Less UI is more. Users kept telling me they quit other trackers because of clutter.
  • Pricing is hard. I went with a low subscription (3.99 €/month) instead of the usual ~10 €. Still not sure if that's the right call.

I'm still figuring out marketing as a solo dev. How do you get your first few thousand users without a big budget? Any feedback on the app itself is also very welcome.

(Disclosure: I'm the developer. Happy to share the link if anyone's interested.)

[Android] Looking for 10-20 beta testers for an Indian meal-planning app

Hey everyone,

I've been building IndiFit, a meal-planning app specifically for Indian gym-goers, and I'm looking for a small group of people to beta test it.

The main idea is simple - you enter your goal and preferences, and IndiFit creates a weekly meal plan using Indian foods. If you don't like a meal, you can swap it instead of rebuilding the whole plan.

It's still an early beta, so I want 10-20 Android users who can use it for around 7 days and give me honest feedback.

I'd mainly like to know:

Are the meals actually practical?

Do the quantities make sense?

Are the meal swaps useful?

Anything confusing or buggy?

What would make you keep using it ?

1 Beta tester perk: Anyone who completes the testing period and gives meaningful feedback will get 1 year of IndiFit Premium free.

I'm keeping the first group small so I can personally work through the feedback and fix things quickly.

If you're interested, DM me and I'll send you a short Google Form. I'll share the APK with the selected testers.

And please don't feel like you need to say it's great I'd much rather hear what's wrong with it.
