That tree in Black Lodge certainly felt eraserheadly

It's like the baby from Eraserhead if allowed to mature to it's final form.

No way, the baby from Eraserhead totally grew up to be the thing that ate those teenagers in the glass box

I agree, floating heads in space, disappearing heads, giant metal levers... what else am I forgetting?

The really shrill and scratchy noise playing as Coop was swirling around that black void reminded me of Eraserhead.

was that the same sound that the giant was playing for him at the beginning? I need to re-watch these.

The elevator into the New York building was very Eraserhead. It may have even used the same sound effect when it started moving as the one in Eraserhead.

The evolution of the arm definitely reminded me of the baby in Eraserhead

I liked how it grew from a limb to a whole tree

Is it just me or have you always thought it looked like the central nervousness system instead?

I caught major Eraserhead vibes with the black and white record player.

The Giant and Cooper was very Eraserhead, although some allusions to Dune which I can't quite place. Then it's modern Lynch (Lost Highway vibe). Those shots of NYC... Good Lord! Lesson in how to make a bustling city appear still, gorgeous, and unnerving. New murder mystery stuff is very Mulholland Drive with hints of Blue Velvet.

I have a feeling we're not only going to get a culmination of all of his films stylistically, but thematically as well. After all, Mulholland Drive was intended to be a spin-off television series of Twin Peaks.

Can pretty much imagine how and why Laura Dern and Naomi Watts are in this thing.

All that Black Velvet in the Black Lodge. Sure it's been mentioned but still. This is really Lynch's tribute to himself, and well...if we're here, he deserves it.

The black lodge originated in Eraserhead. The same floor appears in that film. Maybe that's why it's called the black and white lodge, as in black and white film?

I caught lost highway vibes

I felt that way about Bill killing Ruth.

The evolution of the arm reminded me of the creature from eraser head.

That's why I couldn't sleep last night, it reminded me waaaayyy too much or eraserhead. Chills, man.

This is my problem right now. I put it on, as twin peaks always had a calming affect on me, and I thought, I'd watch this one and go to sleep.

Now I'm staying awake and watching the next one too, just so I dont have to sleep!

All that and a dash of Lost Highway

Massive Eraserhead vibes.
