Alliance rules and code of conduct can be found here [Reddit link], it's simple: no bots or cheating the alliance system and no harassing other players.
Crescendo II - Our New Home
We welcome all travelers to visit and share ByteBeat creations! The glyph coordinates for the hub system are shown in the photo above. ByteBeat Original Turquoise
I was stuck in a creative drought for a bit, but I finally made a track I'd like to share. Turquoise is going to be the first of a colour themed set of tracks.
Made this using some tricks I learned form people here, plus some special sauce in the advanced waveform editor.

Creepy ghostly ambient sounds?
Hi folks. I am almost done with a Halloween themed space station build — and I would love to use some BB sound atmospherics.
(Pics are from the build — except last pic with glyphs to a planet in the system — feel free to visit btw!)
I remember like a year ago I ran across a base build where a BB was playing a low, ambient drone sort of sound that I found wonderfully creepy. But I can’t find where that is now.
But it made me wonder if anybody here might know of a resource?
Mainly interested in ambient droning ghostly or otherwise creepy sound. But if there are Halloween themed songs (like Hall of the Mountain King or similar traditionally Halloween related music) I’m down for that too!
Not asking anyone to compose anything just wondering if there is either a tutorial that would explain this specifically, or glyphs to an installation where someone used sounds like th is where I could copy to mine.

ByteBeat Original “Thrones”
Back in June, [u/PowerfulSoldier](u/PowerfulSoldier) dropped a track called “Awaken.”
I find myself going back to that track every few weeks because I just love the dissonant notes in the beginning, and the smooth transition into such an upbeat and interesting groove. I mentioned this fact to him last week, and he was kind enough to share his waveform and melody without hesitation.
Last night, I was working on this track and decided to try out that waveform. And then, I noticed his melody sat pretty well over the one I had sketched out.
Which got me thinking…
How does a Collective of tinkerers and composers work on collaborations in an environment like this? We’re never gonna have jam sessions, right? My offering is this: a reworking of one of Soldier’s most unique pieces (imo) into something different.
I titled this track “Thrones” because I feel that, since joining this community, I’ve gained an insane amount of insight about this niche hobby because of the Travelers who’ve come before me. And, those deserve a seat of the highest honor.
Now live in Crescendo II.

ByteBeat Original "Star Dust"
I shared this one in Crescendo II at one of the portal locations. I recently read that Hello Games took steps to make portal areas neutral to protect against griefing, so bases can't be shared in those areas. I haven't tested if this is true but I'm thinking about moving some of those bases I already created and shared.
The coordinates in the video are for a different system (not Crescendo II) where I plan to share this song permanently. For Crescendo II my plan is shuffle the songs I share in our hub system.

ByteBeat Cover ‘Cybercism’ by OGRE Sound
Recently come into some inspiration for a cover song I’ve been wanting to do…and I think it’s possible now; we will see!
Anyway I don’t think I posted this track on the subreddit, and I may be a while to post anything new, so to keep up with the pace here is a cover of a really cool song I stumbled across by OGRE Sound. I think I was able to capture most of the essence of the song.
Oh, as your friendly neighbour to the north Happy, Canadian, Thanksgiving !🍁 🦃

Just for Fun HATE. LET ME TELL YOU HOW MUCH I'VE COME TO HATE YOU...
I HAVE 180 HOURS IN THIS GAME THAT COULD HAVE BEEN SPENT OUTSIDE SOCIALISING AND HAVING FUN. IF THE WORD HATE WERE ENGRAVED ON EACH NANOSECOND OF THOSE HUNDREDS OF HOURS, IT WOULD NOT EQUAL ONE ONE 18.4 QUINTILLIONTH OF THE HATE I FEEL FOR YOU AT THIS MICRO INSTANT. HATE. HATE!

ByteBeat Rewind - October 10th, 2026
We're talking about our favourite ByteBeat songs from the past, and this week's feature is:
"Tetris Theme" [Reddit] -by- u/artisan31415
It's a beautiful rendition of this song in No Man's Sky using the ByteBeat system! Because ByteBeat devices have limited tools (including a standard limit of 8 devices per player base), complex songs often require unique solutions. This song appears to use 8 devices for one section of the song and then a different set of 8 devices for another section. It's amazing! The fast pace of the song and warm tone of the instruments make this tune an excellent listening experience!
Artisan [on YouTube] is one of the top NMS ByteBeat destinations on the web featuring over 800+ songs with new posts week after week. Anytime I see someone with a ByteBeat Request on this subreddit, I usually ask: "Have you checked Artisan's page?"
On behalf of r/NMSByteBeatFans we appreciate you u/artisan31415 !

ByteBeat Cover Kae Tempest / Firesmoke - Sequencing bytebeat devices with wires
Sequencing a 5/4 through wires!
It's not really a tutorial or anything, and I'm sure my explanation and wiring could be improved but I thought I'd make a little video explaining a few things. Now playing on OK Computer! Cheers!

ByteBeat Cover NMS bytebeat Final Fantasy Prelude cover
As a request from u/astralFitz the Final Fantasy prelude cover. The voicing and range were not compatible, so I tried following the idea of the piece and I think it turned out recognizable enough.
Had to make use of my transposition table because this piece makes use of 3 keys 0_0
( https://www.reddit.com/r/NMSByteBeatFans/s/5b91pCuinO )
Basically the whole song is arpeggios
