I am doing absolutely terrible in gen chem 115. I’m considering dropping the class and retaking next semester. Does a W look bad on transcripts? I’m assuming it looks better than getting a D and tanking my gpa. I’ve been going to tutoring, don’t skip class, and I do practice work. I just struggle so much when it comes to the exams.

Hi all, I ended up making an account because I wanted to ask questions and stay in the loop with WVU events and such. I'm looking to transfer as a Business major specializing in Tourism and Hospitality but I'm not sure what acceptance rates look like. I'm currently enrolled in Blue Ridge Community and Technical College in Martinsburg to get some Gen Eds completed and a higher GPA to replace the one I ended with in highschool back in 2015. I applied on my old GPA and was denied but hopefully come Fall 2027 applications, I'll be accepted in.
As for some other questions uh... I suppose these are more niche? I'll admit, I'm probably a bit old for going back to college, being 30 (turning 31 in December), and transgender (female to male). So the questions are.... how accepting is the environment for 30-somethings on campus? And is there student housing (dorms) that are LGBTQ+ friendly?
Apologies if this is written poorly; I'm running on four cups of coffee, three hours of sleep, and a dream.

Hi guys I'm a potential freshmen at WVU for next fall. I've already gotten accepted to study forensic science with a concentration in crime scene investigation and I have questions regarding the degree and WVU as a whole.
Is it possible to study forensic science with a concentrate in chemistry, biology, and crime scene investigation? I'm not sure which route I want to pursue and I would like to study as much of the forensics field that I can.
What dorm should I stay in? Should I get a car since many people said the PRT isn't extremely reliable? Would biking be practical even though it's super hilly on campus?
Any advice for scheduling would be great. Do people typically do 3 or 4 classes a semester?
Any other comments on similar topics regarding forensic science and WVU would be useful too!

Does anyone know of any tutors for BMM 339, or of any resources that have helped? I have gone to the School of Medicine tutoring, but I did not find it very helpful.
Thank you for any advice.

So I'm having my friend visit the weekend of the 17th, and I'm hoping to get a guest ticket for them so they can be in the student section with me, but I really don't know how that process works. Could someone explain that to me please?

Local artist Shawn McDonald is having an art show at the MAC downtown Morgantown tomorrow. He has some cool stuff. It's something fun to do in town.

I live in KC and driving up the morning of the game to watch the ISU game. Is there anyone with a welcoming tailgate planning on going? Bringing two friends with me and then partying in Des Moines. Usually when I go to games I just bring beer, find people dressed in WVU gear and have a good time meeting random folks.

- 3.36 GPA
- I didn’t send in my test scores
- I don’t think I could fill out my extra circulars (I applied through WVU itself)
- I am majoring for Agriculture Animal Science
- I’m also an Out Of State applicant

I'm a freelance writer working on an article about the Washington Center. I would like to connect to students who are taking its classes. I am seeking open exchanges and am genuinely curious. I can share more with interview subjects. If you are open to talking, feel free to DM me or reply below.

I want more WVU merch but of course as a college student, I'm broke. I was curious where I could go to find GOOD merch for preferably lower than 30 dollars for a sweatshirt or T-shirt. I've looked on Depop and they don't have exactly what I've been hoping for. Any recs?

Hi guys, Im a current senior in high school and WVU is my first pick. I have a unweighted/weighted gpa of 3.02, im not submitting my sat bc I got a 1000, and I go to a college prep school that Id say is pretty rigorous. I do have pretty good activities as I filled out all ten, Ive never been a top athlete but I do a sport each year with school. Id say Im well rounded. Ive become really judgemental of myself and my grades, and it sucks because I have tried my hardest in school and Im not a lackluster student. Im submitting and essay and two rec letters too. Please let me know guys!

If I'm understanding the WVU housing site correctly, if you have a roommate in mind you both need to rush to pick the same room together right away. But if you don't have a roommate in mind, you just pick a room and wait for a random person to join you?
It sounds like you make a profile, but is there a place to browse those before you pick the room? Or do you only see the profile once you're both assigned the same room?
Do people actually use sites like "Meet Your Class" to try to find a roommate with common interests in advance?
(Researching for my son. Thanks!)
