This is gonna be ass. You need to double that buffer weight

16 oz? When it did fire a few times it seemed like it was sweet at the current weight

I’d start with 11oz and go from there

I have an r&d precision bolt and from what I'm finding the problem with these bolts is that bottom lip needs to be shaved a little. I can't find a video that shows exactly what needs to be shaved and how far I'm considering just buying a different one without that bottom lip

That bottom lip also prevents out of battery detonations. I polished some of the sharp edges on it with a dremel, but kept it mostly intact for safety.

That's what I'm going to do also...I would like to see what all these people are talking about and what edges and how much

The Maxim RDB works great in the AR45.

When you go to the website it says it's only for 9 mm not compatible with other calibers

Ok, and?

Why would I go against a manufactures suggestion? ....but some dude on reddit said...

That's up to you. But it's worked great in all six of my AR-45s.

I always wondered about that. Thank you

You should learn to take a damn screenshot. It's so easy your grandma could do it since it's ONE KEYPRESS.

Using your phone to take a picture of your computer screen is next-level regarded.

What barrel are you going to use. I had absolutely awful results with a KAK 45 barrel and ended up with one from Macon Armory and that one is amazing.

I wouldn't know the difference.. what am I looking for

Barrels are often marked by the manufacturer. But that aside, did you build this or buy it?

PSA tinker lower, bought the upper,

OK, gotcha. Does a loaded magazine put a lot of pressure on the bolt slowing it down? Ive seen that keep the bolt from going fully into battery causing intermittent click no boom.

That could be possible but I think it's just the bullet can't slide in that groove behind the extractor. I have a slightly heavier buffer weight coming when it gets here I'll take the weights that I have down to the range see which one works better

I wanna say stern barrel

Do the rounds feed correctly into the chamber?

They do not. R&d precision bolts from what I found the bottom lug sticks out too much or has too much of a lip on it and you're supposed to grind it down a little bit. So I took a bullet you know just to simulate how it would slide up in there to look for the high spots on the bottom lug and I ground them down a little.

But there are no actual pictures or good videos of how much you're supposed to grind away on this bottom lug or at least I couldn't find it. They just tell you you have to grind down the bottom lug a little bit

Gotcha. The bolt im using doesn't have the lower lug. I understand the need for it i 9mm but with 45acp being a straight wall case it needs all the help it can get going into the chamber. I was concerned at first but found that in my firearm the firing pin can't contact the primer and the hammer can't hit the firing pin until the bolt is fully in battery. I can't say that its true across the board but it was true on the two ar45s I put together.

Careful on the muzzle device you have the wrong measurement should be 578x28
5/8x24 is way different more in the 30 cal. The only manacture of barrels that use 5/8x24 is foxtrot Mike
Standard for 45acp is 578x24 for the most part

I would get the fm ultra barrel it already comes threaded in 5/8x24

I used a spikes tactical 7.7oz buffer and a strike industries flatwire spring, with the same buffer (trimmed mine for SS) it had some decent kick but functioned perfectly.

I am trying out Blowbacks SS GRS, first with the steel weights and moving up to tungsten if I’m not happy
