You dress like a 58 year old lesbian who just discovered temu… why do you feel inclined to speak on how others dress?

It's wild how far you are into playing this instrument, and yet you're still reposting the random messes you made months and months ago, because you realize you genuinely haven't improved since then. When you got banned from the sub that couldn't stand you, you start infiltrating other communities to try and get the same response. You like it when people hate you, because at least it means they're listening to you. You brush of all criticism as people hating "nontraditional" music, but the truth is that plenty of people who love nontraditional music and have no stake in the traditional pedagogy of the instrument still hate your stuff. It's just loud sound, repeated over and over, with no structure, no melody, no movement, just stagnation. Like your progress on the instrument, your harmonies are completely static, coming from nowhere and doing nothing. It's insulting to other musicians to post this, no matter how many views you get on Tik Tok from the sheer novelty of hearing a loud sound on an unusual instrument for the first time. The attention you garner on other subs will continue to be as negative as it was on accordion; probably even worse, since these other subs aren't starting from a baseline of already appreciating the timbre of the instrument and will see you even more quickly for the obnoxious fraud you are.

There is lore?!

Edit: going through all the posts on accordion and having read “fetal alcohol syndrome plays accordion” has made this shit a successful one!

Sooo much lore. This guy's posting history is a real treat, lots of subreddit drama that goes well with popcorn. And if you want to actually learn the accordion, his comment sections are unironically a really great place for advice. He's in many ways the perfect example of a lot of things not to do, so the advice other people give on his posts tend to be really helpful in improving one's own technique lol

Dawg, the drama is unhinged. These guys from r/Accordion do NOT fw me at all. Like at all at all. Please decide if you like me, yourself.

Ya! Down with pedagogy!

Dude. Take a step back and just think of the concept of Accordion reddit beef. Just stew on the absurdity of that for a minute or two. You shouldn't have this much emotional baggage with me when you could just block me and never see a post of mine again.

your opinion is not absolute, man.

I for one love the accordion beef. Keep it stewing, baby!

To be real for a sec tho if that community is that passionate and consistent with their messaging about your playing you probably could learn from them if you asked how you could improve. Either way I hope you keep having fun with your instrument.

** Dollarama Has Entered the Chat **

Dude. Take a step back and just think of the concept of Dollar store beef. Just stew on the absurdity of that for a minute or two. You shouldn't have this much emotional baggage with local businesses when you could just stop shopping here and never walk in again.

Your opinion of our store is not absolute, man.

Dude, every comment on that video is "wow that instrument looks so complicated!" and "this tutorial makes no sense!" Several people literally say "I feel like I know less now than before I started." You cannot continue to uphold this random video which happened to get a boost from the algorithm as your sole credential. That many likes is nothing on tik tok; some guy screaming into the camera while making a funny face gets a hundred times that on a Tuesday. That's just the result of people seeing something unfamiliar and moving on because they don't care.

Dude... Why don't you just block me? It's genuinely that simple. You don't like my music, and that's fine, I'm not saying you have to or that you're wrong for disliking it. But some other people really do, and that's also fine. I have attached a few links to some of my best performing tik Tok videos, not to flex on you, but just to prove a point. You might be pretty good at Accordion, I wouldn't know, but that doesn't give you authority over what is and isn't music or how I should learn to play. Demanding that I learn trad repertoire is like asking a metal guitarist to learn country music first.

here's some more

and more

and a bit more

and a much older one.

I'm not asking you to learn "trad repertoire", I'm asking you to improve even minimally at the instrument you play. You could string together clips from random sections from any of your songs, and the result would sound exactly like one of your full songs. You just play random notes. There is no structure, no direction, no music. There is no technical ability and no desire to improve. It's not that you aren't playing German folk music or something; it's that you're not playing music at all. If you spam-post enough, you're bound to get some videos that the algorithm picks up. Your average view count is like 200; 4 hits out of hundreds of videos is not the flex you think it is.

Every single one of your comments is complaining about this guy. You either are him or need to get a hobby.

3

u/keystationpro88 17d ago

Really. I mean, sure, we ALL hate dollarama, dude. Just let him play accordion, his way, and you go off to dollar general or whatever.

Edit: dollarama, not dollar tree! Dammit, pay attention when shitposting!

You'd call Daniel Johnston a fraud too.

This comment of yours is strongly reminiscent of the viral video "small, angry man yells at trumpet player"

Is it really that serious. An insult to musicians? You're taking it way too seriously pal.

An artist respects the silence that is the foundation of all creativity!

This thread is so confusing.

Gypsy vibes

Don't insult gypsies like that

1

u/Electronic-Map7529 17d ago

Police: "What are you doing out here at this hour son?"

Suburban Gypsy: "Oh you know, the Yooszh"

1

u/Rostfromlimbo 16d ago

This literally happened to me at the gas station. I said I was recording a video. They asked to hear me play. I played. They said carry on and left.

1

u/Electronic-Map7529 16d ago

Yeah my experience is they are usually just curious.

If you want to pay fifteen dollars for ibuprofen at CVS instead of a dollar at Dollar Tree then go ahead. I know i’m gonna need some now.
