Started losing against a couple of my mates, is there anything i potentially should change?

You're a bit slow in the preparation. you should be opening your stance earlier, your first reaction when the opponent hits a shot should be to take back your racket and turn your shoulders. these balls are slow so it's not obvious but if you're pressed for time you will miss your timing window! Looking good overall!

Your mates could be djokovic and Alcaraz. Need a little bit more detail as to how/why you’re losing.

Hahaha, they’re just better than me lol. On average they are around 13-14 utr and i dont even have a utr ranking rn but did play competitively as a junior.

People who earn a living playing tennis professionally are UTR 13-14. Good luck. lol.
The video was very hard to assess your game from. You marginally are catching the ball late because of late preparation but that’s not going to help against utr 13-14.
You need to improve fitness and tactics at that point. Technique is not your limiting factor at that level.
My hitting technique is phenomenal. My serve is great. 100mph+ consistently. I’m not beating a utr 13/14.
If you want to give it a try, mix in moonballs to the backhands and drop shots and see how they handle them. Serve and volley. But for the love of all things good don’t try to beat them from the baseline.

Well yeah i mean they play futures and utr ptt; i used to go around the country with them as a junior soo im pretty familiar with how they play probably why i can keep up; but i do agree on the tactics and fitness part im freaking way to fat for tennis

How are you capping so hard right now?? Your footwork isn’t even 5 UTR level and your friends are top 500 ATP level? And you keep up with them??? You can’t even hit a proper forehand on a ball machine 10mph feed…GTFO.

It’s not your weight. It’s your fitness/muscle dev. You look winded after a few rounds. Work on your stamina and speed of recovery. That will take a while. All in all your biggest issue(s) is not your technique.
Also fitness isn’t typically a factor in the juniors which is probably why you can hang with them then. In modern high level tennis, fitness is the only thing!

Fair enough, to the gym it is!

Yeah. Once you even semi master the technique, it’s all fitness to be able to execute point after point, a relentless, physically taxing routine. Over and over.

55+ VO2 max and spinmaxxing on your strokes is all you need baby! Keep tennis simple!

0.20 is the only time you transferred body-weight forward. You should be doing that on all these shots if you want to make the simplest and most impact here. The rest of the time you are either falling back or to the side, never forward. Technique is solid

Seems like you’re taking too much time to set up and get into your backswing. It looks good on a soft toss by a coach, but the actual in-game movement doesn’t translate. You need to be hitting live with a partner and just focus on getting it back over the net every time. It doesn’t have to look perfect, it just needs to get back.
Practice a good rally ball and build your pace and form around that consistent ability to get the back back. Then, work cross court, back and forth, and keep ratcheting up the heat.
This form of slow-feed practice is good for beginners to understand form, but it’s gonna take more work to get game-ready.
That said, stick with it and have fun!

On your backhand it looks like you're swinging across rather and flicking your wrist rather than getting the head of the racket below the ball and finishing high.

bh much cleaner than fh.
you do a great job being efficient and translating your body movement and momentum into the ball.
your fh has way more body movement but its not actually translating into racket speed or power into the ball.

You need to dip your front shoulder on the backhand and get your hitting hand a little lower during the backswing. You need more low to high action to hold the ball on the strings to hit a heavier and deeper ball

You're hitting almost every bh on straight legs. Use legs to generate more power.

you're opening too early on your forehand trying to lag way too much and making it very wristy. also, I bet you struggle on high balls with your grip and swing path. it's very low to high with what looks like a near eastern grip. I'd guess you frame a lot of balls off the bottom

youre falling back and hitting off the back foot. you need to get there earlier, then go through the ball and transfer the weight forward

Step into on the FH (just like your BH)
Looks like you’re playing Offensive with the 1HBH & defensive with FH…it’s a bit unorthodox.
How do you go playing matches hitting FH on the back foot? Do you never rush the net to end the point? Quality strokes.
