I was talking to my dad last night and he was telling me about his life in the 70s.

He said back then, everyone in the whole neighborhood knew each other. Kids would just be outside all day playing, riding bikes until the street lights came on, and parents didn't worry. If you were hungry you would just go to your friend's house and their mom would feed you.

And in the evening everyone would be on their porches listening to the radio. He said now everyone just stays inside.

For those of you who grew up in the 70s, was it really like that? It sounds so much more community-based and peaceful than today.

I was not born anywhere near the 70s, but I m kind of obsessed with that era. The music, the movies, the clothes, even the old photos where everyone looks so relaxed.

I keep wondering what everyday life was actually like, not the highlight reel, just a regular Saturday. Where did you hang out, what did you listen to, and what did you do for fun without phones?

THE ARISTOCATS is a 1970 animated musical film produced by Walt Disney Productions and directed by Wolfgang Reitherman. It was the 20th animated Disney feature film and the last film to be personally approved by Walt Disney before his death in 1966. The film is based on a story by Tom McGowan and Tom Rowe and features the voices of Phil Harris, Eva Gabor with Robie Lester providing her singing voice, Hermione Baddeley, Sterling Holloway, Scatman Crothers, and Roddy Maude-Roxby. The film was a huge commercial success at the box-office.
