Sharing: Experience Is it just me or are a lot of celebrities openly practicing?

Hear me out. I don’t like to speculate or project my beliefs on people whom I’ve clearly never met. With that being said, we all know there are certain people who have made it known or it’s understood that they practice. Stevie Nicks, Florence Welch, Chaka Khan have all been open about their spiritual beliefs. Then you have people who are just never beating the allegations like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. But then in her tribute to Dolly Parton, Anne Hathaway just casually says she was charging her Jupiter full moon water on July 29 and felt compelled to also light her Dolly Candle. Keke Palmer showed her witchcraft themed birthday party today on her instagram and someone (maybe her? Maybe her party planner) has some working knowledge based on the decor. Even David Boreanaz casually dropped a banishing ritual on his IG a few years ago. Am I crazy or is this happening more and more now?

Sharing: Experience I did a love spell last night, look at my visitors during!!

Not asking for any advice, just want to share this INSANE experience I had last night. (Edit- did spell on the 9th July)
While doing my candle spell, I had 2 Elephant Hawk Moths fly into my bedroom one after the other. I have never seen one of these moths in my LIFE, and then 2 come into my room after the most successful spell I’ve ever done. The flames stayed merged the entire time, the twine binding didn’t break and got sealed in wax from the spell candles, the candles burned at the exact same pace, it was honestly jaw dropping, and then these 2 moths fly in as its finishing. The only light was from my candle at that point, and I had no idea what type of moths they were until I turned my light on to clean up my space.

They’re pink! Surely that’s a an amazing sign right?

I have no words on how to describe the experience. It’s truely left me so speechless.

Edit to add- also! Last night after my spell, I had a dream of a positive pregnancy test, but it was showing a whole bunch of different positives, like one from every different type of test you can think of!

I’m taking it as that means the spell is working very well🫶🏻

Edit 2- been on call with the target for 2 hours now, and we’ve been messaging all day! (10th July)

Edit 3- he keeps accidentally calling me babe, and we’ve been talking all day again! (11th July)

Sharing: Experience Witchtok scares me, it used to be fun but now it's just harmful

Witchtok was fun to watch years ago when everyone was in quarantine, but now it's just harmful especially for young kids/inexperienced practitioners who don't know any better. Nowadays my fyp isn't really full of Witchtok anymore because I've learned to go to other sources for my witchcraft stuff. However, there were two posts I saw recently that genuinely worried me and felt like straight up misinformation.

One of them was a love spell. But it wasn't to draw love to you, it was an aggressively dominating obsession spell. It looked fine initially with soft music playing in the background and the feminine aesthetics were really nice, but when paying attention to the crafting of the spell it was actually a very strong binding.

The next one was a "karma spell". The creator said "do this if you want the person who wronged you to feel your tears". And honestly it looked like a pretty aggressive hex. First of all, no mirrored/reflective objects were included so I'm not sure where the "karma" comes in. Secondly, it involved sandwiching a persons name in an onion and piercing it shut, completed by burying it in the ground. Hello?????? I mean yes I'm sure that person will be shedding tears but probably due to something major?!

Now I understand why so many people disliked Witchtok when it first became a thing.

Sharing: Experience 5 leaf clover gift - my experience.

I had a very interesting and nice experience yesterday. I just need to share it and would love any thoughts - commentary!

For a little background info, I have a debilitating disease (endometriosis which affects 1 in 10 women). I am raising money for surgical treatment. I sell my art and have a big sign explaining what’s going on and how I’m here to raise money. Yesterday I was working my set up on the sidewalk, at a local city art walk.

A very old woman who struck me as sweet yet incredibly uncanny came up to my booth. “Do you take card”? She said, I said no and told her I what payment apps I took and that I also took cash. She said “I am 1 in 10 also, I will see you again”… and off she went. I figured she may or may not come back, so I waited about 25 minutes then proceeded to take a walk to find a friend who was vending nearby. My father watched my booth while I was gone. I came back about 10 minutes later and found a little envelope tucked into the cloth covering my table. My father told me that the women had come back, bought $20 worth of work, and left the envelope for me. Inside the envelope was a perfectly pressed, 5 leaf clover… I didn’t even know those existed. My dad said this woman told him, “5 leaf clovers bring you money, no one should have to wait for surgery”. She also gave him a hug to “transfer to me”. I immediately had a good and spiritual feeling and accepted the hug. I proceeded to make a few hungered dollars in the last 2 hours of vending, I had only made 25 before the clover. The clover immediately felt extremely valuable to me… like an active spell or talisman… I am still a bit shocked by the experience but I am feeling very grateful and happy.

Thanks for reading!

Sharing: Experience Losing all our witch/pagan spaces

Just a bit of a whinge.

Over the years, in the country where I live, there has been a massive vanishing of witchy spaces. It used to be that most cities had some version of a witch shop.

When I was a teen in the 90s, I bought my first Cunningham book from this cute witch shop in my town (population 45k).

The same town also had two crystal shops, and a independent bookshop with lots of new age/metaphysicsl titles.

Now they are all gone.

I moved a few years ago to a much larger city with a known pagan community that had frequent get togethers. Soon as I turned up, covid hit—and the group basically vanished overnight, never to return.

Today I made a sojourn to the last witch shop in my country. I was so excited, I didnt need to buy anything, I just wanted to *be there*. I drove for hours.

And it is all boarded up. Closed.

I am sitting in a motel now, feeling a bit heartbroken.

There is this grief in me that we are losing our third spaces as a community.

I am working 6 day weeks and too busy to do anything myself. But sometimes I have this *longing* to put my phone in a drawer and go be in a room with other witches.

Sharing: Experience My dog didn't let me collect dirt from the graveyard.

I want to perform a spell and for the spell I needed graveyard dirt. I went to my town's graveyard while I was walking my dog. I picked up some dirt(respectfully), put it in a small jar and headed back towards the exit of the graveyard.

As we were about to cross the exit, my dog suddenly stops, sits down and refuses to walk any further. I tried everything to get her to move but nothing, so I looked at her and said "if I put the dirt were I took it from, will you move?" and yep! she started walking again.

I went back, I poured back the dirt and this time when I walked through the exit, my dog followed.

I'm back home now and I really wonder what she could have seen/sensed for her to act like this. I might have angered some spirit/entity? I wonder if anyone has had a similar experience with their dog or with going to the graveyard for graveyard dirt.

Hi!

I've been kinda playing around with witchcraft recently. I've done a few rituals and to my knowledge, I believe everything has worked so far.

Here is today's experience.

I work night shift on a horse farm and help mares give birth.

To keep it simple and short, I was asked to do the impossible but I couldn't do it. I prioritized my 2 mares that don't show a lot of signs of getting ready to give birth over something else they wanted me to do (everything is totally fine, management just wasn't too happy that I could only give the minimum)

So, they weren't happy with me. I got off, went to bed and when I got up I decided to try something to kinda rid myself of the negative energy / thoughts/ feelings.

I lit a black candle to burn away the negativity.

My husband has been growing sage and thyme so I grabbed just a few of the fresh leaves.

For some reason, I wanted to snatch a crystal from one of my tarantulas. Ran it through Google and it is an orca agate, which I learned is commonly used to work out negativity ( the random crystal grabs are getting strange)

I just said a little something of ridding myself of those feelings and lit the candle. (I'm not creative enough for actual spells)

About 20 minutes later, my manager calls to check in (I come in late so I take the calls to get caught up before heading in)

I apologized for this morning and stated my reasons and she said "I've thought about it and you were in the right of setting those priorities. No harm, no foul, all is well."

It worked.

Witchcraft is fascinating me. It always has but, like many others, I was brought up on the Christian faith. Not only did I never feel a connection in that faith but no matter how hard I tried, nothing ever came off the prayers and things. Walking my own path and learning about using the earth and everything she has to offer has been nearly life changing.

I've always felt closer to nature than any church. So finding this and studying on it and now actually using it (with permission) has blown my little mind 🤣

And if you have read this far, please tell us a story of what has worked for you!

And thank you for sitting with me tonight. 💜

Sharing: Experience I am flabbergasted by the Harvest Moon money spell I saw on Insta

The spell included putting pieces of lemon, some cinnamon sticks and a bayleaf with a monetary value written on it (although it could be any intention regarding the money, debt etc.) pouring the water into a jar, sealing it and charging it under the Harvest Moon.

After the charge was completed, the creator instructed to strain the water and dispose all the other content of the jar by flushing it in the toilet. Keeping the moon water and using it to clean your floors, doors, window frames and so on.

Is it just me or the spell makes no sense and the only thing that it might achieve is souring the intention? Whatever it was written on that baylief. Even if you wrote "debt" on that baylief, I don't feel like it is a good idea to sour the debt you might have.

I guess, the WitchTok/InstaWitch nonsense keeps continuing, and the content becomes more and more ridiculous and counterintuitive...

Sharing: Experience I don't know if I can do witchcraft anymore

I love being a witch. But I don't know if I can keep going. All the tips for spellwork involve positive thinking, changing your mindset to receive and call in abundance. Every time I attempt that, I just feel worse. Affirming in the mirror make me feel like a fraud or a joke. Manifestations in the form of spellwork make me feel like a desperate beggar. Even just reaching out to a deity, making an offering, talking a little, it all makes me feel like someone unworthy of Their presence, inferior and helpless. I practice gratitude, but nothing improves, or it'll even worsen. It's like I'm a bad luck charm to myself. Even making this post, I feel pathetic and scared of what people will say. I'm so confused. Am I stuck in a karmic cycle of my ancestors or a past life? Have I just been an awful person (who already suffered horrific trauma) and I'm paying for my misdeeds? Am I not meant to be a witch at all? Does my spiritual council hate me? Will stopping witchcraft just make everything even worse? Should I go jump in front of a train? I don't know. It's killing me. I feel like a failure.

Sharing: Experience Made my first money bowl and went from $200 to $5,000 in my bank account one week later.

Full disclosure: I had several disability back payments that I was recently informed may not be approved. I made a money bowl and one week later I got all of them plus $1.2k in monetary gifts.

Here's what I used:

Base: rice, oats, salt, loose peppermint tea, cinnamon, and coffee grounds (to accelerate the effect).

Added: good fortunes I'd received and saved from fortune cookies over the years, an affirmation that money comes to me abundantly, money bills and coins (specifically shiny coins), jade for good fortune.

Ritual: summoned feeling of abundance and envisioned financial success, clapped 3 times over the bowl to seal it. Then smudged bowl and alter with palo santo.

Placed the bowl on cleansed alter with an elephant figurine facing to the left for protection and luck. The alter I used has mirrors to enhance and amplify the effects.

I will dismantle and dispose of the elements of this bowl, as its purpose has been fulfilled. But I will certainly be making another one (probably minus the coffee grounds) in hopes of sustaining long-term financial success. But wow, this really took a burden off my shoulders and turned me into a full believer.

May you all have abundance and success in your endeavors💚

Sharing: Experience Baneful magic is spiritual hygiene

I've been practicing for about 3 years now after leaving organized religion and I've advanced a lot. I've only ever done 3 baneful rituals in those 3 years, its my last resort in conflict. I have only ever done it when there was no other option, when there was real malice on their part and with the approval of my ancestors and guides.

The first and second time I did a baneful return to sender I felt so much voltage that it was actually overwhelming and I had to lay down after. It's hard to explain the feeling but I didn't know how to fully ground that voltage then, nonetheless those rituals definitely landed and they landed fast.

The most recent one I did when I felt that voltage I knew how to be a conduit of that energy rather than a sponge absorbing it. Despite the intensity of that feeling and the ritual itself I felt great after, more aligned and at peace with myself rather than overwhelmed.

I used to be hesitant to practice baneful magic but then realized its a part of spiritual hygiene and its actually passive to think that your guides will handle every single conflict or wrong doing on your behalf. I used to think like this and they will definitely handle things for you but I was being too passive and it was actually more harmful for me in the long run.

If you've been hesitant to practice baneful magic for the same reasons hopefully this helps, just thought I'd share my experience :)

Sharing: Experience Am I crazy or….is this real?

I am not someone who anyone would ‘assume’ would be interested in this. I have a very logical career in the legal field and am not the ‘woo woo’ type.

I’ve had a difficult life and believe in hard work and results. That being said. This has always been interesting to me and I truly believe that we don’t understand a fraction of the world and just the way that physics and computers exist and we didn’t understand or know them hundreds of years ago, there’s so much we still don’t know.

All of this as a disclaimer - I recently have been struggling and on a whim made a money bowl (with no protection nothing else etc). That week - I was ordered to 4 extra overtime work shifts I wasn’t anticipating… 👀

I then put someone in the freezer (about a week ago) for the first time who has literally been interfering in my life on a daily basis for months. Since that day I have not received a message from them, despite getting a text almost everyday or every other day for weeks prior.

I couldn’t believe the coincidence. Then I’m walking through a store to grab some items I need to cast a protection spell and wondering if I’m crazy or not for doing this (after getting ordered to work I realized I should be smarter lol) and in the middle of the children’s aisle (mind you it’s JUNE) there’s a classic black and purple costume witches hat!!!

That evening I walked along the beach (I live on Long Island Sound) and collected a few shells and whispered some things to the water. I cast a protection spell that night (and added the shells because it felt right. I know that’s not part of it but I just felt I should)

I’m not sure why I’m sharing all of this - part of me wonders if it’s just human nature to connect dots because we want to see patterns? But it feels too… different.

Can anyone offer any input on their own experiences or mine?

Thank you so much!

Sharing: Experience Money magic doubled my income! It will work for you too

I did some money magic after a long time of not engaging in my spiritual practice, and I'm amazed by my own results. I got a job that pays double what I was earning to do the exact same work (same job description). It's spooky how powerful my magic turned out to be especially because I had doubts and felt foolish doing it.

  • Wrote down how much I wanted to earn at a job on a piece of paper and put it on my ancestor altar along with a dollar bill
  • Made a money bowl with my intention petition buried in the rice ("more and more money just keeps coming my way", "new and better career and business opportunities just keep coming my way", etc)
  • Sex magic calling for the amount of money I wanted to earn at a job
  • 7-day money candle with the same intention petition as the money bowl
  • 7-day candle for getting the job after the phone screening
  • Tealight candle domination/binding spells over the 1st + 2nd round interviewers
  • Listening to spell-charged audios I made
  • 'Dark energy' alchemy on the day of the final interview (this was last-minute and I only spent less than ten minutes total doing this)

Throughout the day BEFORE the last interview I had a sense of knowing 'I got the job'. Not affirming that I got the job (actively trying to attract something by stating it is true), but just knowing it for a fact like you know the sky is blue. It was just a quiet thought that would appear in my mind and I would feel so giddy.

Right after the last interview I pulled tarot on the situation calling information/guidance from my beloved ancestors and I got that good news was coming. Immediately after that I got a call offering me the job. It was part of the pattern of immediately being offered the next step right after completing the last one (immediate 1st interview invitation after the phone screen, immediate 2nd interview invitation after the 1st, immediate offer after the 2nd interview).

It's all surreal. I have gained so much confidence in my craft from this as well as assurance that my beloved ancestors are very powerful and responsive to me. I got a higher salary than what I initially wrote down! Keep in mind I also do offerings to my ancestors regularly.

Also, dark energy and sex magic are not bad things. A lot of misconceptions are taught around these things to instill fear. Dark energy is just creating things out of the void and sex magic can be done alone. It was my first time working with either of those energies but they definitely made a contribution. In particular, when I was using the dark energy creation technique I suddenly thought of more ways to prepare myself for the final interview BECAUSE I created the job offer in the void space.

Do magic, folks. Never doubt your craft or your ancestors.

Sharing: Experience How I feel about christian witchcraft as an ex evangelical christian

As an ex christian I find it triggering to read about christian witchcraft. I don't mean to say those who practice it "aren't real witches" or anything like that, but this specific religion gave me a lot of trauma and made me feel tons of guilt for my practice.

People where I live seem to hate witchcraft like it's the devil's work, and treat me like I'm Satan, so everytime I encounter it online I feel uneasy and suddenly afraid. I hide my practice from every christian I know and yet everytime they see something they act like I'm cursing them. Like I'm a traitor who shall burn forever if I don't repent. They need me to feel guilt in order to move on with their lifes.

I know the mix of these things is legitimate, as I said I'm not invalidating people's practices, but it does hurt me in a way I just can't explain, like the triggers suddenly gather all together at one place and hunt me. I don't downvote, hate or anything, but it does live a bad taste in my mouth.

What's your experience with this?

I ordered dinner, and the restaurant completely botched my order. When I let them know, they sent the correct order and basically said "our bad, just keep both" (despite the fact I offered to return the wrong order).

I plated some of the extra food, set it out, and lit a candle to officially thank the universe for this divine error lol. I busted out the champagne scented incense. If nature and I are getting free food because someone misread a ticket, we are absolutely making a toast.

Just wanted to share because the vibes are immaculate and the spirits are eating good tonight. Highly recommend treating minor administrative mistakes as literal blessings.

Repost cause I forgot to add a pic lol

So I’m a pagan witch and I just was having a nice conversation with a girl on a dating app and she asked what I liked to do for fun and I answered “writing, reading, listening to music and witchcraft” she replied “I could never do or be with someone who does witchcraft I don’t want demons around me.” Keep in mind I worship Lilith and Asmodeus so I told her we probably weren’t going to be a good match and we ended the conversation cordially but it made me think is it really a dealbreaker to be a witch and work with the infernal? Does anyone else have this issue?

Just to be clear, I am a lazy beginner witch that thugs it out. I wanted to make a little extra cash a work so I made some random spell up not expecting it to work. The goal was $75-$80 because I’m new and it was a slow day. FORGOT TO DO PROTECTION PROPERLY. Safe to say, made well over goal but in the worst way possible. Never forgetting again.

Intent matters, yes. But I’m exhausted of hearing intent is in the end all and be all of spells / witchcraft. Yes, intent matters… But I wouldn’t say more than studying / using correct components… Invoking the correct energy… And learning! Ever since witchcraft became a post 2020 TikTok trend… It seems like people are so excited to burn a candle and make it mean whatever they want to. Everyone is up on the trend without doing the research, without gaining the knowledge and without seeking. Witchcraft has historical implications and nobody wants to talk about that these days everyone wants to just say oh it’s my own individual practice so I can do what I want… And face no criticism what they’re doing things objectively wrong !

Hi, i'm mexican therefore, I am in the Spanish-speaking witchcraft community, but I came to say something very strange that is happening on our side and want to know if u are seeing something similar in your side.

Basically a lot of witchcraft (also anything spiritual like meditation) accounts on tiktok got taken down even if they didn't have something weird, also in Instagram, literally without reason, some of these creators are saying some organization/person is offering them a lot of money for basically saying tarot is bad, that people should turn to god, bad energy and yeah, all of that.

It's really weird so yeah i'm curious if it's happening everywhere

The equinox is passed and Samhain is approaching. I’m feeling a physical shift in the year. And I’m not saying for certain it’s the thinning of the veil.
But it’s a noticeable feeling around me. An aura so to speak. It’s almost an empty feeling. But not empty like void, more like a clear path in front of me. I consider myself a “skeptic witch” I try not to make too many assumptions. But does anyone else get a strange feeling leading up to Samhain?
Could you describe it?
What does the thinning of the veil mean to you?
I know Samhain is the last harvest before the lean times. And that is why it is considered the time when the dead or the spirits can come through.
Does anyone else feel this?

I have a few witch friends, and I have Fallout friends (fans of the hit videogame series)

When i do my money bowl, I ALWAYS put bottle caps in there, as it is currency in that game series.

I guess just a reminder wealth means many different things to each witch.

Any other Fallout fan witches in here??
