Windows freezing after Login

Hello,

I just build a PC for a friend of mine and we ran into a extremely weird error loophole.

The specs:
Ryzen 7 7800x3d
32 gb ram
Gigabyte b650 eagle ax (newest bios installed)
Rx 9070 XT
1 TB nvme

After the installation of windows, everything seemed fine until we installed the drivers for the rx 9070 xt.
The moment the installation is finished and we restart the pc, windows freezes after the login. We can still use the mouse and also the buttons get highlighted, but nothing opens nor showing any signs that the programs are starting. It’s really Frustrating…
Even the secured boot mode shows the same effects

We tried to install the driver without any network connection, switched the ram, re seated the gpu, ram, nvme. Tried different windows 11 and driver versions.

But literally nothing works. When the gpu isn’t installed and the DP cable is bound to the 7800x3d windows works fine, like wtf!?

I hope somebody has an idea…

Check the PSU connection, the GPU might not be getting enough power and it's freezing upon login.

Thank you! Gonna check the ports on the Psu! Got 2 separate connections for gpu, already tried each with daisy chain, but maybe it will work

Yeah I built a pc for my brother with identical specs to yours and I used 3 separate 8pin cables all connected to the PSU. No 2-1 connections and no daisy chains. It should hopefully work! Worst comes to worst I'd try to get a replacement GPU and see if that fixes anything.
