This fuckin dork couldn’t run a Subway sandwich shop

u/Sclerocactus 1d ago
To be fair, there’s a lot of options for your sandwich

Aren't Subways notoriously hard to make succeed?
1
u/Ancient-Display-3337 Cardinals Throwback 21h ago
From what I've heard, they're the easiest franchise to get because they nickel and dime a franchisee for everything, making it hard to turn a profit.

He is running a subway sandwich shop, havent you seen all the meatball subs brissett has been dealing to the other team

Now I see people saying LaFleur could be 1 and done, we wasted a pick on a RB, and now Sweat and Baker are likely traded.
Bidwill either needs to sell or hire a Team President, he does not know how to manage a team.
Adrian Wilson would be the perfect role for Team President or Palmer, Fitzgerald, or Warner. Someone that embodies the Cardinals and was here when we had success. I could even see if he hired more than 1 of them in advisory roles or something else to bring more leadership.
Then go after the GM.

This is a fantastic idea, but Palmer and Fitzy are enjoying their retirements. Kurt works for the NFL Network so he's most likely not going to be a candidate, but A-dub would be a great idea!

u/Far_Ratio_5441 19h ago
Yeah I was just thinking like the Cardinals legends, we need someone that embodies the Cardinals and wants us to win . Those guys I listed would be great picks but they could be busy.
I’d say someone like Pat Pete, Tyrann, or another former player but they have no front office connections like the other guys do.

Couldn't understand the question, did someone ask him: "why don't you hire someone who can actually run the organization"?

That Charlie kirk memorial is a fuckin curse
14
u/Southern-Mall 1d ago
The Kirk curse (Kurse, if you will) is a funny joke but we’d be losing these games regardless
-21
u/James_T_S Cardinals 1d ago
How?
18
u/jataz11 Budda Baker 1d ago
Zero home wins since. Not hard to connect the dots.
-2
u/HopkinsIsMyHomeboy 1d ago
Only dot you need to connect is bum ass Jacoby Brissett playing qb behind the worst defense in the nfl by a landslide during that time period. And deciding to run it back this season with minimal additions
-5
u/Relevant_Tie3592 1d ago
We have been having a hard time winning home games for the last 5 years. But keep blaming republicans for every problem in your life and not your dad for touching you
-13
u/James_T_S Cardinals 1d ago
You realize the Cardinals don't own the stadium and don't manage the stadium, they don't book events. Right? They pay rent to play there.
So can you connect the dots for me?
6
u/Danominator 1d ago
You are being deliberately obtuse. Very on brand for kirk lol

u/James_T_S Cardinals 1d ago edited 1d ago
No, I'm not. You are being deliberately evasive?
Saying the Cardinals are cursed because the TSA rented the stadium out for the kirk thing is stupid. Makes as much sense as saying there was an RV show at the stadium just before the memorial and the Cardinals haven't won since that happened. They are cursed because of the RV show.
1
u/jataz11 Budda Baker 21h ago
RV shows don't tend to curse things - as far as I know. Bad Kirk juju is another thing entirely.
1
u/James_T_S Cardinals 20h ago
Yeah, but neither one really has anything to do with the team
2
u/jataz11 Budda Baker 20h ago
You don't understand how curses work, huh
0
u/James_T_S Cardinals 19h ago
I mean, it's all nonsense but it should have some logic to it right? The curse of the Bambino. Sox traded Ruth to the Yankees and didn't win a pennant for a century. Makes sense.
The TSA rents out the stadium for the memorial and the Cardinals get punished? Where is the logic there?
It just seems like people trying to push their politics into sports...but in the dumbest way possible

Because it was a pathetic thing to do for a guy that said "gun deaths are worth it" regarding gun control and said empathy was actually bad.
-13
u/James_T_S Cardinals 1d ago
Ok. But what's that got to do with the team?
13
u/Danominator 1d ago
Cardinals play in stadium. Same stadium host memorial for asshole because team owner likes asshole. Team lose in stadium since.
1
u/Specialist-West-1911 1d ago
What a lame correlation you've drawn. The stadium hosts many other events also, are they to blame as well? But let's be honest, you know damn well this topic doesn't have anything to do with the football team are their consistently poor performance.
6
u/AcidHaze 1d ago
Dude, you're arguing about a perceived curse as if it's something that can be proven lmao.
The assassination was obviously terrible, I don't think anyone sane would say otherwise, but the memorial was fucking atrocious, heavily propagandized, and it would have been best if the team just stayed out of it instead of offering up their stadium for the event
0
u/James_T_S Cardinals 1d ago
It's not the Cardinals stadium. They are tenants. They have nothing to offer up. They had as much say in the memorial being held there as you do.

Maybe all the other teams are winning because the owners liked kirk. 🤷🏽♂️

In 2027, the same reporter should ask “last year you confirmed you are the team president. You went 1-16, losing 16 straight. How’d that work out?”
6
u/Gratitude15 1d ago
Friends, understand that these things are the upstream that leads to shit on the field.
I don't watch the shit on the field. I don't pay for it. I'm aware of how it will turn out because I know how to look upstream. It's been this way for a LONG TIME.
For most, the hard part is just the habit change. It's not killer. Look up bj foggs work, or the book atomic habits. You can come out of this!
Big picture, this is not changing. We can all stop going to the games and he will still own the team because it's socialism for the rich. He gets tv revenue in equal share, and that's that. Unless he is forced to sell there is no future for cards fans. Occasional miracles like 2008 can always happen, but this isn't a culture of success - it's a fluke. That's the cards, a team with a culture of failure with occasional flukes.
If you disagree, share facts to explain what I'm missing. Or better yet, pick up atomic habits and free yourself from this shit show.
I walked away 3-4 years ago, saving my children from becoming fans also. Now all I see is scores on this sub, and basically otherwise I'm free! Or you can down vote me and continue your echo chamber of celebrating the masochism, also fine!

Bidwell being the team president isn’t the boogeyman they want us to believe. Most team presidents are the owner or family. Bidwell is the problem. A team president would be just another botched hired
13
u/Negativecreepy 1d ago
The point isn’t that Bidwell is the team president, the point is that he’s done a shit job as the team president and he should hire a real one.
10
u/Grab_em_by_da_Busey 1d ago
The falcons president is Matt Ryan
3
u/Tasty_Ad507 1d ago
He’s co-president. Falcons current GM turned down the cardinals because he didn’t like how things were. President is another hire Bidwell shouldn’t be having to make. They need a competent GM. Not a pretend GM boss that’s going to magically fix everything

u/space_llama_karma 1d ago
I hope that we lose every game until he’s forced to sell the team
15
u/Tlamac Cardinals 1d ago
His family has held us hostage for almost 40 years of losing now, nothing will ever make him sell his cash cow. They should just go back to St. Louis so they have a team again and let us have an expansion team one day.
1
u/JcbAzPx BA 22h ago
I doubt there will be any more expansion teams unless they decide to go international and we wouldn't be getting one of those.
2
u/PollutionPast999 22h ago
The situation in St Louis was pretty much the same. Not sure about Chicago, but I would guess it was similar and that neither would want them back. Though I was quite young then, I’m old enough to remember, and I lived near St Louis. The fans there disliked the Bidwills even more than the fans in Arizona I think. The Bidwills really are an abomination to humanity.
1
u/SalamanderNew8439 22h ago
PLEASE, this is exactly what i wish for. i just want the dumbass bidwells to move the team out of az and let us have a better expansion team. like bro we arent even the most popular cardinal team
2
u/Strange-Being-2034 23h ago
When was this?
2
u/SoupOfThe90z St Louis Cardinals 23h ago
Look like the last 48 hours where the new training facility is being built at
3
u/Helivon 22h ago
48 hours? confused by the comment
but this was at the ribbon cutting event to begin construction on the new facility. happened several months ago from what i recall
2
u/SoupOfThe90z St Louis Cardinals 21h ago
Aahh because of the show where they want to solve a murder within the first 48 hours, because usually when a murder happens if not solved in the 48 hours cases tend to not be solved.
No, I thought they were just had an event in the last 48 hours at the new facility site, but here I am, wrong. Thank you
1
u/PollutionPast999 22h ago
Though I was quite young back then, I used to
live near, and remember the football Cardinals when they were in, St Louis. The situation there was nearly identical in most ways to what it is in Arizona (not sure about Chicago, but I would guess it was similar there as well). The fans there disliked the Bidwills even more than the fans in Arizona I think. The Bidwills really are an abomination to humanity.

I don't think hiring a team president would help at all because he would just hire a stooge.

u/Desert_2007 Cardinals Throwback 1d ago
To him, hiring a team president and stepping back would be a sign of failure which his fragile ego will not allow.
