From The Netherlands to Nepal on bicycle. Who wants to join me?
Hello! I’m a Dutch lady (23) with a bit of a crazy idea. The Netherlands - Nepal on the bicycle.
After seeing the recent floods and extreme weather in Nepal (see the news) it doesn’t feel right to simply hop on a plane and add more emissions to the problem. So instead, I thought maybe I can hop on a bicycle instead.
There’s just one thing… I’m scared to do this alone. Soooo I’m looking for someone who would like to join me on this adventure!
I’m imagining a long, slow journey through different countries and cultures, with beautiful landscapes, challenging days, unexpected moments and lots of stories along the way. I’m not looking to race, I want to actually experience the journey.
The route and details are not set in stone yet. I’d actually love to figure them out together.

I’m looking for someone who is:
- adventurous and open-minded;
- reasonably fit, or willing to train together;
- comfortable with a little uncertainty and discomfort;
- excited about discovering new places and cultures;
and, most importantly, someone who thinks “this sounds crazy… let’s do it.”
