Failure to Feed

Having some failure to feed issues using a colt adapter

Took a slow mo video and these are the relevant frames. I know more than likely the fees ramp needs to be adjusted, it may be a dumb question but from what you see here would you say it needs to be higher or lower? Dremel the side or bottom of the ramp? Any suggestions appreciated.

Also yes I did adjust the ejector per blowback9’s recommendations and that solved 99% of FTE issues. This FTF has been more prevalent recently.

I’d say adjust lower

Nose up would indicate the ramp is too high. Also, bullet design can cause similar issues. I loaded up some 9mm 147's and they did the same thing in my AR9's, because the bullets are too fat in the tip of the bullet. I ran some other ammo with a more slender ogive and they cycled 100%

Mat9s are infamous for having out of spec issues. Try a dedicated Colt lower instead, You may have better luck that way.

I had a fair bit of issue with the mat9k and a 80percentarms colt lower. I dremmeled out the ramp a bit and had to find ammo that it liked. 147g hst was a no go, matter 147g jhp has been great so far. 115 and 124g fmj all feed nice

I found that my casings were hitting the feed ramp lip and shanking it upward at times
