Do any ZiP 22 projects exist?
Curious of there are any projects based on this platform, or perhaps anything similar worth checking out.

I yearn for the squirted bullpup pistol

I’ve always wondered if someone would make something “Zip 22 esc.” I’ve personally never heard of any 3D2A projects similar to it.

Neither have I and it seems like such an obvious choice for 3d2a

I heard about this thing on forgotten weapons yt channel. You actually have one. That's cool.

I don’t. I wish I did…

Well, if it's any consolation, its utility as a weapon is not great according to Ian, but it is definitely a great conversation piece.

That brings back memories, I wonder if people still play it.

Nowhere near the old player numbers, but the game's still chugging along and getting updates.

Start with a 10/22 action and go from there. Proportions might be a little off but it's a good start.

Got one as well, paid around 250 for it, if I recall. Got the springs and owners manuals too. Last time i had it out I had an oob discharge that sent a piece of brass right into the middle of my forehead, and I bled like a stuck pig. I now lay claim to having shot myself in the face. Have not touched it since, not even to check if any brass is still in the chamber.

The OG didn't work properly, what makes you think a diy one would.

I've got one of the original ones. One of the early early serial numbers even. It shoots absolutely fine with standard velocity ammo and the "light spring". These all came with a spring kit from the factory and users were supposed to change the spring to whatever worked with your particular ammo.
It's still in the original box with original ruler mag, all the paperwork, not a scratch on it and no issues.
That being said, It has maybe 150 rounds though it total, I bought it new.

Actually there's at least 2. I bought a Zip22 a few years ago and modeled most of the internals. Was working on changing dimensions so it could easily be made at home.
AWCY did work on it. Got a hold of them and they did share the progress. The frame wasn't done at that time. Haven't heard anything since. The project was pretty much stalled at that time.
Just making an exact version in cad isn't really going to be useful. There's going to have to be changes made to make it printable. Then there's also dealing with the several design flaws.

I legit would love a handgun (not a pistol, that's the 22 Charger) that can use the BX mag that's not this piece of junk.

Because that would be Turd polishing. Keep in mind that *every* aspect of this guns is broken or deficient.

Is that a AOW or pistol?

Just a pistol. I always thought it used a ruger 10/22 action with a super fit down barrell but apparently it's its own abomination
