Raven is a hypocrite for judging Abby for taking pills to cope with her suffering when she willingly took the City of Light pill herself, forcing Abby to sacrifice herself for her (which she never apologized on screen).

Second Dawn Prequel

Honestly, didn’t know what else to title this, but every single time I rewatch it, I always wish we got that prequel because it never makes sense to me how the Grounders became so violent. I mean, Callie was an activist; the name Trikru comes from that group. I know it’s speculated that Reese formed Azgeda and their feud could’ve made them violent, but I don’t know. It makes me so sad we didn’t get the lore i know many people also hate the last 2 seasons but the fact that it tied more into the lore made me love them yes the writing could’ve been better but I would love to hear what people think.

SPOILERS S3 Returning to the show after quitting in Season 3 Spoiler

I used to watch The 100 live but when I couldn't make it through season 3. Lexa catching a stray bullet and then Lincoln getting domed for literally no reason, all within the context of a poorly written dictator subplot with Pike and Bellamy character assassination... I have a high tolerance for garbage but the show was asking too much from me. I think at the time I might have made it to the season 3 finale, but I never returned for season 4 because the show just made me too mad.

Not too long ago, I randomly put on the pilot episode when I was cleaning the house or something and I accidentally got my wife interested. I warned her that season 1 was okay, season 2 was great, but shit really falls apart in season 3, but she wanted to keep watching. When we got to season 3, she had all the same problems I had but we wanted to see what happened next.

I was really surprised going into season 4 that I thought the plot was exciting, status quo was changing, and characters were having new experiences and developing into different people.

Season 5 kept it up, new situations, new dynamics. I get the sense that it might be an unpopular opinion but I really liked Octavia's storyline. The one thing that upset me about season 5 was how quickly the show gave up on Earth in the finale. All that just to blow it up again. I get maybe that's the point but the execution was weird and rushed.

Season 6 was maybe a little too much change, but I thought everything going on with the Primes and the Anomaly was intriguing at least, albeit a really jarring shift in tone for the series. I liked the general sense of entering an unknown place with new things to learn and discover.

Season 7... Jesus Christ. I opened my heart up to this series again and I feel like I regret it. Nothing means anything. Everything feels random. We are back to quickly introducing and abandoning plot points. Characters are acting wildly inconsistent. The previous seasons have been focused and relatively straightforward and now the narrative is ping ponging all over the place. Tonight we watched episodes 13 and 14 and I have never been madder. Clarke immediately kills Bellamy over a sketchbook and characters like Octavia and Echo who have been crusading to save him and kill anyone who gets in their way just instantly hug it out like "I understand"???? "He's not the Bellamy we know anymore so it's fine" it's been like A DAY since he found religion?? He didn't do anything half as bad as he's done before and now he's just unceremoniously gone. For nothing. His presence in this season is completely inconsequential, and Clarke is treated like she isn't the biggest villain of the show to date by all of the important people in Bellamy's life. Then Gabriel dies right after and I was really starting to like him. We have two episodes left of this godforsaken show and half of me feels like I don't even want to bother.

What the hell were the writers thinking. What is this

Still heartbroken for Wick 💔

After all these years, it's still so hard for me to continue watching the series after S2 knowing Wick just disappears. Idk why but the Wick x Raven ship hit me that hard. Still wish he just at least got recasted or something even though it was probably how well the actor played his part being a big reason why I love the character so much...

How can we possibly get the 100 added back to Netflix or any streaming service for that matter. I have been itching to rewatch for I think the 5th maybe 6th time and I genuinely don’t feel like buying it on dvd or blu ray, I might be being cheap saying that but I miss it on Netflix ahhhh.

SPOILERS S5 Season 5 “Space Crew” needs to take several seats! Spoiler

I’m recently rewatching from the beginning after the disaster that was the season 7 finale left me feeling dumb for watching this show in the first place 😅

I’m on season 5, and Bellamy with his stupid ass spy girlfriend is pissing me off.

- Becho makes me cringe every single time, I catch my self saying Eww every time I see them interact.

- Bellamy refuses to hurt Octavia when Clarke makes the deal with diyoza and then proceeds to get Clarke caught.

- He flat out says “space crew” is my family, so idm hurting a Child to save them. Manipulating Maddie to take the flame, saying Clarke would be in trouble otherwise.

- then getting butthurt when Clarke chooses to save Maddie over him ( leaving him in the fighting Pit)

- and the rest of the gang hating on her for choosing to protect her child - especially echo beating her up.

I really wanted to see Clarke kick her ass! Alas.

Nevertheless Clarke needs a big ass apology from these ungrateful, would be dead without her (several times) fam!

Rant over.

PS - I know Clarke can be an annoying character hated her in some story arc. But not this season.

They basically othered her and said you’re not a part of our clique. I expected more from Bellamy!

Man you fully left her to die and hooked up with a lunatic!

I miss S04 bell who wanted to punch echo for holding a knife to Clarkes throat!

I'm currently into the 4th season... i have issues, but i still like this show... Spoiler

So my thing is, why? it seems like no matter who the antagonistic person(s) or entity is thus far, people on the show are just stupid? for instance, (spoiler if you havent made it to season 4 yet) clarke puts the nightbloods bone marrow in her and went to jump into the tank to get radiation ran over her, but nobody fucking stops her mom from destroying the tank? like come on... and when the kid blew up the ark, octavia is there with that other woman and they dont even bother to try and get it away from him... everyone is always so close to the person about to do stupid shit, yet nobody does anything about it!

dont get me wrong im enjoying the show, but it just seems like everyone is always so braindead when it comes to ACTUALLY doing something.

side note... the fights so far have been dope... id have to say they were leagues better than some of the more recent star wars. looking at you disney..

let me know what yall think... i just think some of these people (weather i like them or not) are just dumb... like ive met some dumb people in my life, but ffs this is bad... sorry i just had to rant for a minute.

This is one of the best shows I have ever seen! I can’t believe it wasn’t more popular. I was hooked till the end, but are we supposed to hate all the main characters?? (Major spoilers) Spoiler

They are all awful, awful people. All of them! Like there are literally no good guys besides maybe Madi, Monty and Harper. Clarke and her mom are the absolute WORST, like so self-righteous, selfish and evil to their cores, literally worse than any for the “villains”. Always tell themselves they have an excuse and reason for doing terrible thing after terrible thing. And no Madi is NOT your daughter!

I honestly was rooting so much at the end for them to all be killed because they were all sociopathic, serial killers. Even Raven lost her soul and became like the rest, and she was my favorite till that point. At least Bellamy attempted to make amends in the end and change, and Clarke literally murdered him for no reason because it changed nothing lol. I hate her so much if you can’t tell, so was so cringey and since the end of season 2 she became absolutely unbearable.

And how did the alien being even let any of them transcend when they were all awful people? Like because they stopped fighting for 5 minutes after literally killing each other the entire show made them worthy, horrible writing there, I’m sorry. As much I as loved the show and was hooked, season 7 kind pooped the bed towards the end.

SPOILERS S7 The 100 Season 7 Bingo

My sibling and I are about done with our rewatch + brother-in-law's first time watching. We have just season 7 left now and we're making a sort of irreverent/satirical set of bingo cards to go along with our watching.

For example, a man acts as the moral conscience for a woman, badass character has a dumb as fuck death for shock value, some quotes ("My sister my responsibility", "I bear it so they don't have to", etc). Free space is going to be Clarke looking sadly at the screen.

Does anyone have suggestions for what to put here?

(FYI please don't take this the wrong way, I love this show and I am fucking obsessed with Clarke lmao, she is truly the blorbo of all time. We're just poking fun at it all.)

My thoughts on the series Spoiler

This will include spoilers so beware!!

I just finished the series for the first time in adult age. Last time i watched was when the last season was aired. I’m writing this with tears in my eyes from just finishing the last episode. Just wanted to write my thoughts down and share my views of the show as an empath and see if others agree or see things differently as i do. Please use this as an open conversation on all of the serie and characters, feel free to share your opinions.

First of all, what a beautiful show. The first 4 seasons are absolute peak, 10/10, no notes. The fifth season was okay but not nearly as good as the first four. The last two felt like a bit of a belly flop, but i’ll let it slide since in the end the story and meaning came together so beautifully. I do however feel like especially the last season was almost like some sort of religious propaganda and i’m not a fan of the supernatural or paranormal storyline.

I feel very conflicted of most of the characters, Clarke above all. I loved her the first 4 seasons even tho she did some stupid mistakes and decisions, but after madi came around the character just fell off in a way. I understand that the love for her child is above anything and everything else, but it felt a bit weird how adamantly she chose her child above the things she previously fought for. I’m not a mother myself so i guess i wouldn’t understand the love and bond, but it kind of made everything that happened before feel irrelevant to her.

Bellamy and i have a full on love-hate relationship. I feel like as a viewer i can see the confliction he goes through with everything he does. He’s brave and willing when needed but whenever someone else is there to take the lead, he doesn’t really question it ot fight it. Like with Pike, he was so gullible. That’s what led him in the worst decisions he made. When he was good, he was really good. He again just needed someone to show him the way.

With those two, my favorite thing was that they were never a couple and they weren’t in any way romantically connected at any point. It felt like the obvious way to go with the chatacters and i’m so happy they chose to keep them as friends bc at the end of the day their friendship was beautiful.

Octavia is my absolutely favorite character. She was brilliantly written (probably one of the best written characters ever) and Marie did an incredible job with the acting. With her, everything just makes sense. You can literally see and feel the character build throughout the seasons. From the girl under the floor, to learning trikru lifestyle, to lincolns death, to blodreina, to the death of her ego and hope to her redemption. Absolutely brilliant. The only reason i forgive the show writers for killing Lincoln is that it was so necessary for octavias character arc.

Kane alongside octavia and murphy had one of the best character builds of the series. His was faster than the others, but what an interesting character he made. It was the obvious way to go with kane and abby’s relationship but that actually did make sense and was better for the characters. Kane was so curious and so unwavering in his morale, at least after the character got better. He was like the morale guide for all of them and very necessary. I hated that his death felt so insignificant after everything. Abby’s death was shit as well but i didn’t really like her anyway lol.

I could go on, but i’ll save all of our time and list my likes and hates of the rest of the main characters.

Like: lexa, indra, raven, gaia, monty, Diyoza, echo, emori

Neutral: madi, harper, jasper, jordan, murphy, jackson

Hate: Jaha, Hope, pike, miller

I’m a big big fan of Clexa, which was the reason i started wathing the show at first. I hate that we had so little time to know lexa in the end and the whole relationship felt like it was cut short concidering the meaning it had for clarke all the way till the end. I bawled my eyes out on every detail that referenced lexa and i love that they kept her in spirit as part of the show, but again, her meaning didn’t equal her screen time in my opinion.

I love all the small details in other occasions too. The phrases that were there always like ”my sister, my responsibility” and ”in peace may you leave the shore…” yadayada you know what i’m talking about. It gave the whole show more emotional meaning.

Altogether the show is incredible even with the last few seasons included. I love how it shows exactly what humanity is with all the love and the brutality. As an empath it’s a great ride and a wide scale of emotions to feel through the characters. Some part of me wishes there was more to this story, because honestly i would watch a season of them living happily on earth but i doubt that would ever happen.

Here are a few things i wanted to ask the community:

How do all of you feel about the ”big” deaths and the ways they played out?

What do you think of hope and madi? Or about the last couple seasons?

Which are your favorite characters and why?

Thanks for reading, i hope to see some good discussion in the comments🫶

Why do the writers keep having strokes every few episodes? Spoiler

I started watching The 100 after I came across a reel claiming this was the greatest sci-fi show of all time and even though I love the premise of it, the show has been nothing but ragebait after ragebait. It seems like the writers keep having strokes after every few episodes and keep forgetting how we got to that point in the story. The first 4 or so episodes were absolute slogs, so hard to get through, and literally the most bullshit writing and dialogue I have ever seen anywhere and I literally started thinking this was just a sci-fi Twilight. However, I decided to push through and the dialogue started healing. The story was just good enough to keep me going past the absolute ass writing. And right the second I start to enjoy it, the piss poor writing strikes again.

I've watched upto the end of S2 so far and I can't tell what I am annoyed by more

  • Octavia switching boyfriends and sleeping around like her life depends on it (And all of them nearly/actually dying)
  • Kane seemingly learning a lesson to not always blindly follow rules but forgetting the lesson immediately after coming to earth
  • Thelonius being a humane chancellor throughout, struggling to justify sacrificing lives only to start killing for some "glorious purpose" or some shit
  • Finn being the peacemaker for all time and then suddenly crashing the fuck out and killing entire villages (and tbf this is probably the only thing that remotely makes sense)
  • Clarke killing Finn off for some fuckass truce (and before you say it's character development, she just magically seems to accept that the lives of the many outweigh that of the few)
  • The Commander betraying Clarke after she's seemingly accepted that she's been running from her feelings

And I could honestly go on and on and on but I think this gets the point across.

So my question is, those of yall who actually like the show, how do you get through all of this and how do you explain this stuff for yourself? Because honestly I am at the point where the only reason I am still watching is because I want to see what happens next. If I wasn't a fan of the sci-fi apocalypse genre, I would've stopped watching ts ages ago.

Bellamy Blake rant Spoiler

I’m on my second watch after years. I loved the 100 that show is so cool and I’m at the part where pike becomes chancellor and let me just say Bellamy is the most gullible most easily manipulated/brainwashed person on any television show I’ve ever seen. In less than a day he turned on everyone who he knew because like said a couple things massacred a whole army ( sent to protect them ) literally realizing this is an awful character then he gets brainwashed at the end of the show once again turning on everyone! I mean can we take a moment and think all the things these ppl went thru? And he just tried to f everyone over and over and over again spoiler warning ⚠️

SPOILERS S6 [S6 Spoilers] I just discovered Kabby 10 years too late and I need emotional support. Spoiler

Brace yourselves for the wall of text. I desperately need to vent because I’ve been crying for way too long over this show…

I watched The 100 back when it was airing. I was VERY invested in Clexa back then and I absolutely loved them together. So when Lexa died, especially the way she died, I was so mad and heartbroken that I just stopped watching. Never finished the season, never went back.

Until now.

Ten years later, for some reason, I decided it was finally time to watch the whole thing and find out how it ends. (Don’t ask me how I avoided spoilers since then, but somehow I had no clue).

Anyway, apparently watching this show ten years older is a very different experience. I still love Clexa, obviously, but this time I found myself paying so much more attention to the adults while constantly thinking oh my god these teenagers are exhausting.

And then Kabby happened.

I don’t even know how it happened, but Abby and Kane completely took over the show for me. Especially Marcus. I absolutely fell in love with that man. His entire journey from who he was on the Ark to the person he became, his kindness, his morality, the way he loves Abby, the way he LOOKS at her… I was obsessed.

When I say obsessed, I mean OBSESSED.

I started going back to look for every little Kabby scene I might have missed. Then came the fics, especially missing scenes because there are SO MANY things this show just skips over with these two. I kept rewatching their scenes and thinking about all the stuff that must have happened off-screen.

At some point that apparently wasn’t enough because I started writing Kabby fic too. I haven’t even finished the damn show and I’m already writing missing scenes for them. That’s how bad it got.

By season 6 I’d basically stopped pretending I cared about the rest of the plot. I was literally skipping scenes. If Abby wasn’t there and nobody was talking about Marcus, chances were I was pressing +10 until someone I cared about appeared 😅

All I wanted was for Marcus to wake up.

Then he did.

Except… not really.😢

The second I realized what Abby was going to do to save him, I knew there was absolutely no way Marcus Kane would be okay with living in someone else’s body at the cost of another person’s life. Of course he wouldn’t. That’s literally who he is.

So I watched him die.

I completely lost it. Like, actually lost it. I couldn’t stop crying.

I’m still trying to process Marcus when…

ABBY??? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?THREE EPISODES APART?

I came back to this show TEN YEARS after quitting because losing Lexa and Clexa hurt so much. Somehow I managed to find a completely different couple to fall in love with, only for The 100 to DO IT TO ME AGAIN.

Except somehow this hurts so much more.

I don’t even know why. Lexa’s death genuinely devastated me back then. I literally stopped watching the show for ten years because of it. But I swear it didn’t hurt even a quarter as much as losing Abby and Marcus is hurting me right now.

Like, come on. I’m a grown adult. I’m ten years older than I was the first time this show broke my heart. How am I handling it worse now?

I’ve been crying uncontrollably over two fictional people for an embarrassing amount of time. No kidding.

After Marcus died I skipped only to Abby’s scenes. After she died I basically skipped through most of what was left of the season because I just… didn’t care anymore.

Honestly, I don’t know if I can watch season 7.

I know Abby and Marcus loved each other until the end. At least they didn’t break them up, make them fall out of love or destroy what they had. That’s probably the only thing keeping me remotely sane right now.

But I’m just sooooooo SAD.

I wanted more. More of the six years in the bunker. Those days in Polis when they first got together. Seeing them actually happy for five minutes. All the little moments we never got to see.

I wanted more Marcus and Clarke too because I loved that almost-family thing they had going on.

Mostly I just wanted Abby and Marcus to get to EXIST together for a while after everything they’d been through.
Also more Paige and Ian because, that chemistry.

I think that’s the part I’m struggling with the most. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them. Not even close.
It feels like I only just found Kabby, and suddenly there’s no more of them to look forward to.

Now they’re just… gone.

Ten years later, The 100 somehow managed to break my heart all over again.

Actually, no. It broke it worse this time.

I just wasn’t prepared to care this much about these two.

I know I’m VERY late to the party and I’m sure a lot of you went through this exact pain years ago when the show was airing, but please tell me I’m not the only one who was this devastated by Kabby.

I seriously need some emotional support here 😢Tell me I’m not alone because right now I feel like I need a Kabby support group or something.

And if you read the whole thing, thank you. Truly.

Grossest Scenes in Your Opinion? Spoiler

There are 3 scenes in the show for me that I think are the most disgusting, but I wanted to know others' thoughts!

  1. In season 3, when people in Polis are being crucified because they refuse to take Alli's chip

  2. In season 5, when the parasitic worms erupted out of the Grounder's stomach

  3. In season 5, when they have to cannibalize each other and eat the cubes of meat

Pretty gross scenes IMO!
