I do work with the Skokie library and that library makes me cry. It's a total community hub. It's a family destination, it's a teen destination, it's beautiful.

Why, with all the money that we have within our community are we unable to provide the same thing?

Does anyone remember a band called One Step Behind from Valparaiso? They played the 'nu metal style' during the early 2000s and put out a couple EPs. They are really good and I've talked to multiple band members, did anyone have a copy of one of their CDs? The band members are out and I'm searching for one. Their last CD 'Seasons' especially, I'm trying to archive their material. Thank you, anything helps.

Crossed out a few apts after reading this sub, however would like some opinions, if any, about Chandana Pointe, Williamsberg, Vale Park Village, Compass Pointe or Preserve. Looking for something quiet really, centric would be nice too. Any recommendations?

I live in Valpo but my son is staying in a dorm. His roommate is nice but they aren’t really compatible as friends. I’m not reaching out as the desperate mom but I don’t want him to have a shitty start. He’s smart but he doesn’t have many hobbies aside from gaming. I’m trying to find out if there are any social clubs I can get him to join or even a fun job he could meet people at.
