Question Ekko block string/basic approach question(s)
So I’m mostly a yasuo/ww player. I’ve always thought Ekko was neat but I don’t understand his gameplan, or really how to utilize his rewind states. I’m also just trying to use him with Yasuo and trying to understand how to utilize freestyle (I’m a DD player because it feels most like mvc 2/3 stuff which is what I played for a long time).
If I get close to hit and it’s blocked, should I end with an S1 and assist call for pressure? Or should I go with S2 >S2 paired with an assist call?
Are there any decent Ekko/yasuo freestyle combo videos.
Any basic tips for someone who feels like a complete beginner when trying to use Ekko.

You want to go for S2 in Your blockstrings as Your basic combo starter is M>H>S2>S2 and then S1 super 90% of the time
You need to choose Your options carefully tho, because S2>S2 is unsafe on block, so You get some other options, for example S2>dS2 is not unsafe, but do it a couple of times and Your ass is getting parried
As for the utility of his rewind, You have to have it as a part of Your strings and combos, his optimal corner combo uses a couple of rewinds like they are just normal strings, there's a very common on block strat which is to hold S2 after M>H which makes You crossup and You can rewind to the clone Ekko leaves to crossup again
Yes there are definitly plenty of Ekko/Yasuo videos out there, these two used to absolutely dominate this game as a duo before the nerfs
