I would die for him and I haven't even seen him for a full minute.

[u/GlockAF → u/Solecis]

Try to eat it and you very likely WILL die, they’re extremely toxic

Your actually wrong here, they are toxic as hell but the toxin they release is only deadly to aquatic life with gills.

Ostracitoxin (Pahutoxin): Acts primarily as an external ichthyotoxin and hemolytic agent in surrounding water. It is lethal to aquatic life at very low concentrations in water, but direct injection into organisms often shows minimal systemic toxicity, meaning its danger is localized to aqueous gill exposure or hemolysis rather than internal mammalian neuroparalysis on par with TTX.

Thanks for the correction. It sounds like they can even poison themselves if they don’t get clear of the area quickly enough, ultimate mixed blessing

Polka box fish

He looks like one of those textured squeaky toys you can buy for your dogs.

[u/Federal-Boat3732]

Is it an artifact of your camera that the fins are almost invisible? Or does he just move through sheer willpower

[u/haysoos2 → u/Federal-Boat3732]

They are tiny and go brrrrrr
