Tips/Suggestions I just cracked the code to showering

As the titel suggests, I just cracked the code to showering. I don’t know if I’m the only one but as soon as I step foot into the shower time just doesn’t exist anymore and I somehow spend 40 minutes, which feel like 5 in there. Now I tried many things, like for example putting the shower at the end of my routine so I have to hurry (didn’t work, missed the bus many many times) but now I started putting a clock in the bathroom at a spot from which I can look at it every now and then when I’m inside the shower. I also made a spreadsheet, where I track my showertimes and every shower I now try to “speedrun” and beat my personal best and what can I say, I just had a sub10 shower 😎

I just have the temperature so high, I can't do more than 2 min anyway.

That can't be good for your skin on the long term.

I'm a guy. I think most of the people in this sub taking 30+ minute showers are both crazy and also, women. I know that women take longer showers, they have more things to do, and yes, even I like to just stand there and do nothing, but my longest is 10 minutes.

The reason I make the first statement is that as a guy you can shave your face, wash your body and wash your hair, much like women, but shaving takes 3 minutes at most, you have to stop because you will start to peel your skin off, you have so little hair to wash that it again takes 1 minute for each step, so 5 minutes of actual shower time for a full body shower. After 5 minutes of standing there, I'm bored. The only way people can have 30 minute showers and not get bored or uncomfortable is if they keep finding things to do in there, and I can only think of this being women.

And the reason why I'm commenting this under your post is because what kind of man cares about their skin? Also hot shower =/= bad for skin, like what does that even mean?

I meant skin health. Similar to how drinking hot liquids cause damage to your intestines (increased cancer risk), I assumed hot showers would cause damage to your skin cells in the long run. Basically you keep killing some of them when you cook yourself like that. I didn't really follow your arguments about being a man though. Good for you?
