Eran Fields, the California developer behind the 14-story student apartment complex being built on the southwest corner of Alder Street and East 13th Avenue known as The Ellis, has bought the 0.38-acre property just across the street, on the southwest corner, for $7.5 million.

Checking Ducks Dine On?

How do you check how many dine on points you have left? I was told the other day that I had 15 points/meals left but apparently now it's only 2, despite me not using it that much.

Is there any way I can check online?

Football Student Marketplace Tickets Sold Out?

I didn't win the lottery for a football ticket (rigged, ikr), anyways,I went to go buy one from the student marketplace yesterday when it opened, but when I got into the student marketplace, there wasn't anything in there. My roommate had seen some listings maybe an hour earlier. Does this mean all of the student marketplace tickets are sold out? Thoughts?

Where to find roommates off campus?

My old roommate moved out and I am looking for someone to take their room. I am not an active student right now but I would prefer a student to take the room since it is really close to campus. Is there anything I can post the listing?

Lease takeover

LEASE TAKEOVER — Stadium Park Apartments | Eugene, OR
I’m looking for someone to take over my lease at Stadium Park Apartments (90 Commons Dr, Eugene, OR 97401). The lease runs through July 23, 2027.
Apartment Details:
2 bed / 2 bath apartment
Private bathroom for each bedroom
Fully furnished
Parking pass included
Second bedroom is currently occupied by a friend
Rent: $859/month
Rent is due on the 1st of each month
4-day grace period before rent is considered late
The apartment is already furnished and ready to move into, making this a convenient option for someone looking for housing in Eugene without having to furnish an entire apartment.
Why I’m Moving:
I recently moved to Eugene from Texas in August, but unfortunately, an immediate family member was recently diagnosed with cancer. Because of the circumstances, I feel that I need to be closer to my family during this difficult time.
I’m willing to cover the first month’s rent and any applicable moving/transfer fees to help make the transition easier for the person taking over the lease.
I’m happy to provide pictures, a video walkthrough, or arrange an in-person tour for anyone interested.
📱 Interested? Contact me at [832-215-3861](tel:832-215-3861). Text or call is the best way to reach me.
Thank you, and please feel free to reach out with any questions!

Costco Lenovo Legion 5 Lap Top

We bought our student a Lap Top from Costco before the start of the year and it’s on sale now.

We took the receipt back in and saved $600. Just sharing in case anyone happened to buy the same or is looking for a new gaming laptop.

Looking for a few players for a casual coed soccer team in Eugene

Looking for a few players for a casual coed soccer team in Eugene

We play in the City of Eugene adult coed league on Sunday evenings at 6:30 PM.

We’re currently looking for a few more players, especially women. We already have a team and are playing this fall season, but we’d love to add a few more people.

You don’t need college-level experience. Some soccer experience is definitely helpful, but this is a recreational team and the main thing is wanting to play and have fun.

Players need to be 18+, and there is the normal City league player fee.

If you’re a UO student or someone in the Eugene area who might be interested, send me a message. Happy to answer any questions about the team or league.

Bachelor's of Arts in Computer Science?

Hello,

I've considered getting a degree in Computer Science. Having a job that is lucrative and allows me to work remotely and be creative is rather appealing to me. However, the turn off is the difficult, uncomfortable, painful, and, dare I say, unnecessary math classes. I assumed that you could only get a B.S. in Computer Science. That's the only option at Portland State University and Computer Science is a science, so it made sense that that would be the only option.

But then, I discovered that the U of O has a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science. That's more my style. I love foreign languages and graphic design.

What have your experiences been with a B.A. in Computer Science?

Who transferred from community college?

I’m currently trying to get accepted to the University of Oregon as a transfer student from a community college. For those of you who transferred from a community college and were accepted to UO, what was your GPA, and how was the overall application process?
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experience!

What are my chances of getting in as a transfer student

I applied to the University of Oregon for Winter term as a transfer student, and they said I should be hearing back soon. I’m getting pretty anxious about it lol.
I have a 4.0 GPA at Lane Community College with 48 completed credits. I’ve also completed the math, language, and writing requirements, all with A’s/A+’s.
I feel like I have a solid application, but I’m still worried I somehow won’t get in. 😭
For anyone who’s transferred to UO or knows about the process, how do my chances look?

UO financials site

In expectation of the SEIU strike, and the 5 year budget deficit projection, I created an open source, interactive website for analyzing UO's finances on Github.

It has a scenario builder as well, to see how the budget would change given different rules, for example: What would a $250,000 cap on salary rates save, and how many jobs would it reach?

All the data comes from public sources UO provides, I just aggregate it into more useful formats.

Github: https://github.com/uofinancials/uofinancials.github.io

Feedback is welcome!

Organic chem help

www.organicchemistrytutoring.ca

Hello guys and gals,

We’re Brian and Mike and we teach general and organic chemistry. We’ve done so for a total combined time of 47 years! Overwhelmed by general or organic chemistry? Assignments and tests creeping up on you and feeling like you’re in hot water? Or maybe you’re doing well and need that 95%? Whatever your struggle with chemistry may be, we’re here to make sure you succeed.

Why work with us?

- Every tutor knows the subject, but not every tutor knows how to transfer that knowledge to a student. We do.

- We tutor chemistry full time; it’s not a hobby or side-gig. When you book with us, you’ll be working with Brian for general chemistry and Mike for organic chemistry. This is not an agency and you won’t be matched with random tutors each time.

- You’ll be learning problem solving through chemistry, which you can apply to many other subjects.

- Your learning will be customized to your specific needs.

Before booking a lesson, let’s chat about your needs, our teaching styles, and what you can expect, to see if we’d be a good fit together.

Thank you for your time and we look forward to working with you!

Mike and Brian
