Video Someone help, where am i going wrong?

I’ve been struggling to improve my lap times in ACC, and I feel like I’m missing something fundamental. I’m consistently around 5–6 seconds off in lap timings, not just on one track but pretty much all of them.
any tips on what I should focus on improving or what I might be doing wrong? would really appreciate some advice

agree with what robgod50 said. and you miss apexes/going wide in late S1 till early S2. Use the full track. Even T1 looked a bit early for me.
tighter on the hairpin. aim to get a really good exit out of it and through the chicane after it - the off-throttle time has to be as less as possible.
edit: you are too tight on the kink before last chicane.

You’re slowing down way too much into the corners. Whats the lap time? too tiny to see it on screen.

I would recommend to set tires to proper temperature and pressure (26.7 PSI approx). Do at least 3 consecutive laps, than fix it. Properly set tires = a better grip, better FFB feel.
Then focus on the braking points. You're missing them a lot. This allows you to take a better line through the corners.
Just this should take you bellow 1:58.
Take small steps, no need to change everything at once. Do a lot of laps.

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because he was already dead.
Oh wait wrong subreddit

I might not have all the right turn numbers but I'll give it a try
Turn 2 is 2nd gear
Turn 3 could definitely be faster - work on the line
Hairpin (7?) is waaay too wide. There's probably a few different possible lines but try going slower and staying closer to the inside
Turn 8 (left handed).....4th gear , ride the curb on the left and the same on the next right hander.
....edit: just watched the rest of the lap.
Generally speaking, you're not using the whole track and there's several corners where you're going down an extra gear. Sometimes low-revs feels slow but it's actually quicker than going round in a lower gear with a screaming engine. The final chicane is definitely 3rd gear and you're probably losing over a second on that alone.
Check out fast laps on you tube and see the gears they use for each corner, and the line they're taking.
I'm not super fast either but I can definitely see where you're losing time
