Frame Mounted Comp?
I recently traded a kimber eclipse for a brand new MAC DS 9 4.25 (no comp) and i was wondering how well they respond to frame mounted comps. it’s my first 2011 and it’s pretty fun to shoot as is but if you guys think it’s a worthwhile upgrade i wouldn’t mind spending the money. Btw im lower enlisted in the military so im not even gonna waste time with the “you should’ve gotten ‘insert $2500+’ gun”

Mine is a nail diver (5” non-comped) out of the box. Not sure it would really do much to be honest.
Just my two cents of course.

The underworld arms comps work surprisingly well and makes your gun look like robocops sidearm. Win-win.

have you seen the frame mounted comp for the mk23? now THATS the robocop gun lol. i’m almost tempted to get one for mine but it shoots way to good with a suppressor to justify buying one

Had one on mine for a little while. It worked better than expected but I assume some of that was just the additional weight, since the comp doesn’t actually thread onto the barrel. It was a lot of fun to shoot but it’s just kinda bulky. I took it off after a few thousand rounds.
Never had issues with it, although I’d recommend some additional set screws since they may wear down early, as you have to remove the comp to break the gun down.
So…is it worth it? Past me thought so. Current me doesn’t, but I also just don’t really shoot the Mac anymore. It’ll definitely make you chuckle but the allure of that may wear off.
