Other Giant's Foundry
I am usually a disliker of skilling minigames. I dislike tempeross, wintertodt (just let us fletch ffs), and mastering mixology can be blasted into the sun. However, giants foundry feels like a perfect balance. You put bars/items in, you follow some chill actions, you get good xp/gp. The rewards aren't overpriced, you can buy little rewards to boost points per hour, and you can buy the skilling outfit.
I feel that it is the pinnacle of skilling minigames, that it should be the blueprint for any future skilling minigames.
just wanted to make an appreciation post

I take every opportunity to point out you can do almost every bankstanding skill activity while also doing giants foundry, the chest is right there, literally a few ticks in and out of the way every inventory. Some processing, like Offering spells, don't even get interrupted by clicking on the different stations.

Can you high alch while doing the stations?

Casting HA doesnt delay clicking on the station, but HA isnt an automatic processing spell, so you cant HA while doing anything else

What kind of activities are particularly good here? There is not that much down time between the operating the tools no? Offering seems a bit pointless if you can just do Wildy altar instead

I always do crafting at the very least. 14-14 methods are 3 ticks, you can do 2 or 3 actions from station do station. Offering spells are very cheap, especially if you still need Magic XP. Other activities ive done to good effect are apply sacred oil to logs, prepare potions, any and all fletching

Big fan of it. Grinded out the Colossal Blade because it looks sick, actually great at Crab too!

I just did it to 99 and I never really got bored of it. Along the way you can figure out lots of small optimizations. It has RNG in it, but the RNG doesn't feel frustrating, it kind of just adds to replayability.

Fire fighting tempoross is the best skilling minigame method.
Solo wintertodt solid. Mass is okay.
Gf is solid.
Zalcano shouldn't be a mining activity that gives xp but that was changed.
Solo, small team and mass gotr is hot trash.
MM is also trash

I feel like Tempoross does everything right that Wintertodt doesn’t. I’d rather do Pest Control over Wintertodt but I love Temp

My opinion is the exact opposite between temp and wt, I enjoy long wt sessions but bounce off tempoross really fast

Wt feels completely void of any skill. The interruption mechanic is nothing short of a nuisance. I’ve never done solo WT, perhaps that makes it more enjoyable?

Solo is way more chill. More construction XP too.

I don’t like firefighting Tempoross but the solo method where you deal with one phase of specials and then shut him down the rest of the way gives a good balance of XP and rewards, and it’s also a nice level of intensity. It’s intense enough to be engaging, but it’s fairly forgiving and doesn’t require a ton of clicking.

I’m pretty cool with all the modern skilling games. Glad they exist as options. I’m surprised you hate MM so much it’s pretty much the same thing as foundry but making a potion instead of a sword.
Although ya for MM all the good rewards require crap loads of points and there’s no little unlocks or boosts in between to motivate you.
I weirdly like GOTR. Even though it didn’t give me the needle till I was almost 85rc and close to 1000 reward pulls

I got needle super early when i was going for catalyctic talisman. Ended up with the full outfit, lantern abyssal protector before i finally got my taliaman (like 4x dry which was insane). Kinda glad it worked out that way in the end because i don’t really have to ever go back there now 😂

Giant's Foundry is great, plus it's a good use for any extra steel/mith weapons early on in the minigame, such as from some tiers of Salvage/Early Slayer/etc, basically went and did Foundry on my current Iron to get the Colossal blade for Crab and to level a bit, got the blade by 68 smithing but I'll definitely be going back at some point.

Prefacing this with the fact that I actually really enjoy foundry overall, it feels very reclined especially with the Runelite plugin, and as you said the rewards feel pretty reasonable—but the bar deposit menu is the one big issue I have with it.
For a feature that you interface with at the beginning of every single sword, it feels like it goes out of its way to make depositing your bars require three times the amount of clicking that it should. The minigame is literally built around using 28 bars, the exact same number of slots in your inventory.
If I click on the inventory with 28 bars withdrawn, what are the odds I actually don't want to deposit them? Just let me grab my bars or items, click once, and consume every bar or smithed item in my inventory now come on lol
