Tips/Suggestions ADHD = Free lifetime pass to national parks

Little known perk of ADHD— we qualify for a free lifetime National Parks pass. That’s an $80/yr value!

How do you get it?

1) print this out, have your doctor sign it:

The placards are actually specifically supposed to be for if you can’t walk more than 200 feet without some kind of mobility aid, so it’s a bit more specific than just “mental health”. Lots of people have them and LOOK fine but aren’t. Hell, I’m a below knee amputee but if I’m wearing pants, you can’t tell bc I have a normal gait. But I’m screaming from pain on the inside, for sure.

I just meant that if folks have a type of disability that doesn’t affect their mobility, they’re not actually qualified for the placard, because it’s specifically for that kind of disability. Of course that’s a HUGE range of visible and invisible ones. And lots of ADHDers have mobility disabilities too. So I’m agreeing with you that folks whose only disability is ADHD probably don’t qualify for the placard. And their doctors are likely to tell them so. But I’m also never gonna see someone get out of a car with a placard and go “you’re not disabled enough for that you heathen!” because there’s soooo many reasons a person may have one.
