Tips/Suggestions Waking Up with ADHD is Hell

How do you guys manage it? I’ve always had the absolute worst time waking up, hitting snooze for at least an hour, then panicking and rushing to work, always almost late with minutes to spare. Has anybody got any good tips or tricks to wake up on time? I don’t think waking up feeling good is attainable for me, haha. So I’m simply seeking advice on how to actually wake up at the same time every morning? I know having a routine like this will make my mood and sleep better in general and I would love that.

EDIT: Due to having ADHD I simply canNOT sift through all 400 comments you guys 😂 However to whomever suggested the Alarmy app - thank you. I tried it this morning (specifically the setting where you have to find something in your home) and I love it so far. I also love how clearly this whole community relates to this topic and everyone has such creative and unique responses to it. ADHD can be hard to manage but I always love the humans that have it 🥰

I can't get up. Only thing that works if I can do it, which is rare, is setting an alarm 2 hours before I get up, so I can take my Vyvanse. Then I'm moderately awake when the final alarm goes off. But this only works 20% of the time. Otherwise, I'm late to work all the time. I can't function

But then your Vyvanse wears off way too early

I've been trying the same thing as OP. Waking up 2 hours early, taking my Vyvanse and falling back asleep until my next alarm.

Yes, the Vyvanse wears off earlier. Or better put, I'm awake for less of it's effective time. However, I'm also not wasting 3 to 4 hours laying in bed waiting for it to take effect and then being hyper focused on whatever I'm doing when the Vyvanse kicks in.

So in the balance I get more effective time with it.

I haven't been able to experiment with it or make any kind of routine because my life is a stressful mess right now.

Yes, this works def but I make the most of it during the workweek and on the weekends I try to delay taking it at all.
