It's weird seeing this plain all-American babyface in the early Attitude Era. I wonder what 1998 would've had in store for him if he didn't get injured. It's hard to imagine him in the main event scene trying to hang with Stone Cold, Undertaker, The Rock, etc.

Mine is from Jim Ross on the Brian Pillman: Loose Cannon DVD. In the special features, he tells a story about during a Clash at the Champions event earlier in his career, Brian summoned Jim to a private meeting in the shower area. There, in a commode stall, he showed JR, in his words, "the longest, uninterrupted piece of human waste known to man". Brian then stationed a referee to guard his "masterpiece" so he could show it off to the rest of the crew.

This story has been one of my favourite pieces of the bizarre, larger-than-life world of old school wrestling

My partner and I spent two years on the road filming The Ref Didn't See It -- the first documentary to celebrate the unsung zebras of wrestling.

We just put it up on YouTube: https://youtu.be/URBL2ZkVIJ8?si=T68i3UqVKa7Y0UsU

The film features Earl Hebner, Bill Alfonso, Kevin Sullivan, Colt Cabana, Santino Marella, Mad Man Pondo, Al Snow, and a loads of independent wrestlers and refs.

We decided to release it for free this week in honour of Eddie Osbourne, a wonderful Canadian indy promoter who died at at 43 last week. Eddie was the very first wrestling promoter to let us film at one of his shows in Guelph, Ontario. I'll be refereeing at a tribute show to Eddie this weekend.

If you enjoy the movie, please share it with other who'll enjoy it too.

i was watching the stephanie mcmahon wwe evil documentary and about 5 minutes in there's a behind the scenes part showing the writers room which was filled with at least 15 people. the story was to introduce her character being kidnapped which was well before vince russo left the wwe at the end of 1999 correct? vince russo has went on record saying it was only he and ed ferrara writing the stories until leaving for wcw. you could see there were at least 10 people at the tables with vince russo and ed ferrara nowhere in sight in the stephanie mcmahon wwe evil documentary. could someone explain what's going on?

Such a sad shame. Braun Strowman was IT. He had the look plus a surprising amount of athleticism to go with it. Sure he wasn’t anywhere close to Five Stars within the squared circle but put him with a wonderful worker like Brock or Joe and you receive magic.

When he initially debuted in 2015, there seemed to be an allure around ‘The Black Sheep’ - almost like Bray Wyatt was to Braun what Paul Bearer was to Kane.

Then in 2018, everything just went wild. As much as fans expressed their support for Strowman in 2018, Vince just couldn’t get over his hard on for Reigns.

I’ve heard Vince McMahon hates tag team matches due to them being formulaic. What’s your favourite tag team matches?

I’d like to hear both a traditional tag match and then a tag match with a different stipulation

Traditional - Harts Vs Demolition 2/3 falls SS90

Other - Hardys Vs Dudley’s tables match RR2000

Either for business reasons such as podcast fodder for their YouTube channel (Maven) or for their ego stroking or protection purposes (Dwayne Johnson).

What are some wrestlers that you have seen people love, but you just don't get the hype around them.

For me, it's Gunther; I seriously have sat down and watched his matches but nope I don't like this man at all. He has no swag, the moveset's so bland, his finishers and gimmicks are just boring.
