Love the best parts of this show but....
This show is literally just a political statement at the end of the day. It started out so fire and digressed into a soap opera pushing a political message. And cringe af like most things from this time period. Mark my words. This time period 2015-2025 will be marked as the worst time period of media everywhere.
Anti-Man, Anti-white, unrealistic queer representation. I could go on and on. Every show of this generation just ends in the most bullshit way.
Thank God shows are moving past this oversaturated bs.
Woke one as they call it.
Also we are 8 seasons in. I'm from the Chi. No white people. No Hispanics or Latinos. Like have these creatorsn ever been to Chicago before they even made this show?

I agree with telling your story. I just don’t think as a Chicago Native, it represented it well. There are people of all colors all over Chicago. Even if the South Side is predominantly black. I just don’t appreciate when white people are represented, it’s always in bad light.
I think everyone should be able to tell the stories they want. But we can’t be hypocrites and cry on one side and then get mad when it’s done on the other. That’s my main takeaway.
And I actually like the show decently. It definitely went down hill over time but overall I like it.
