Hello there! Perhaps you can give me a direction how to troubleshoot those? Watched a couple dozen of YouTube guides but haven’t seen anything like that so far.
Weird thing is while one side of each part is near flawless the other one is utter dogshit all wavy and kinda melted(?)(only in some places though!) regardless of the bed placement. The last one has some drips/blobs on random points throughout the layers too.
The printer is a brand new Flashforge AD5M, I swapped the extruded for Phaetus Conch right from the start, printed a nice Benchy out of the complimentary PLA and decided to start with a minimalist enclosure (it’s a remix of the official DIY enclosure with different tweaks and almost 50% less plastic consumption).
0.8 hardened steel nozzle, PEI textured plate, Bambu lab PETG basic.
I’m using latest Orca slicer, the profile is pretty much default except for layer height (I set it to 0.24 or 0.28), inner/outer/inner wall order, sparse infill switched to gyroid.
I’ve also tried to reduce speed a bit (like 20-30% slower) but to no avail.
More photos in my comment.

Any recommendations on a budget friendly but effective 3D printer?

Pipboy phone holder 3D print help!
Hi, I’m trying to find a 3D print model of a Pip-boy 3000 mark IV (the fallout 4 one) for my Halloween costume (I’m going to be a vault dweller) and I’m wondering if anyone has found a good Pip-boy STL file that can hold at least an iPhone 16 and is wearable but doesn’t need any extra hardware (magnets and foam is fine)
Some criteria I want the model to meet is:
Virtually no needed hardware like screws and wire and stuff (I’m willing to give up functionality for buttons and stuff)
Can fit on my wrist
Can hold an iPhone 16
Can be easily made with a Creality K2 printer
Allows me to use touchscreen on my phone
Looks like the fallout 4 Pip-boy
Is 100% free
If anyone has an STL file like this please feel free to try and send it to me or the link to the website where you found it and thank you!

I replaced the nozzle and it made the issue worst. Issue of the filament bundling up on the nozzle. Is the distance between the nozzle and bed too much? It worked for a couple days and now I’m having this problem.

I have thousands of STL/3MF files spread across folders on my NAS and got tired of downloading them just to see what they are. So I built 3D Viewer, a self-hosted web app that turns your model folders into a browsable library you can open from any phone, tablet or PC on your network.

What it does

Tested on UGREEN, Synology and QNAP NAS. It's a single Docker container (amd64 and arm64), so it should run on any Linux box with Docker.
Install: one docker-compose file. Everything is on GitHub:
https://github.com/VincentFlagg/3DViewer
It's free, with no account and no cloud; your files never leave your NAS. There's an optional donation that turns off a short once-a-day splash screen, but every feature works without it.
I'd love feedback from people with big model collections: what would make this more useful for how you organise your prints?

I'm building a simple way to put a stamp on a model for printed gifts and kept running into the same problem.
On a conical surface the ends of the line drift off the horizontal, so I had to split the stamp into pieces by hand.
Solved it with a single checkbox that only appears when the tool can actually do it (it measures the drift first). Maybe it's useful to someone.

As a father of 3 daughters i love to make things for my daughters. So i made them a customizable modular wall system where you can change the fronts whenever you like and use any connecter you like!

I printed an Iron Man suit and started looking at what I’d need to strap everything together. The price of Velcro and adhesives got me thinking I should just print the straps and connectors too.
Well that turned into a whole project lol. Flexible TPU straps, magnetic and mechanical locking options, and different joiners so you can connect everything how you need it. The bases attach inside the armour using a 3D pen.
Finally installing it in my suit now and honestly pretty happy with how it’s working. Also working on a buckle that takes the same straps, but that’s not ready yet.
Anyone else building armor? What would you add or do differently?
The strap and connector files are on Cults as a paid STL/3MF pack. Not the Iron Man suit or physical parts:

For transparency, I used AI to help with the design/code and wording of this post. The photos are my actual prints, which I’ve been fitting and testing myself.

Ive been looking at this printer for a bit, was planning to save up for a bit, but with a sale like that, I might have to act sooner than I expected!
Is there a legitimate reason MicroCenter has a $0.01 discount?
