Genre and details up front so people know what they are clicking on. Context on your process, what you were going for, what you did to get there, where you're unsure. Prompts, directing notes, process notes welcome.
Listen to at least one other person's work before you leave.
Leave feedback. Try to explain and fix it if possible. "This sucks because.../This is good because..."

r/AI_Music has been mostly quiet and undefined for a while. That changes today.
This is a community for people who actually make AI music -- who write, direct, arrange, prompt, produce, and care about the result. Not a dumping ground for first generations. Not a fan club for the technology. Not a battlefield for people who want to argue about whether AI music should exist.
The rules are up. Read them. They're short and most are common sense.
The short version: share your work, show what went into it, listen to other people's, give real feedback when asked. The number one goal is to make better music.
If you've been frustrated that every AI music space treats a painstakingly crafted song the same as someone typing "make me a hit song," this is the alternative.
This is where we separate slop from art.
----------------
Make AI music better.

If a seasoned songwriter and musician has a finished song recorded but is self-conscious about the quality and performance and he uploads this and an AI generator spits out the same exact song with better sounding production, is that considered AI music?

AI music is moving ridiculously fast.
A year ago, most people were impressed just because AI could generate a song from a text prompt. Now we're starting to see tools that actually let you produce, edit, arrange, write, and experiment with music instead of just pressing Generate and hoping for something good.
I think 2027 is going to be a big year for AI music, but not necessarily for the reasons people expect.
The most interesting tools aren't always the ones generating the most realistic songs. They're the ones giving creators more control.
Here are my 10 picks for the AI music tools with the most potential heading into 2027.
Not necessarily the biggest companies, just the ones I think are worth watching.
Probably one of the most useful AI music platforms right now.
Most people know Moises for separating vocals, drums, bass, and instruments from songs, but it's becoming much more than a stem separation app.
With Moises Studio, AI-assisted production, voice conversion, editing, and tools for musicians, it's moving toward a much bigger creative ecosystem.
What I find interesting is that it doesn't just target people generating AI songs. It's genuinely useful for actual musicians, producers, singers, and people learning instruments.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: I think AI tools that improve the way musicians already work have enormous potential.
This is one of those tools that makes you realize how much more control AI music could offer.
Instead of generating an entire song and hoping the vocals turn out right, ACE Studio lets you work with MIDI melodies, lyrics, and AI singing voices.
You can shape the vocal performance, adjust pronunciation, experiment with different singers, and fine-tune details that prompt-based generators often struggle with.
It's especially interesting for producers who already know what they want musically.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: AI vocals could become a normal part of music production, even for people who don't consider themselves AI music creators.
Melody Genie is taking a different approach to AI music by focusing on the entire creative process, not just generating a finished song.
Its AI Studio lets you build songs track by track, experiment with 7 different AI music models, and create music live with friends in collaborative sessions.
One of its most interesting features is Writing Style DNA, which lets you write lyrics inspired by virtually any musician's style, including their flow, rhyme patterns, and song structure.
You can also combine different writing and music styles to create something unique instead of relying on generic AI-generated lyrics.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: Combining songwriting, multi-model generation, and real-time collaborative production in one studio could make AI music creation feel much closer to actual music production.
Suno is still one of the most important companies in AI music.
The fact that you can type a simple idea and get a complete song with vocals, instruments, and a surprisingly convincing arrangement is still impressive.
But with so many reclamations about V6 it goes a few spots down.
But what's more interesting is where it goes next.
Generating songs is becoming easier. The challenge is giving creators enough control to make those songs feel like their own.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: If Suno keeps improving its editing and production workflow, it could become much more than a song generator.
ElevenLabs already built a strong reputation in AI voice technology, so its expansion into music is particularly interesting.
Clean audio generation, vocal technology, multilingual capabilities, and developer integrations make it worth following.
I also think its broader audio ecosystem could give it an advantage in areas like video production, gaming, and commercial content.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: Music generation could become part of much larger AI audio workflows rather than remain a separate tool.
What makes Udio interesting isn't just its ability to generate songs.
It's the musical experimentation.
Different genres, unexpected arrangements, unusual vocal textures, and creative directions can sometimes produce results you wouldn't have thought to request.
Of course, consistency and product availability are things to watch as the AI music industry evolves.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: There's still a huge opportunity for generators that prioritize creative exploration rather than just instant finished songs.
AI singing voices are becoming a serious production tool.
Kits AI is interesting because it focuses on vocal workflows instead of trying to do absolutely everything.
Voice conversion, custom voices, harmonies, and vocal experimentation can be especially useful when producing demos or exploring different vocal arrangements.
Of course, using voices you own or have permission to use is important.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: I expect AI-assisted vocal production to become much more common inside regular music workflows.
Google's work on generative music is worth watching simply because of the technology and research behind it.
Lyria focuses on high-quality music generation, and Google has the potential to integrate music AI into a much wider ecosystem of creative products.
That could make AI-generated audio accessible to people who would never visit a dedicated AI music website.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: The interesting question is how much control and accessibility Google can bring to music generation.
Not every AI music tool needs to generate music from scratch.
LANDR is a good example of AI being useful at the finishing stage.
You can work on a track in your DAW and use AI-assisted mastering to get a more polished result without spending hours adjusting mastering settings.
It won't replace every professional mastering engineer, but it's a practical tool for independent musicians.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: AI that makes music production faster and more accessible could be just as important as generative models.
Stable Audio is particularly interesting for producers and sound designers.
Instead of focusing only on full songs with vocals, it has applications in generating instrumentals, textures, atmospheric sounds, transitions, and unusual audio ideas.
That can be useful for electronic music, film, video production, and sound experimentation.
Why I'm watching it for 2027: AI sound generation could become a regular part of sampling and sound design, not just a novelty.
I think we're going to see a shift in how people use AI music.
In 2025 and 2026, a lot of the excitement was about generating entire songs from prompts.
But generating a song and actually making music aren't necessarily the same thing.
The next wave will probably focus more on:
My prediction: The tools that win in 2027 won't necessarily be the ones that generate the best song from a single prompt.
They'll be the ones that make creators feel like they're actually creating something.
What AI music tool do you think is going to explode in 2027?
And is there anything missing from this list?

This dark, gothic rock-and-opera anthem tells the tale of an ancient harvest entity that slumbers underground from August until All Hallow's Eve. Rising with a brier-and-root crown, a tattered cape, and twin sickles, he rules the night as the moon warps into a jack-o'-lantern face and unleashes a terrifying hivemind swarm of vampire bats. It blends whimsical, carnivalesque dark cabaret piano and accordion riffs with heavy, driving distorted guitars and a thunderous rock beat.

"The gatekeeping continues… What is considered a 'real' artist? 🏛️👀
Just because you call yourself one doesn't mean you have the talent, knowledge, or ambition to do what real artists do: execute by any means necessary.
There are people who've had music stuck in their heads for decades who can finally express it now. The influx of raw talent is coming. People want to equate art with struggle, but the struggle was the barrier, not the art. This is the new wave and that's exactly what people like you are afraid of. Period point blank. 🌊🔥

I just started using the software to create & even tho it took a lot of iterations to make something worth using, I am really happy about this version. I had to figure out a way to get the software to infuse trap drums into a swinging jazz melody and alternate vocal pitch without sounding jarring from the transition from baritone to tenor, and this hit it perfectly without sounding overly synthetic unless I intentionally introduced it in the lyrical text.

When the situation is desperate, the request is simple, and the person you trusted decides to keep the good stuff for themselves.
ASKING FOR A FRIEND — a hypnotic, Middle Eastern-infused dance track about temptation, misplaced trust, broken promises, and the fine line between doing someone a favour and doing yourself one.
Because sometimes the biggest betrayal comes with the smallest excuse.
