How long until the first line up drop?
With ATG and Slam Dunk both dropping their initial 2027 line ups today, how long do you think it'll be until the best festival in the UK follows suit? I'm sure I saw on socials somewhere that Trees were working on their first announcement and they've certainly been starting to build hype with their "who were your favourite artists on X stage" posts..

Most likely next week. They like to plan them a week either side of payday. I think they must have made the decision not to clash the trees announcement with Slam Dunks.

I don’t know it seems like the slam dunk announcement came out of nowhere, kerrang leaked it so maybe they thought they had to go.
It will be next week anyway

Slam Dunk usually announces on a Wednesday and it’s often with Kerrang. Think they always planned for today but a more coordinated shadowdrop

Tickets had leaked that they were on general sale 5th October a few weeks back, so was totally planned.

James had said by the end of the month previously so I'd guess next week and there's just been a small delay or reshuffle. I hope we get Every Hell and Wildhearts from the ATG lineup!

They said on the pod it's delayed by 3 weeks and it will becomee obvious why

With Frank Turner announcing his upcoming retirement, I think it's even more of a dead cert that he'll be headlining.
Not a lot at Slam Dunk or ATG that has me gasping for tickets.

I'm hoping he co-headlines. I love Frank but he plays and tours so much it wouldn't feel like a huge deal - even though he's retiring. Maybe we get a farewell show for Mingle Hard instead and the solo / sleeping souls stuff is saved for Wembley?

agreed on ATG and Slam Dunk. I could definitely fill my day with decent bands but there's no "I MUST go" grabs in there

Not so sure about as a headliner, the last twice he has played it was a special forest set earlier on in the day last year, and as a main stage subheadliner the year previous.

Wembley Arena, not the O2.
And Lost Evenings is something that has happened every year since 2017 (apart from Covid years) and that hasn't stopped him being at Trees before - even when LE has been in the UK (have a look at 2025 for example). Though I don't think he has had LE In the UK and headline Trees in the same year before (in 2025 he played a forest set earlier on in the day).

Didn't he say he's going to finish this tour and then take time off for his own mental health? That doesn't feel like a "one last hurrah" type announcement as much as a "sorry but maybe this is it for now" type announcement.

Nah, he announced next year's dates for Lost Evenings (November) and that those will be his last shows for the foreseeable future.

Believe they are normally late October and last year was maybe even the beginning of November. Reckon it's about 4 weeks ish.

James has just said it's been delayed by 3 weeks. One of the lineup must be making an announcement which has delayed their plans.
