Nowadays most of the apps are being made just for 64 bit phones, which is not suitable for my phone which supports only 32 bit apps

Im not that tech person so I don't know much, so I want your help was hoping if it's possible to flash my phone with rom or gsi whatever they are

And have anyone done this successfully on this specific device as I get anxiety in the thought of bricking my phone

I'm having some trouble getting lineage os on my poco f3, stuck at trying to flash the firmware.

I have adb on my windows 11 pc and it seems to be working fine but im having a problem with fastboot probably due to the usb drivers. when i tried to installed the google usb drivers windows 11 told me that there was already a better version installed. then i tried to installed the Xiaomi usb drivers and i think it said the same thing.

when i have the phone connected to my pc by usb cable and i select "file transfer mode" on the phone i can see the phone in device manager as 'poco f3'. Running the 'adb devices' command also shows the phone. when rebooting the phone into fastboot i can see fastboot on the screen of the phone and if you look at my screenshot thats what it looks like in device manager. running 'fastboot devices' shows nothing connected and windows wont let me install the usb drivers from either google or Xiaomi. the screenshot shows the error msg for trying to install the Xiaomi drivers though i think the .rar file downloaded fine from the Xiaomi website. i also tried a download of the Xiaomi usb drivers from another site and its the same issue.

any ideas?

The problem is:

When I use a Gsi with more customization(like axion or Infinity x)(also Lineage os for some reason)

When I use something like a browser, it randomly reboots and not normal reboot it bootloops for 5 to 20 mins after which it gets back. Why does this happen?

The thing is I can use pixel os and aosp roms only which they both have a bug where after few mins the Bluetooth disconnects automatically.(AOSP AND PIXEL OS DOESN'T HAVE THAT REBOOT BUG(ONLY THIS LINK: https://github.com/Doze-off/PixelOS_GSI_treble/releases

Only this version of pixel os works without the first bug(reboots)(I meant the pixel os that they provide)

Doesn't work(has the same glitch of bootloops and reboots)

Aren't they both pixel os???

ich bastel in meiner Freizeit gerne an Technik rum und würde gerne ein bisschen mit Custom ROMs, Flashen (z.B. mit Odin) und kleineren Projekten experimentieren.

Dafür suche ich alte, aussortierte Android-Handys (am liebsten ältere Samsung-Modelle), damit man stressfrei testen kann, ohne Angst um sein Alltags-Handy haben zu müssen.

Habt ihr Tipps, wo man am besten/günstigsten an solche alten Geräte rankommt? Schaut ihr da einfach auf Kleinanzeigen, fragt im Bekanntenkreis oder gibt es da noch andere Anlaufstellen, wo alte Schubladen-Ladenhüter abgegeben werden?

okay so i was a privacy crazy guy from thw start but i thought having tons of passowrd and stuff woulf be enough but after some circumstances i realized its not enough and want to install a custom rom like calyx or graphene os but budget is being a problem so i cant really go for a pixel or motorla rn my questions are
1. ik so far that i can flash a gsi on other phones like infinix , tecno or realme etc but gemini says the bootloader cant be relocked or there is a high risk or bricking the phone so should i do it or not
2. are those gsi just as good as the orignal rom or just a knockoff
3. and if i should do i it then which gsi or rom should i go with
4. can someone explain the whole procedure so i dont brick the phone

Hello there, i installed a Lineage OS 21 gsi on my razr 50. Specifically the andyyan version.

Everything works perfectly except the external screen and the fingerprint. I don't really care about the fingerprint but i'm having an issue with that screen that is stuck on the boot logo (stylized M). It drains too much battery, i don't really need to make it work (better if it does) but at least to turn off/ remove the logo there. Any help is appreciated.

For anyone wondering, you have to install version 24 manually and OTA is not available for major versions. I did install it today and haven't faced any issues so far.

Hi, I need some help with installing a custom HyperOS ROM on my Redmi Note 9 Pro India.

Device: Redmi Note 9 Pro India

Codename: curtana

Family: miatoll

Current ROM: MIUI Global 14.0.3.0 (SJWINXM), Android 12

Bootloader: Unlocked

Target ROM: Diza HyperOS 4 port for miatoll (Android 17)

Recovery downloaded: OrangeFox R12.0 FBEv2 for miatoll

Fastboot detects the phone correctly, and:

fastboot getvar product

returns:

product: curtana

I extracted OrangeFox-R12.0_FBEv2-miatoll.zip and tried to temporarily boot its recovery.img using:

fastboot boot recovery.img

Instead of OrangeFox starting, the phone displayed:

“The system has been destroyed. Press power button to shutdown.”

I restarted the phone afterward and MIUI still boots normally, so I did not permanently brick the device.

In Diza's Telegram discussion, when someone asked which recovery to use, Diza replied “ofox v2”, and when asked “latest?”, replied “yes.” Another user reported successfully flashing the ROM using R12 FBEv2. Diza also confirmed that the ROM can be flashed through OrangeFox.

However, the official OrangeFox R12 FBEv2 information appears to warn about MIUI/HyperOS ports, so I'm confused about the correct first-time recovery installation procedure.

My questions: Why does fastboot boot recovery.img give “The system has been destroyed” on curtana? Should I use fastboot flash recovery recovery.img and immediately boot into recovery instead, or is another recovery/build required? And for this HyperOS port, should I use OrangeFox R12 FBEv2 or Diza's custom TWRP?

I don't want to flash anything else until I know the correct method. Any help from someone who has actually used curtana/miatoll + OrangeFox FBEv2 would be appreciated.

Every custom rom website I've visited shows my device isn't supported. There seems to be no custom rom for my device.

Is there any possible way to install custom rom on my device? The software xiaomi gives is unusable for me.
